School Days – 05
It must be pool episode week or something in Japan.
Summary:
All of the girls get changed in the pool’s dressing room, while Makoto waits outside with Taisuke. Hikari had Makoto give a ticket to Taisuke on an earlier day, and everyone ended up going on the same day. Hikari manages to have Taisuke come with her after the girls go outside, and Makoto helps Kotonoha learn how to swim. After being left alone for awhile, Makoto starts talking with Sekai. She once again denies him any more training, and brings up that he is going out with Kotonoha. When Kotonoha comes back outside, everyone stops to eat lunch. Taisuke becomes shocked when he finds out that Makoto and Kotonoha are dating, as he believed that Makoto was with Sekai. Kotonoha arrives earlier than the rest of the girls and greets Makoto as they prepare to leave, but he seems to be more concerned with seeing the other girls. Sekai drags him off for a bit, and scolds him again for acting that way. Makoto insists that Sekai knows what he really wants, but she only states that he is Kotonoha’s boyfriend. Makoto leaves Kotonoha early after getting off the bus, and starts making phone calls to Sekai. He eventually meets her in the rain, and kisses her despite her confusion. He declares that she is the one he likes, and they have sex in Sekai’s room that night.
Impression:
Is it just me or did Kotonoha’s boobs change sizes throughout the episode? Well, it looks like the tides have finally turned half way through the series. I find it really funny that when Makoto was declaring that he loved Sekai, the only thing he was paying attention to was her boobs and her butt. Yea….that’s real love, douche bag(4). I was also wrong last week when I guessed that the two might have went all the way last week, but it is pretty much confirmed that they did this time. I can’t believe Kotonoha didn’t overhear even one of Makoto and Sekai’s conversations. I just kept seeing it coming, but it never happened…not even when Makoto grabbed Sekai’s butt in the pool. How convenient. I guess it will just add to the conflict from here on. Makoto probably won’t break up with Kotonoha straight off, so we’ll get to deal with all of that drama. I don’t know if I can call it drama though, because I can’t even take this show seriously with all the blatant fanservice.

You and me both. Katsura’s going to have massive back pain when she grows up. Err…if she grows up.

It is my hope that she does grow up, but Makoto’s breath won’t even be within 100km of wherever she is. We all know what is the best way to guarantee that.
i agree with the douche bag naming…i dont really like the way the story is going =\ but i guess that’s how things are
Shirukii > Dude, seriously. It wasn’t really bothering me up to this point, but after seeing them while she was in a bathing suit….wtf! Those are way too freaking huge. It doesn’t help that they do close ups of them every 2 seconds or something.
maglor > The way things are going, I would not be surprised at all if the animators gave us a much wanted bad end for Makoto.
Ssk > I will continue to call Makoto a douche bag in all of my posts until the end. The douche bag count is now at 4. Yea, the story is bothering me just because the relationship is so dysfunctional. The protagonist is to blame. The difference between this show and say, KGNE, is that it has so much random fanservice that you can’t take the story seriously when they try to present it.
Totali: I am totally agree with you that Makoto is a douche bag (count this as 5 times) lol. The fan service doesn’t bother me, but you are right that there are so random we sometime can’t take the story seriously. Some people still think that what happen isn’t Makoto’s fault because he is young and confused with love (Maybe because they havn’t watch the sub for episode 5 yet). Well, they will change their minds after watch this episode.
I agree that Makoto is a dick, but this just makes the show more intresting. The characters are very different from each other and this makes the drama even more great.
Personally I’m rooting for Sekai+Makoto happy ending, without hurting Kotonoha, but I guess that’s impossible. I know Makoto deserves to die but I don’t really like to see anyone get hurt at the end of the show, that just leaves me pissed.
Anyways this is one of the most intresting shows there is, and I look forward to see how it develops and what will happen at the end.
kenshin514 > Haha, I actually keep count of how much I put douche bag in my actual posts. I’m going to try to have said it one time for each episode. I think I’ll do a compilation of how much it has been said in my comments at the end too. It should be epic!
Mixu > The game has all kinds of endings, a lot of them being happy harem types. You could say that Makoto is realistic, but he’s realistic in a bad way. That’s why almost everyone hates him, and why I expect a bad end rather than a happy one. The School Days game is famous for its bad ends after all.
