Nagasarete Airantou - 06

Ikuto and Suzu are having trouble sleeping because the island has been constantly shaking. When the morning comes, Ikuto is outside practicing swings with a wooden sword. Suzu comes out wondering what he is doing, so he tells her that it is a man’s job to protect a girl. Suzu doesn’t quite understand, because there haven’t been any men on the island. As they walk through the village, Ikuto has trouble carrying one of the large fruits, while Suzu doesn’t seem to have any problem even with three. Although he promises to protect Suzu, he thinks to himself that she is probably stronger than him.

Once they get home, Suzu decides to take a bath. However, Ikuto is surprised when he hears her scream. He rushes to the bathroom to see what is wrong, but passes out form a nosebleed after seeing her naked. It turns out that there is no hot water running to the bath. That night, the girls comes to set up a bath. Rin brings the container, Yukino and Kuma Kuman fill it up with water, and Ayane ends up helping to star the fire. They all take their turns and enjoy themselves in their own ways.

After everyone is done, they rest for a while in Suzu’s house. Everyone is exhausted, and they discuss what a problem it is without running water. Ikuto suggests that it is fine not taking a bath every day, and there are many other ways to clean themselves. However, everyone very angrily tell him otherwise. They decide that they would do something about it the next day, as they leave to their own houses. That night while Suzu is sleeping, Ikuto decides that he would do something to help everyone.

Suzu wakes up to find a note left by Ikuto. He has traveled to the source of the water, trying to find a way to fix it. Ikuto finds the water pipes he is looking for, but also finds that he is very high above the ground. The wind starts to blow and he loses his balance, but he catches himself before he can fall off the cliff. However, the ground beneath him breaks, and he ends up falling anyways. Yukino comes flying by to save him, surprised to find Ikuto there.

Suzu and Rin are wondering what they are going to do about the problem, when they see Ikuto and Yukino next to a well. They open up the well, while Yukino brings a rope. Ikuto and Suzu make their way down (with just a bit of trouble), and begin picking the rocks. After working for awhile they take a break, and Suzu brings Ikuto a towel. He decides to take his shirt off because it is so hot, so Suzu decides to do the same, causing Ikuto to pass out as usual.

After working for awhile, Ikuto wonders if the water won’t ever come back out. Suzu despairs over that thought, when Tonkatsu notices something. The island errupts again, causing Ikuto and Suzu to fall when the ground breaks underneath them.

When they come to, Suzu wonders if they’ll ever be able to get out. Ikuto tells her not to worry because they can feel the wind coming from outside. If they travel in that direction, they would be able to find their way out. Ikuto helps Suzu up, but finds that she has trouble walking because of an injury. He ends up picking her up, telling her not to push herself.

Eventually, they find an exit, but they cannot reach it. Ikuto notices something in the water next to them, so he goes to inspect it. He finds that the water pouring out is very hot. He thinks that if he can break that, the water would restore itself. He starts to use a shovel to try to break the rock around the stream of water, but the head ends up breaking off. This isn’t enough to stop Ikuto, so he continues to try to break the rock with just the wooden part of the shovel. The rocks finally start to leak, but the water pressure is so great that Ikuto and Suzu get caught in the current. Ikuto grabs onto Suzu to try to keep her from floating away, but her hand eventually slips. She passes out while falling into the current, but Ikuto swims and grabs onto her arm. She comes to, and they find themselves floating above the stream of water that has popped out of the ground. Suzu starts to cry because of Ikuto’s actions, while Ikuto thinks that it really is a man’s duty of protect a girl. Suzu still doesn’t quite understand, but she feels very happy.

Impression:

Well this episode was pretty fun. There are a lot of fanservice shots, but it kinda feels like those scenes cheat us because it is on broadcast tv. We got to see a lot of fun scenes with Ayane and Maki, as well as Rin and Mikoto, while they were at the temporary bath. The girls’ reaction to Ikuto’s statement afterwards was pretty funny. I’m surprised that Ikuto didn’t die from blood loss in this episode, with all the situations he ran into with Suzu xP. Ikuto’s saving Suzu obviously added to their building relationship, but I guess it will still be awhile for Suzu to realize what love is and for Ikuto to accept it. I still really love how Tonkatsu just tags along everywhere. He just makes the scenes all the more fun. Puu~! ^.

So yea super late post because I had trouble getting the raw, but the homeless can’t be beggers………..or however that saying goes… >.>
