Well, this is a pretty dialog driven show, so I’d imagine that it would take longer than other shows. There’s also all the extra work the subbers have to do for the joke text scattered around everywhere. AFK is also very good with quality, so they wouldn’t just release something for speed. I don’t know how much the new opening would matter either.

Well, the two shows are similar and very different at the same time. I don’t think we have to worry about Zetsubou Sensei trying to be NHK’s successor or anything.

Eh, I think most people don’t like NHK ni Youkoso! just because they don’t “get” it. One of the reasons I like Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei so much is because of its same use of dark humor and enlightenment. However, I doubt this show will turn out to be anywhere close to the NHK anime, since SHAFT is known for random humor and Gonzo is known for ~~crap~~ various other things. I’m sure that after all the characters are introduced we will just be getting episodic type stories with lots of jokes throughout (see Pani Poni Dash, Negima!?). Even though they have given Nozomu a harem, there probably won’t be any real love interest either.

So far its the funniest show to come out this year, since “Seto No Hanayome”, it really gives a weird twist to the harem genre, this in fact IS a harem anime, its spiced with random fan-service and it still manages to pull me searching for raws every week, but i wonder where they are taking this show, since it does seem that these episodes are just introducing Omoiro Kakaritchous(don´t know if i wrote that right) local harem, so it is kind of soon to tell if SHAFT can keep it fresh and funny for the rest of the 8 episodes, since i really don´t want another “NHK ni youkoso”, but sadly that is where i see this show heading.
Anyway good episode non-the-less.
