Hayate no Gotoku - 14

Hayate no Gotoku is as average as always, but wait! There’s a new ending! Now where’s my Seto no Hanayome?

Short Summary:

While Nagi informs Hayate of the party and prepares him for it, Yukiji visits Hinagiku for advice on what to do. They make their way to the mansion to apologize, but find that a party is already being held when they enter. Yukiji is unable to break the news to Hayate because of the pressure and how happy everyone seems, but the news is finally brought to him by Miki, Izumi, and Zeriha who just happen to stop by. Yukiji finally apologizes, but finds that Hayate has disappeared. Maria finds Hayate despairing outside because he has let everyone down, but she shows him that he was accepted through her recommendation. This causes Hayate to regain his composure, and he once again claims that he will do his best.

ED: “Get my way!” by Mami Kawada - I love this song! I like Mami Kawada as much as KOTOKO, if not more. It’s pretty fast paced, compared to the slow “Proof” by MELL. The animation has everyone in bathing suits for the summer.

Preview: Hayate finally attends school with Nagi.

Impression:

I was starting to lose interest with this show up until now because it was going so slow. I can see where they’re going with extending the episodes, but doing so doesn’t really make the show any more funny for me, so I don’t really like it. This episode was pretty good, but not as good as I was hoping for it to be. Watching Yukiji and Hinagiku was kind of cute, and we get to see Hayate and Nagi dance for those who care about that. I laughed when Miki, Izumi, and Zeriha came to finally break the news to Hayate because I didn’t remember that being in the manga, but other than that, the after episode short and ending were more interesting to me (Hayate was the bride and Nagi was the groom….wow xD). I’ll just keep hoping the show picks up. If anything, the opening and closings still have me hooked every week.
