Anyways, as for why everyone seems to like Makoto, I think its that everyone is doing it for themselves. Kotonoha is likes him because she is liking the idea of having a boyfriend, Sekai seems to want to fulfill a boy's desires, and Makoto is doing it all for his lil buddy if you know what I mean. As for Setsuna, I've yet to come up with a theory. :D All in all, I think everyone is doing this all for themselves, not necessarily because they like anyone else. First time commenting here.
