Summary:

Momoka greets Makoto at the school in the morning, noticing that her hair won’t stop standing up.The triplets are elsewhere, playing harps. Once they are done, the harps change back into their fans, and they generate some tea to drink. They think to themselves that it isn’t fair for only them to enjoy such good tea. Shouko greets everyone as she drives up the steps to the school. She tries to dodge the flying tea kettle that the triplets send after her by speeding up, but ends up hitting some things because of it. Momoka greets Touka when he shows up by telling him what a nice morning it is, but he wonders to himself if it is ok for it to be so peaceful.

In the student council room, many masked students are reporting to the triplets, as well as presenting them with a display of pens. As they walk outside, they notice that the flowers are missing from the lilies. Makoto shows up, presenting them with a gift from Shouko. They open the bag, to find that it is full of all the flowers they were looking for.

In the tea club’s room, the members are praising Shouko for her action, when one of the members show up with a display of pens. It is the same set of pens that were approved by the triplets earlier. Outside, Shouko thanks Makoto for doing her the favor, and is very happy to be called a maiden by her.

Touka is accompanying Momoka as she tries to decide what to eat. After noticing how long the line is, she decides to settle for melon bread. However, the triplets show up to stop her, suggesting something else. Shouko also shows up, contradicting their choice with one of her own. The two clubs show up to face off against each other when Haruhiko shows up. He wants them to stop arguing over him, and suggests something of his own. He declares a contest, but after he mentions his kiss as a reward, everyone has already left him.

Later in the day, the triplets are working to make a dish for the contest. Shouko is also making one at her place. Once the triplets are done making their dish, they find themselves bored. They decide to find something to do, using their butterfly forms to observe Makoto playing with Shouko, and a hungry Momoka walking home. Upon seeing Momoka, they decide to play a trick on her. They generate the dish they made next to a statue that she is passing. Momoka backtracks after sensing this. After wondering to herself if it is ok to take it, she munches on it with joy.

Afterwards, the triplets go to play with Yurika. They use their magic to change her clothes into many different types of cosplay, and in the end even make her go nude. Kikyou notices that three of the dolls are glowing and moving at her house, but she stops them. She doesn’t think things can go on as they are.

At night, Yumiko is in the bath, thinking to herself that someone is watching her. However, she puts it off as her imagination. Touka walks up to a sneaking Momoka who is watching the bathroom from outside. He wonders what she is doing, so she tells him about what happened earlier. The triplets showed up after she took the food from the statue and they despaired at what they should do about the contest. However, they told her that if she could capture the moon from the Kamiazuma bath then they could be saved, presenting her with a container to do it with. Of course, Touka thinks she is a fool after she tells this story. After Yumiko leaves, they both enter the bathroom. Momoka tries to capture the moon, but fails the first time. When she leaves to get something, Touka takes the chance to touch the water which reminds him of Yumiko. Momoka returns with the cover to the container, and with it captures the moon in the water.

The next day, she presents the container to the triplets, but when they open it, it is empty. They call Momoka a liar, and wonder what they should do. Touka suggests that the moon ran away, so the triplets present Momoka with another chance. Momoka goes after the moon in other water filled places, but the triplets use their magic to constantly make the image move to different places. As Momoka tries to chase it, Touka notices that this was their plan all along, but doesn’t bother to tell Momoka.

Afterwards, the two clubs are having the contest. Kikyou is to taste both the triplets and Shouko’s dishes, and decide which is better. Haruhiko announces the triplets’ dish first. Kikyou takes a bite, and notices that it is a Russian dish, as she goes off into her own world. When she tastes Shouko’s dish, she is just as amazed. It is a dish coming from Japan’s nature. Kikyou decides to drink some tea, before finally deciding that it was the triplet’s win. With this, a shocked Shouko angrily drives off and crashes into a building. Kikyou thinks to herself that it had to be that way.

That night at the Kamiazuma household, Touka enters the bathroom after Yumiko leaves. He uses a container to take some of the water, when Kikyou appears. She asks him if it would help him sleep because it reminds him of Yumiko. Afterwards, the triplets observe Touka as butterflies, while he sleeps clutching onto the container. They say to themselves, “Even though he is a doll….”. Elsewhere, Fuu appears.

Impression:

Wow, this episode was hilarious. I did expect the episode to be centered around the triplets after seeing last week’s preview, but I didn’t think it would be presented in this way. Momoka is so dumb. It was so funny to watch her fall victim to the triplet’s pranks, and the expression she had when stealing the food from ojisan was so great! This episode went a step further this week, making Yurika go completely nude, actually blocking out a certain region (you know what I mean). I suspect that part will be uncensored in the dvd release, and it makes me wonder how far they are going to go with this show. When I think about it, that scene was also completely pointless. They just added some loli fanservice out of nowhere. Kikyou’s visions after eating the triplets and Shouko’s food was a bit over the top as well. It was funny to watch, but I never expected to see her presented in that way.

Looking at this episode plotwise, I think the most obvious thing to point out would be the triplets calling Touka a doll at the end of the episode. This brings up previous questions of Touka’s existence. It reminds me of the time that Kikyou said that she could be considered Touka’s mother. We also see that he is very attached to Yumiko, considering her his mother. It will be interesting to see how they answer these questions in the future.
