Yea I'm going to change that to 'child' since it makes more sense, and it is the translation that most people agree with. It was probably just a small mistake on my part, but I would still like to know how what Nene said translated to 'child'. The main purpose of my blogging is to study Japanese afterall.

and I don't mind the multi-posts so don't worry~ lol

even if they did say CHILD they mentioned afterward how yumiko's need for 'warmth' was a bit more extreme. so its plausible the child became a mistress to her mother.

serin was the subber. their site happens to be down at the moment, however.

Lilah> If you are refering to the triplets refusing her orders, think back to episode 2 when Juna talks about how she had been inhabiting Yumiko. Of course we still don't know much about the small girl, or who she is exactly.

If you are refering to the part where I wrote 'that girl was Yumiko’s mistress', that is just my personal translation. I thought I heard Nene say 'oku-sama' which translates more to wife or mistress. Although I'm probably just an idiot, because everywhere else I look they are clearly saying she said 'child'. If anyone more fluent in Japanese can tell me how what she said translates to child, please tell me. I usually revise my texts when I find something wrong.

Yeah, 13 episodes does seem about right for this series. As its been meaning, going backwards makes sense --- and it seems to be to long for a 24/26 episodes.

Anyway, such a great episode. Very much liked the scenes we were given with Haruhiko --- also good to see my wonderful Touka in action.

hashihime> I love your idea of the english wiki, and I've already posted on your blog about it. As far as the episodes go, looking at episode 1, I just don't see them working with that timeframe. It may be in the city, but I think everything Touka and Momo could do there would be the same as in the school they are in at the present. No matter how I look at it now, it seems like the end.

optimus> you strike again my friend...maybe I'll actually write a dbz post for you. That would be some fun...Haha~ ^.

Great post. Thanks for doing this. My favorite show of the new season, too.

I like the idea of it going backward to the halfway point, then going to the end of ep1 and going forward from there. But I agree that 24-26 episodes seems a stretch. I also agree that Mihashi was not especially satisfying, though I came round when I saw the connection (whatever it is) with the masked man. And when I got used to the weird laugh.

I've made an English-language wiki for the show, with some translations from the Japanese wiki. There are plenty of ideas there, especially on the "characters" page.

People should please feel free to add facts, comments, speculations, etc., to the wiki if they like. I just made it as a test to see if people found it a useful vehicle.
