Zero no Tsukaima 2 – 05
“Dekai!”
Summary:
Louise is surprised when Eleanor shows up to help with the students’ training. After Eleanor explains to Louise that she is there because of Henrietta’s request, Louise discovers that Cattleya has come over to stay as well. Later, Seista finds Saito while he is handling Louise’s sisters’ underwear. Offering to help, Seista suggests that she would like to try a pair of panties on. Not wanting to lose to Louise, she almost changes in front of Saito, but Louise walks in on them. Louise prepares to punish Saito as usual, but they are distracted by a crashing sound. Finding the headmaster, Agnes, and Michelle in front of a crack in the wall, everyone is sent back to their rooms. Agnes has Saito stay, but Louise is sent to her room with everyone else. The headmaster explains that a thief had stolen the water and wind rings held in the safe, but he used a magic item to mark the culprit. Giulio explains that they had everyone else go to their rooms, because the culprit is a mage. It is also mentioned that the rings placed in the academy are actually fakes for a precaution. Giulio goes with Agnes to inspect the students, while Saito is sent out with Michelle. Being left alone, Saito goes to check on Eleanor. Although he succeeds in checking on her, Eleanor wakes up to force him out. Saito goes to check on Cattleya next, but she is waken by her dogs before he can. Louise walks in afterwards, mistaking Saito for sneaking into her sister’s room. Louise has Saito take off his clothes so that she can whip him, but they are interrupted by another crashing sound.
They gather in Cattleya’s room, where there is now a large hole in the wall. Agnes finds that she is not the culprit, so everything is explained to her and Louise. They are interrupted when Michelle reports that she has found the rings hidden in the room’s straw. This puts pressure on Cattleya, but Eleanor interrupts. Using a magic potion on a piece of hair that the culprit left behind, the hair goes back to Michelle. Agnes orders her to reveal her chest, but she cannot follow that order. At that point, Agnes reveals that the headmaster lied when he said that the rings were fakes, and that they are actually the real thing. Michelle then reveals her chest, but it is only a distraction to draw her sword. Saito blocks her attacks, as Agnes points out that she should have realized that the thieves’ events happened when Michelle wasn’t at her side. Although Saito knocks away her sword, Michelle reveals a wand and escapes through the hole leading to the outside. This isn’t enough for her to get away however, as Cattleya summons a rock giant to block her path. Agnes also shoots the wand out of her hand before she can react. When being interrogated afterwards by Agnes, Michelle denies her wrongdoing. She explains that she was always alone and did what she had to do to survive, but Agnes tells her that she was the same. When Agnes asks Michelle who she was getting her orders from, she tells her that it was from one of her father’s old friends, but she cannot tell her any more. Agnes then guesses that it is someone named Richemont. She decides this because she has investigated this person thoroughly, as the person is her enemy. Meanwhile, Louise finally starts to punish Saito for all his wrongdoings during the day.
Preview: Saito gets in a situation with Henrietta.
Impression:
I love how when this show gets back to the plot, it deals with an excuse for Saito to look at everyone’s boobs. Finding out that Michelle was the culprit wasn’t that shocking, but I don’t see how it could have been. We didn’t really get much development to that point, so it felt like it was just thrown at us. We were also given more hints to Agnes’ past after hearing about her enemy or rival. As light as it is, I am actually getting into the plot. I think that’s what I remember being so great about the first season. It’s just fun to watch, as simple as that, because there is a nice mix of humor and story. But anyways, lets put all that unimportant plot stuff to the side for now. Siesta has started stepping it up for Saito! I’ve heard that the novels have this kind of stuff all over the place, and it was hilarious that she was really planning to undress in front of him. Unfortunately, I still see Siesta as being put into a love interest that will never be answered back. Watching Louise with her sisters was still cute, but her whipping of Saito has become kind of standard. I guess this wouldn’t be Zero no Tsukaima without it. The next episode might make me a Henrietta fan because I see her wearing a ponytail in the preview…..and ponytails are moe.

It makes you wonder why he puts up with Louise, because Siesta treats him so well, and Louise treats him so poorly… unless he *likes* the abuse. Which, is starting to seem more likely. Here’s hoping he runs off in the future back to Japan.
Because Saito <3’s Louise obviously! Come on! xD
I don’t think he will end up ever going back to Japan, but who knows.
I have to mention this:
As a high-ranking member of the gunpowder squad, why didn’t Michelle simply just shoot everyone in the room? Ah, hindsight is 20/20.
Because if she did everyone would be dead, and we wouldn’t have ZnT anymore! Come on, bad guys aren’t allowed to win.
