Nagasarete Airantou - 05
Yukino finds Kuma Kuma in a shed eating all of the jam inside. Yukino scolds her, and compares Kuma Kuma to Suzu with her love for daifuku, causing shock for her.
Ikuto is helping Suzu fish in the river. He wonders to himself how long it has been since he has landed on the island, and if he will really be there forever. Suddenly Yukino falls from the sky and lands on Ikuto, causing them to both pass out. Suzu prepares to give Ikuto CPR again but he quickly wakes up, giving them both relief in their own ways. Meanwhile, Yukino’s friends help each other to revive her. Ikuto finds is very surprised to find that both Suzu and Yukino can understand everything the animals are saying. On the other hand, they are also surprised that Ikuto cannot. Suzu notices that Kuma Kuma is not there, so Yukino declares that they search for her. Yukino pairs herself with Ikuto, while the rest of her friends and Tonkatsu go with Suzu.
While carrying Yukino, Ikuto notices some large bear tracks on the path. With this, he believes it will be very easy to find Kuma Kuma. There is a bear eating honey, and Ikuto thinks that they have already found Kuma Kuma. However, it is not her, so Ikuto gets a punch in the face. Yukino tries to tell him that it was obvious that he wasn’t Kuma Kuma. Ikuto continues to search but keeps getting the same results. He cannot understand how Yukino can tell so easily.
Yukino finally tells Ikuto that Kuma Kuma is easy to point out because of the mark she has below her chin. Of course, Ikuto wishes that she told him that in the first place. They decide to take a break, while Yukino generates from fruit for the two of them to eat. Ikuto asks Yukino if Kuma Kuma is really her favorite, but she scolds him because she doesn’t choose favorites. However, she tells him that she has probably been with her the most. Yukino then tells Ikuto the story about her meeting Kuma Kuma as a child, and how they became friends. After remembering these things, she begins to cry. In that case, Ikuto thinks that they should hurry up and continue, as he picks Yukino back up to search.
Meanwhile, Suzu and Yukino’s animals sense a presence in their path. It turns out to be Ayane who wants to challenge Suzu again. She tries to show off her quick movements, but Kamo Kamo just slaps her away. As they continue on, Suzu finds it amazing that all of them protect Yukino. They wonder if Ikuto protects Suzu the same way, but Suzu tells them that it isn’t really like that.
As Ikuto and Yukino continue their search, Yukino thinks that at this rate, it is definitely impossible to find Kuma Kuma. However, Ikuto doesn’t want her to say that phrase, reciting a quote from his father: “If you don’t even believe in your own strength, than what will you do?”. Ikuto comes up with an idea to draw Kuma Kuma and he starts to use it to ask the animals around the area about her. He gets negative results, and even has it messed up by one bear in the process. However, he finally finds a raccoon that has seen her.
After leading them in the right direction, Ikuto and Yukino find themselves at a very high bridge. Yukino notices that Ikuto is no good with high places, so decides to cross it herself. However, as she crosses, the bridge breaks on Ikuto’s side. He grabs on and catches Yukino as the bridge falls. The bridge then starts to break again from the other side, causing them to both panic again. They both start to fall but they are bounced back into the air. They fall into some bushes in the forest, and finally find that it was Kuma Kuma that saved them. Yukino is very relieved to finally find her, as Suzu and the rest of the animals appear at the spot. Ikuto is surprised again to find Kuma Kuma talking in human language. All of the animals start talking to him normally, so he runs off because he doesn’t want to accept it. They all chase after him, while Suzu looks with a slightly disappointed face.
Impression:
This probably has to be my least favorite episode so far. I honestly don’t really like Yukino and her animals. Tonkatsu is more than enough! Puu~! It was kind of funny to see Ikuto trying to ask the animals about Kuma Kuma though. It was like a foreigner trying to ask directions xD. They also added a bit of Suzu’s feelings toward Ikuto while they were separated in this episode. But I mean it is pretty obvious that she is going to develop feelings for Ikuto and end up with him in the end, despite not knowing anything in the beginning. That’s just how these shows work. So yea, the first thing that came to my mind while watching this episode…Pokemon! Gotta catch em all~~! >.< Hopefully next episode will be more fun.
