I actually enjoyed watching Nagasarete.Im kind of tired of those harem- hysteric "love" comedy where the main guy is always a plain and stupid loser.Ikuto acts like a real man for a change.
And since I really like romantic comedies it was a real relief to see that even though originality is not a trademark of anime nowadays, you can find recycled elements that makes a series worth of watching anyways. They took those stupid nonsense elmements that sometimes can make you grow tired of a romantic "comedy"(hello,Seto No Hanayome!)and replaced them with a slight touch of drama-romance.
Nagasarete Airantou was a great series, funny and even touching.

I'm going to be completely honest and say that I can't remember either. I was thinking that it was the robot girl, but that's probably incorrect.

Avisch > I actually didn't get extremely far in the manga, but from what I've seen it does have a lot of the same elements. A lot of the fanservice that is in the manga is taken out in the anime though. I have no idea if the anime ending is the same as the manga's.

Rentington > LOL I actually have no problem with the obvious love interests, because I think that's what separates love comedies from harem series a lot of times. I see what you're saying though.

I was excited for this one, too. They made us think it was a romantic comedy, or even a harem comedy, but in reality, it was a cheesey slice of life show, disguised as such. Like, "_______ needs help doing her job! Will Ikuto help?" Everyone went platonic after the first two episodes. Plus, I don't like Suzu... she is the "overly positive female" character that drives me insane. This also made Umisho a little harder for me to like, as Amuro is the same as Suzu. I found characters such as Ayane and Maaya more interesting than those two girls, respectively. They show a little more character, I guess. Why is it so often that the most neutral female character ends up being the main romantic lead in these shows? You can always pick out who the male lead will end up with by the first episode. "Hey, that girl has the personality of a shoe. The winnar is you!" See: Ai Yori Aoshi. These shows are more predictable than they could be. I guess this is why I liked ZnT(1 plz) so much. It was the opposite of the standard formula.

I haven't been following this series....at all.
But a question. Does this ending resemble any part of the manga so far?
