Nagasarete Airantou – 18
Bushin no jutsu!? I thought I stopped watching Naruto a long time ago.
Summary:
After receiving a letter from Mikoto, Ikuto and Suzu find her sister Shinobu. Because she hasn’t eaten in a long time during her trip home, Ikuto and Suzu have her eat with them in their house. Having never seen Ikuto before, Shinobu guesses that he must be the boy that all of the animals have been telling her about. Imagining that he is extremely powerful, Shinobu challenges him to a sword duel. Ikuto constantly refuses, even though she will not stop pestering him until he accepts. Suzu is bothered by Shinobu taking Ikuto’s attention, and she snaps when she finds her lying on top of Ikuto in the bath. After being convinced by an angry Suzu, Ikuto finally agrees to Shinobu’s challenge. After getting some training from Karage, Ikuto meets Shinobu who is wearing some clothes from Chikage’s selection. The two seem to be evenly matched, until Shinobu decides to use a special move against Ikuto. Ikuto takes out all of Shinobu’s duplicate images, but he does not think he can block her final attack. When he accidentally grabs her boobs, Shinobu claims defeat. Ikuto denies that his boob grabbing was any kind of special move, but Shinobu says that it made her feel as if she could not fight anymore. Ikuto and Suzu see Shinobu off as she leaves, but they find that she is moving in very close to them the next day.
Impression:
Funny. Didn’t I mention that there should be some new characters like last week? I must be psychic. I wasn’t really that into Shinobu’s character when she was first introduced. The whole “Gozaru” thing is kind of annoying, and I didn’t really like it in Negima either. She did become somewhat interesting towards the second half of the episode though, after she was done stalking Ikuto. Call me crazy, but I actually found the nosebleed thing kind of funny this time. Suzu’s jealously is something that should be getting old too, but I wasn’t too bothered by it either. The fight was a pretty random plot device, but I think I laughed out loud after hearing “bushin no jutsu”. Wow, that brought back bad memories. It looks like there will just be more antics now that Shinobu has moved in so close to Ikuto. I hope they just aren’t throwing these characters in for shallow reasons. Mei Mei has already lost her major role after two or three episodes. Ah, what am I saying? Of course they’re doing that. Hopefully they can at least give us some decent episodes until the end.

Oh shit i like this new character. And Naruto Rocks man.lol
Suzu jealousy is getting old please oh please tell when he have seen some from her this is the first time!!!!!
I was wondering when they were going to run out of new characters to introduce…but I guess the answer is not until the end of the series ^^;
Sniper > Ehhhh I have had some bad moments with Naruto. A friend of mine convinced me to watch it saying “It gets better. It gets better” until I had watched like 150+ episodes and realized it wasn’t my kind of show at all.
cangri23 > I’m pretty sure we’ve seen it numerous times…This is probably the first time she was so open about it though.
suguru > Haha, yea. I think it’s kind of worthless to introduce them so late. Apparently there a few more that haven’t showed up either, and I doubt they’ll turn the plot around at all.
Yo Totali what your watching are just alot of fillers.lol. Check out Naruto Shippuden aka Naruto 2. Time Skip.
NarutoChronicles yeah timeskip but in a very very slow pace………….
The only thing that I can consider the best episode there was the 1st episode premiere of it.
Forgot to mention it but Suzu should do same thing as Siesta, from ZnT (ironically both of those characters is voice by the popular seiyu, Yui Horie(famous for voicing Naru Narusegawa of Love Hina) if she plans to have Ikuto for herself not wait for other girls to grab him.
Maybe they are saving it for the final episode lol.
Guys, no. I am NOT watching Naruto again!! xD
arigatou > Haha yea. Actually one of the only reasons I’m still watching this show is because Yui Horie is like my favorite seiyu. I’m watching it because it is a love comedy too, but I would have still dropped it if I lost interest (see Hayate no Gotoku). Yui Horie is voicing roles all throughout the week now (Tokyo Majin second season, Higurashi no Koro Ni Kai, Zero no Tsukaima 2, Nagasarete Airantou, ect). It would be really weird to see two of her personalities clash.
i like this new character too
ever since she was introduced in the manga. too bad i still havent read volume 10
My problem with the show: I hate Suzu so bad, and she is crammed down our throats. I think it would have been a better show without her present. Like, episodes where he reacts with other characters without her present. It brings normalcy to a situation where there should be none.
SsK > I sampled the manga before picking up this show, but I never got far. The new characters can still seem somewhat fresh to me that way, I guess. ;P
Rentington > Haha, hating the main love interest of the show will probably bring down your opinion of it a lot. I don’t find Suzu that interesting, but I don’t mind her. If she wasn’t present there would also be lack of a solid love interest, making this a typical harem series instead of a love comedy. (and there’s a difference, trust me. Watching love comedies is what I do! xD)
There’s this another girl, Michiru who seems to be village elder’s grand daughter or something. It’s sad that this episode kinda sped things up on how Ikuto met Shinobu.
Oh and about naruto, I have to agree with Totali. It’s a drag. Each show is like 10 Mins of previous episode recap, 10 mins worth of flashbacks, and you only get to see 10 mins worth of the real episode. Not to mention it has a lot of “filler” episodes.
Naruto is the slowest piece of garbage ever. Like, they take 26 episodes worth of plot/stuff happening and stretch it out to 200. They know they have a big franchise, and they can make way way more money this way.
