A younger Nagasumi and Mawari are playing a card game together. When Nagasumi’s mother calls out, Mawari catches one of the cards very fast. Nagasumi doesn’t think it is fair, but Mawari tells him that she wouldn’t let him have that card, because it is her dream. The card displays a police officer, which is what Mawari wishes to be in the future, just like her father.

In the present time, Nagasumi’s father is walking by the kitchen in the morning. Seeing San triggers a memory he had with Nagasumi’s mother when they were younger, where he was telling her about a dream he had about their future. However, when Nagasumi’s mother shows up in the present time, she isn’t as happy with the same line he tries to use again. Nagasumi shows up, admiring how San looks in an apron. Nagasumi’s mother wonders what the kids at school think of Nagasumi having such a cute wife, but they reveal to her that they have been keeping it a secret.

At school, Nagasumi notices how well San is getting along with the girls in their class. The guys show up harassing Nagasumi about San, but Mawari stops them. While she asks him if he is alright, San asks Saru about Nagasumi’s childhood. He tells her that Nagasumi and Mawari have always been together, and Mawari would always protect him. Mawari challenges Nagasumi to the card game again, so they start playing again in a very violent way. Afterwards, Nagasumi comforts a scared San, while Mawari notices how close they are.

After school, Mawari is in her room, trying to figure out their relationship. She notices that when she sees Nagasumi and San together she feels something of jealousy. The next day, she takes her feelings out by strictly enforcing her rules on bypassers. However, while she is doing this, she notices Nagasumi and San walk outside of his house together.

At school, Mawari interrogates Nagasumi, wondering about what she saw. All of the other students are also interested, as they listen from outside of the room. Despite his efforts to keep quiet, Nagasumi is easily tempted by the food Mawari presents to him. He quickly tells her that they are living together. When Mawari asks San about this, she confirms that Gouzaburou and Ren are her parents, but are living in a different house. Upon finding out that Nagasumi is living alone with San, all the guys in the class star beating up Nagasumi. During the panic, a flower vase is knocked out of Iinchou’s hands and the water spills on San’s legs. Nagasumi quickly covers them up with a blanket and starts to blow dry them, causing the class to go after him again. Mawari who thought she saw San’s legs transform, pulls off the blanket, but they have already reverted to normal.

That afternoon, Mawari is once thinking, but this time it is about San and her parents. Back at school, Nagasumi suspects that Mawari knows something because she is acting strange. Right then, Mawari pretends to fall, dropping a glass full of water in San’s direction. Of course, Nagasumi blocks the way, getting drenched himself. Mawari tries to express her belief that San’s legs transform to a fish tail when she gets wet, but Nagasumi tries continues to deny the possibility. Nagasumi thinks to himself that this is for Mawari’s sake, because she will be killed if she finds out San’s identity. However, Mawari cannot give up, because of her police officer’s instincts.

Throughout the day, Mawari continues to try to get San wet, but Nagasumi keeps blocking the way. He even finds himself in the girl’s bathroom, causing Gouzaburou to go after him for the remainder of the day. As they leave school in the afternoon, Maki meets San, telling her that she will take care of Mawari. However, San tells her that Nagasumi is actually working hard for Mawari’s sake, because he doesn’t want her to be in danger.

Mawari once again confronts Nagasumi and San in the neighborhood while they are with Saru. Mawari finally reveals her suspicion to San, but thinks she is a fish. To prove it, she pulls out a cat, because cats love fish. A mob of cats start to attack San, and even Nagasumi can’t block her this time. Maki tries to convince San to use her howling voice to get rid of them as they grab onto her, but she can’t because Mawari and Saru are watching. Nagasumi confronts Mawari, telling her to stop trying to figure out San’s secrets. He wonders what San has done wrong, and brings up Mawari’s dream and pulls out her card. Mawari says that Nagasumi isn’t being fair, and runs into the street. There is a moving car speeding towards Mawari, but Nagasumi runs to push her out of the way, while San unleashes her howling voice attack on the car.

Afterwards, Nagasumi and San observe a waking Mawari in a hospital room. Nagasumi thinks to himself that Mawari already knows the secret and prepares himself, but Saru walks into the room. Saru expresses to her that she was saved by San’s huge voice that made the car crash. However, Mawari thinks that what he is saying is ridiculous, and Nagasumi tries to cover up for San as well. During the uproar, Saru knocks over a flower vase and the water spills on San’s legs. Nagasumi panics, but Mawari quickly covers up her legs before anyone can see anything. Mawari thanks San for saving her, and apologizes for what she’s done. When Saru starts to mention Mawari’s relationship with Nagasumi, she shuts him up and drags him out of the room. She promises to them that she would definitely become a great officer one day, and thanks Nagasumi while she looks at her card in the sun set.

Impression:

So I think it’s pretty safe to say that Mawari actually knows San’s secret, although she will never reveal it. This episode was very fun as I hoped it would be, with a lot of crazy stuff happening in it. I think I’ve finally gotten used to the in your face humor that they use. San’s howling voice attack had dialog added to it! I think that just made it all the more epic. The card game was a nice touch, adding more to Mawari and Nagasumi’s friendship. We finally meet Luna next week, so I think it will be another fun episode!
