As Ikuto washes Suzu’s back and carries her into the bath, she notices that he is acting a bit different today. Ikuto wakes up in his futon to see that Suzu is having a dream in the water pot. The next day, Suzu has caught a cold and has to stay in bed. Obaba asks Ikuto to get some ice for her, and he is surprised that they can get it on the island.

Kuma Kuma and Kamo Kamo draw out some ice from a cave, and eat flavored ice with a green haired woman. As this woman sees Ikuto approach, she greets him by jumping on him. Recognizing her appearance, Ikuto wonders if she is Yukino’s older sister. However, he is surprised when Yukino comes out and refers to her as her mother. She introduces herself to Ikuto as Kagami, and wonders if he has come to play. Ikuto explains Suzu’s situation, so Yukino leads him inside the cave to get some ice. After finding that there isn’t any there, Kagami admits that they had just used it all. Although they try to redeem themselves, Ikuto decides that he would have to go to the mountain to get the ice. With this, Kagami and the others decide to go with him.

Machi decides that she would like some flavored ice, so she summons Machi with her voodoo doll. Meanwhile, Ikuto is surprised to find Machi on the back of the cart with everyone else. Machi notices signs of bad luck, and leaves after learning of the situation. She then uses her voodoo doll to contact Ayane with morse code about it, even though she is just around the corner.

Everyone finds that it is very cold once they start reaching the top of the mountain, and Ikuto turns to see Yukino using one of her animals for warmth. Kagami uses Taka Taka to fly ahead, then ends up starting a snowball fight with the other animals while Ikuto talks with Yukino. During the commotion, Ikuto realizes that they really didn’t need to go so far for ice. Meanwhile, Ayane summons Monjiro to take her to the mountain, after imagining the situations she could get in with Ikuto.

Even though Kagami and the others want to play, Ikuto wants to hurry back to Suzu. Letting everyone else stay behind, Ikuto takes the cart himself and heads back. On the way back, he starts to lose his strength and vision of the path. However, he starts running at full speed after thinking of Suzu. Because of this, he cannot stop himself from running off of the cliff ahead. Ikuto has a dream about spending a hot day with Suzu eating flavored ice, causing him to wake back up. He thanks Suzu, and starts to get back the cart that has been left above.

Yukino, who is worried about Ikuto, decides to leave the igloo alone to find him. Everyone else gets worried too and start to follow, but stop in their tracks after finding how cold it is. Suddenly, everyone gets caught in an avalanche, including Ikuto who had almost reached the cart. They crash land right in front of Machi, who takes the opportunity to take some of the snow to make her flavored ice. Worrying that it will start melting, Ikuto hurries with a ball of snow despite everyone’s suggestions that he rest. Kagami sends Taka Taka off to help him, who picks Ikuto up to fly him back. Obaba wonders where he has been for so long, as Ikuto notices that most of the ice has already melted. After she comes out, Ikuto is glad to see that Suzu has already gotten better from resting, but passes out soon after. This time, Ikuto is the one in bed, but they use the ice that he brought back for his fever.

Impression:

I thought the snowball fight was hilarious. It just had that completely random humor that you can’t help but laugh at. Kagami is actually pretty funny too, since she acts more irresponsible than her daughter. Other than that, I think this episode was pretty much the same as usual. I think most people will be happy to see that little bit of Machi. Oh yea, and wouldn’t Ikuto’s huge blood loss on the mountain be really bad? I swear that guy has an abnormal amount of blood. “Ooo it’s so shiny~”
