Zero no Tsukaima 2 - 09
I am in denial from watching Zero no Tsukaima for the plot.
Summary:
Colbert continues to warn the girls not to take any action, as he asks Saito to come with him. Inside the school, Benubiru reveals that he obtained the scar on his face from wanting to test the Flame Serpent’s strength. Before Benubiru can take action against everyone, Colbert and the others appear to release the items he and Saito prepared. Kirche makes all of these explode, causing all of Benubiru’s men to be blinded. Louise and Saito take the chance to release all of the captured girls, but they discover that Benubiru is actually already blind. He prepares to strike Kirche, but Colbert appears to save her. To everyone’s shock, Benubiru reveals that Colbert is the person that he is looking for, the Flame Serpent. The two begin fighting each other, and even Agnes starts going after Colbert in rage. Colbert pushes her out of the way as a beam of flame approaches her from Benubiru, and as Agnes watches him get back up from the blow, she sees the scar on his back that she recognized from long ago. Benubiru prepares to send another attack to finish off Colbert, but Agnes stabs him through the stomach before he can. Agnes goes for Colbert next, but the students try to convince her not to. Colbert explains his realization from burning down Agnes’ village, and the effects of war. He gives Agnes permission to kill him, but makes her promise not to kill anyone else afterwards. Agnes is unable to strike him, and her sword only hits the ground in front of him. Later, Saito receives a letter from Colbert with his wish to see Saito’s world and a reminder to not go to war. Louise asks if Agnes still cannot forgive Colbert as she leaves, but she replies that there is no way she could know the answer to that. Saito and Louise both start to cry, as they hold on to each other in tears.
Preview: Louise in the snow. Uguu~
Impression:
Holy crap, this episode was amazing. I have to take back what I said last week, because I loved every moment of this episode. The fight scenes were epic, with the animation being top notch to make up for the previous episode. I was proven wrong in my assumption that Colbert was not going to be the culprit, and the truth came off really powerful. Of course, there was the common message given that he made a mistake by just following orders, and that’s where his wish to avoid war had come from. This is the reason I watch anime! All of Agnes’ actions were predictable, but that did not lower my enjoyment of the scenes at all. It was also nice to see Tabitha and Kirche in action, and the last scene with Saito and Louise was satisfying. I still can’t get over the fact that Saito has that plane now, and I wonder how Louise suddenly got all her magic to work correctly? Next week’s episode looks like a much lighter one, with Saito and Louise heading to a snowy area for some love love action.

This was good episode. By the way dude you were so slow that they already realse the sub. It looks like college is brining you down. Everyone already blog this a long time ago
Looks like somethings going to happen. Lets hope no one else dies.
Has watching Zero no Tsukaima for the plot left you in despair?
Louise looks so cute in the preview. I don’t really like Kirche (I like her better than Siesta) but I was really happy she got screentime. Same with Tabitha.
Sniper > Eh, I don’t care. I write summaries for my own satisfaction for the most part, and it’s not my intention to compete with anyone. Impressions can come whenever too, and most people don’t watch until the sub has appeared anyways. College has slowed down my anime watching considerably though. :S
shh227 > Yea…that’s one down…
Fang-tan > HUH? Who watches ZnT for the plot? NOT ME!! *looks away* Tabitha and Kirche are great! :3
Novel explaination: Louise starting to got a hold on the basic magics as she continue to attach to her correct element - the Void.
I’m guessing the War will start in Season 3 right after/ soon after this season ends. Or they will be rushing to the final part of it all of a sudden in this Season.
It was predictable outcome (for Colbert as the culprit and then died) , but this is such a great episode as how they present it. Hopefully, the rest of the series will be as good as this one.
Julio > Ok, I think that explanation is acceptable enough :P. Wow, I keep forgetting that this is only going to be a 12 episode series. It seems like we’ve just gotten started, but the end is just around the corner! Hopefully the ending will be satisfying. If we do get a third season, it will be hard to say when we will be able to see it.
kenshin514 > Very predictable, even though I did not want to believe it at first (see last week’s entry)…this ep was soooo good. ;P
I can’t believe that Colbert tried to Dumbledore Agnes into going all Rurouni Kenshin. Good thing she didn’t fall for it, so she can keep stabbing everyone. This plot is even more of a joke than last season’s, and I can’t wait to see what silly reason is given for the torching of Agnes’ hometown.
Unless they plan on revealing more, the explanation they gave was that Colbert’s team was looking for epidemics. One of the guys says that they made a mistake with Agnes’ village, which is why he goes and saves her.
Cheap plot device? I think so! ^.
But I’m sure there was a “real” reason, like the codpiece of ultimate power is there or something.
