Motteke! Siesta no Sailor Fuku

Summary:

Louise expresses her happiness to Saito when she sees the queen being praised in town. Saito brings up that he thought Henrietta was opposed to the war, when he comes across a shop selling a sailor uniform. This brings him quickly to excitement, to Louise’s confusion. After hearing about something from the headmaster, Agnes gathers the regular group to a room. She asks Louise if she knows any lock opening magic, but Saito reminds them that she can only make things explode. After this is proven, they seek help from Eleanor. She successfully opens the door below the school, but Colbert appears to warn them of the danger that lies ahead. This doesn’t stop Agnes and the rest of them to carry on, and Siesta also appears wearing the school uniform that Saito had her wear. This angers Louise as usual, and Louise accidentally makes the entrance collapse through her magic. As the group continues on, Colbert expresses his wish to experience Saito’s country. He does not like the idea of people being forced to go to war. Agnes brings up what happened to her village 20 years ago, and her ongoing search for the culprits. The group finally makes it to their destination, a library where magic cannot be used. Louise finds the book that Agnes is looking for, so Agnes quickly starts looking through it. Seista causes a mess when she drops a stack of books, and Eleanor unthinkingly uses her magic to put them back up. This causes the room to shake, so everyone rushes to the exit. Still trying to find a name in the book she is looking through, Colbert and Saito are forced to carry Agnes out. She also doesn’t have a chance to find out the name, because it has been torn out of the book. While being carried by him, Agnes realizes that the person who saved her from the burning village in the past was none other than Colbert. The group is soon reminded that their exit was blocked earlier, but Giulio makes Louise use her magic to free them.

Preview: A school invasion?

Impression:

I really don’t see where that sailor uniform came from. That merchant just seemed to conveniently have it for sell. It was pretty funny how Siesta managed to be the one wearing it rather than Louise as usual, but Siesta is kind of bothering me now. Her role in the first season was great, but now she is just being put in the most worthless situations to get between Saito and Louise. Yui Horie playing the “all over the protagonist” role doesn’t work for me very well, and seeing Louise in the school uniform would have been way more moe. Louise’s explosions are becoming kind of standard now as well. Hearing the rumor about Agnes liking girls was hilarious, and I really wouldn’t be surprised if they made it true. We found out a bit more about her background again in this episode, with Colbert turning out to be her savior. This season seems to be focusing on her more and more lately. The library/underground scenes reminded me of LOTR for some reason, with all the messages and setting. Saito and Colbert running across the collapsing bridge and making that impossible jump was so ridiculous. Oh, and Cattleya has the weirdest pets.
