after reading so many theories on what happened in the series, I still think that your blogs were the most insightful. Still, the questions left unanswered were a bit like a cliffhanger to me. Like Touka’s gender changes? and what really happened in the end with Touka and Momoka meeting again. *sigh* I guess we’ll just have to guess about that stuff

Finally saw this today. And then watched the first episode.

Well I think the ending (by that I mean the beginning) was cool in that it showed that everything was sort of begun by Yumiko and Kikyou.

If you watch the first episode (again) you’ll notice alot of parallels to this one (Including: Haruhiko walking through the two lines of maids, Touka in the kimono, and the doll Kikyou picks up).

Overall the series was interesting. I find myself alittle confused over what I liked in the series, despite the fact that I like the series nonetheless.

Overall now. I like how the series ended (reffering to the ACTUAL ENDING)

I definitely call this show the gem of the season back when it first started airing. I wish I could watch this backwards like I planned, but I don’t think I’ll have time to any time soon, haha.

Wow. Everything I love has ended. I’m going to watch this series backwards when I get the chance because I just want it to wow me again. But I truly, truly agree with you: people need to get over the controversial subjects of this show. I think those parts actally made this show better. It’ll just be a gem waiting to be found by others now. I like it that way.

Of course I’ve seen it! I’m not a huge fan of Japanese live action, but I have watched a few. Besides the movies, Death Note 1-2, Mushishi, Nana 1-2, Battle Royal, Densha Otoko, and Honey and Clover, I’ve watched the JDramas Densha Otoko, Hana Yori Dango 1-2, Proposal Daisakusen, and a bit of 1 litre of tears. If you want to find out about anything I’ve watched, you can always just check out my AnimeSeen. Honestly, I like to let Hinano handle JDramas, as she’s the right person for the job. With my writing style, I just can’t put the time into blogging an hour long thing on a regular basis. Besides, even if the next season is thin, I need to lay off for Uni anyways.

Have you seen the TV drama of Densha Otoko? I’m sure you have. It’s great, but they made him WAY too nerdy. Like, after the first six times he cried talking to her, most women, especially one of her caliber, might have cut the chord.

I don’t know how big of a fan you are of Japanese live action, but seeing how this anime season looks to be a little thin, you should consider blogging one.

Sniper > Ok, I’m coming out after all this time. I actually watched Moonlight Lady. Yea, come on. It was for research….really! There are actually a lot of similarities between the two series, for example the pool of life or whatever from this episode. There was also a small girl in ML. Remember though, Touka Gettan is only a spin off of Moonlight Lady, not a sequel. Really, it could be considered a whole new show very easily. Also, the the ova and the show are quite different for um…obvious reasons. Yea, I’m not watching Moonlight Lady again….Anyways, I’m actually completing a lot of shows this week! My slate is being wiped clean for the next season ^.

hashihime > Thank you for helping to spread the joy of Touka Gettan on your own blog, especially in its beginning stages. In fact, I left out my thoughts on the upcoming seiyu out of the final impression because I thought you covered it much better already on your own blog. I agree with you on the ‘everything has been answered, but it hasn’t’. That’s just how this show is from start to finish, and I love it.

Rentington > I always love it when someone brings a different opinion to the table. It just proves that this show isn’t for everyone. I have been trying to imagine what it would be like to watch this show in the chronological order, and I just don’t think it would have been as powerful. The reverse order was not the only thing Touka Gettan did that was unique, it was just the thing that stood out the most. I guess the minority of us loved this, while it turned off the majority. That’s why I think this show will end up to be more of a ‘cult favorite’ rather than a mainstream hit, but hey, that’s what happened with Carnelian’s Yamibou right? By the way, I saw Densha again yesterday. I almost asked for his autograph LOL.
