Summary:

Somewhere in a dark forest, we see the dead masked man in a candle lit cave. Elsewhere, Juna is sleeping while Kikyou prepares breakfast. She thinks to herself that things will be hard for Juna if things stay the way they are. After waking Juna, she informs her that breakfast is ready. Elsewhere, Fuu is bathing in a waterfall above a pond.

At school, Momoka is takes some time to find something to eat. She runs into Shouko, and they have lunch together. Makoto shows up with drinks shortly afterwards, but they find that they are really hot. She tells them that it is fine, because she is burning up as well. Makoto reveals to them that she had been chosen for the upcoming concert, and Shouko embraces her to congratulate her. However, while she is doing this, she finds that Momoka has eaten all of her remaining meal. Somewhere else on the school grounds, Touka is lying in the grass while a butterfly lands on him then magically shatters.

At Fuu’s location, she has finished bathing and continues to travel. That night, Nene tends to Yumiko in her room. Yumiko is thirsty so Nene offers to get her some water, but Yumiko would rather have watermelon. In the kitchen, Nene uses magic to restore a watermelon, saying that she can at least to that much. A hungry Momoka walks in, and becomes very excited upon seeing that Nene is preparing watermelon. She raises it above her head, but it is destroyed by a flying arrow. Pulling the arrow out of the wall, they observe the attached letter that is from Mana. In the lighted cave, Mihashi comes out of the masked man’s body.

Still at night, Touka is sleeping in his room, when Makoto comes in to wake him up. She blows into his ear, causing him to wake up in panic. Touka finally asks her what she wants, and Makoto replies to him that she received an order from Kikyou in her dreams.

In the morning, Momoka meets Juna somewhere in Kamitsumihara. Juna serves Momoka tea, as they talk about things that have happened in the past and how things are at the moment. On the school rooftop, Touka is attempting to help Makoto. She wants him to summon the stone sword, but it doesn’t happen no matter what he tries.

At their home, Juna and Kikyou discuss the dolls and reminisce about the past. After getting into their separate futons, Juna asks if she can sleep in Kikyou’s. Kikyou thinks it would be a bad idea, asking Juna if she knows of the butterfly effect. Kikyou tells her that she doesn’t know what would happen if they were to touch. However, shortly afterwards she tells Juna that she only said that because she thought it sounded cool.

The next day, on the school rooftop, Momoka tells Kikyou that she wants to rest eternally. Kikyou wonders if she is ok with that, and Momoka confirms that she is. However, when Kikyou wonders about Touka, Momoka thinks that there is no way that would be ok. Afterwards, Shouko passes by Momoka in the cafeteria, finding it strange that Momoka isn’t acting herself. Elsewhere, Fuu is seen in a field of flowers. Back at the school, Touka and Makoto finally start to glow.

As Momoka is walking home, she thinks to herself that there is no way that she can live in this world as a human. She is then very surprised when she sees Fuu coming from the opposite direction. Fuu addresses Momoka as her older sister, and tells her that she is going to see Juna. As Fuu leaves, Momoka is distressed that the three of them have finally appeared in the same place. Momoka turns to see Mihashi, ready to capture her.

Impression:

Wow, this series continues to show off how ecchi it is with every episode. I think they may just like showing naked women, because there were so many revealing scenes in this episode. Also, as I expected from looking at some of the game screenshots, the characters have started to go chibi; Momoka in particular during the watermelon scene. Touka and Makoto also had comic type things come out of them while talking. Speaking of characters, Momoka is so funny! She obviously likes to eat a lot. I wonder if that’s her price to pay for being a contractor. (Oops wrong series). Juna and Kikyou make such a cute couple, and a yuri one at that. It was nice to see how they acted like a normal couple while living together. Momoka also mentioned to Juna that they were lovey lovey together. It was hilarious when Kikyou just pushed the whole butterfly effect thing off as a joke! In this episode, we also see a bit more of Momoka and Juna’s rivalry, that isn’t quite hatred, so there was a lot of character development as well. It is also pretty much confirmed now that this series is going in reverse chronological order, with Mihashi appearing to catch Momoka at the end of the episode.

So yea, I’ve pretty much given up on losing sleep to write posts on this show. I’m sure you guys don’t mind getting these on Tuesdays from now on. >.>

For those of you who want more details than from what is provided in my summaries, and are too impatient to wait for subs, Hashihime has created a Touka Gettan Wiki with a more direct translation of each episode. Check it out if you are interested, and feel free to help out with the content!

Hey, thx for writing up this show!
I have now paused at ep3 so far. I can’t imagine myself watching the whole serie backward. To think that the end is the beginning and vice versa kinda make me feel weird. I wish we see something fantastic at the end of this serie! (That is the last ep)

The reverse chronologically actually gives a nice feel to the show. The plot reveals itself in an interesting way because of it. It’s also a great idea by the creaters, because a lot of people (including myself) will plan on rewatching the series in the ‘correct’ order after it is done airing.

As far as the end of the series goes, I think it is fitting enough to see Touka and Momoka’s reunion. Their relationship is actually the focus of the show afterall, with Touka Gettan being in a romance fantasy type genre. ;)

I agree with your opinion about the rev-chrono…
It is a very nice idea. Common senses go BOOM. :]

Yeah, the first ep is atleast the best ending I could want for this show. And i never thought the idea of rewatching in a correct order. Perhaps I should just start watching Touka again now ;)
