School Days - 12 (Final)
NICE BOAT. My final impression is included.
Summary:
Finding that it is cold outside, Kotonoha takes Makoto’s hands to her breasts for warmth. They stop by a restaurant, but Makoto is forced to talk on the phone with Sekai outside. She becomes angry because he will not go home to eat the food she cooked, but Makoto replies by telling her that Kotonoha would not act that way. He expresses his wish that she did not have the baby, before hanging up. Sekai sets out after making a mess in Makoto’s apartment, and witnesses him with Kotonoha on the train. Makoto returns home with Kotonoha, and he begins cleaning up the mess Sekai left. When he returns to the living room, he finds Sekai slapping Kotonoha in the face. Sekai tells Kotonoha to get out, but Kotonoha implies that Sekai is at a fault. She also reveals to her the situation with Setsuna. After bringing up Sekai’s original wishes for her, Kotonoha kisses Makoto.
While walking home, Sekai remembers her times with Setsuna. However, she is reminded of her guilt for making such actions towards Makoto. The next day, Sekai does not attend school. Makoto explains to Kotonoha that she is at the hospital. Later that night, Makoto meets with Sekai in his home. She offers to make tea before saying anything, but she calls Makoto’s cell phone while in the kitchen. When Makoto checks his phone in his room, he reads the one word “Sayonara” at the end of the text message. When he turns around, he faces many stabs from Sekai. When Sekai realizes what she has just done, she runs out of the house in panic. Kotonoha eventually discovers Makoto’s body, and she arranges to meet with Sekai on the school roof.
There, Kotonoha asks Sekai if she went to the hospital. When Sekai replies that she didn’t, Kotonoha implies that her baby was a lie. Kotonoha tells Sekai that she was Makoto’s girlfriend, and suggests that Sekai ask for herself. Sekai opens the bag that Kotonoha has brought with her, to find his remains inside. Unsheathing her saw, Kotonoha swiftly murders Sekai. Afterwards, she confirms that Sekai’s baby was a lie by looking inside of her. Kotonoha later enjoys a vacation while embracing Makoto’s severed head, on a very nice boat in the sunset.
Impression:
Yes!! Kotonoha goes insane and douche bag(11) dies!!! All is well in the world. Thank you School Days, for giving me the ending that I wanted since episode one(sorry Sekai fans). Oh man, this was a good episode. Kotonoha was so hot! Sekai’s phone call to Makoto before the killing was pretty awesome, but it wasn’t as good as Kotonoha’s head in a bag. I told you that was samurai music! It came back in this episode, and it was hilarious. I think Kotonoha’s quote while checking for Sekai’s baby should be put on a plaque or something. Oh, and Kotonoha has a really nice boat. What was up with the happy happy music after the ending? That was great! My final impression is up next!
I’ll probably get flamed for this, but I cannot say that School Days was actually a good anime. From the start, I watched it because of the high expectations the community set for it. Although I was accepting of the introduction, I soon couldn’t take this anime seriously at all. While everyone else was busy discussing the great drama, I was too busy laughing out of my mind at the episodes. It’s hard to describe what this show is suppose to be. It was one of the funniest shows of the season when it wasn’t suppose to be, and it was one of the dumbest dramas I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe how everyone was trying to take the show seriously. Who is everyone? Just take a look around an aggregator. There was a lot of coverage.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed watching School Days…just for the wrong reasons. There’s a difference between enjoying an anime and thinking that the anime is good. I’m sure you understand. I had a blast writing about this show, and I got an extremely large amount of entertainment value out of it. Almost everyone had a different opinion about this show, and it was really fun to take part in that. Just about every possible outcome was shown, with a bit of chaos. In the end, the School Days team was trying to sell an anime to their fans, and they succeeded. However, I can honestly say that if I looked back on this anime in the future, I would say that it was mediocre. With that, my douche bag(12!) campaign finally comes to an end. Ah~ that was a nice boat.

Agreed. For once they didn’t try to overemphasize her massive chest (save that one scene) and she looked much better because of it, yandere ftw.
As for the series in general, it’s true the drama was generic and lame for the most part. While it didn’t make me laugh, there were a lot of moments that left me with nothing to say but “WTF”. The ending saved the anime from being mediocre, the series was a huge lead up to the final episode, and will forever remain legendary in my mind.

That’s all I can say. The ending was way more gruesome than what I expected. Kotonoha slicing Sekai up to look at the unborn baby? What the hell? Then taking a vacation with Makoto’s rotting head?
No wonder they want to censor this. @_O
That really was a freaking nice boat as shown in that last picture. The nice boat sailing down through the beautiful vast ocean in the beautiful sunset.
I didn’t really follow this series, I just got curious why the final episode got re-scheduled in terms of gruesome scale. I got my answer. Lol. I was merely reading the summary and I was already grossed out with how Makoto and Sekai ended up dead with poor Kotonoha totally losing her sanity. I’m not saying he deserved to die that way, but with regard to Makoto, that jerk had it coming.
I agree with Mintie. No wonder they censored this and preferred to air that documentary thing.
This should be called WTF episode. The suspended music was really creepy. To me, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni couldn’t even top this episode of creepiness. When Makoto died, I thought I supposed to be happy, but I wasn’t (and I don’t know why).
Also, the fact that they combined all the endings into one was kinda weird. I have to agree with Totali that the producers really want to sell this anime to their fans. Many people may like it, but I wasn’t. Sorry. Oh well, It’s done. It’s time for new anime for next season.
Totali: Good thing that you still remember to call Makoto as douche-bag twice in this episode. Ah~what a nice boat.
Just an awesome episode, because it was the perfect cap to what this series was all about. I think they did a superb job with the gattai ending.
About Sekai’s baby: while I was starting to think that she was making it all up, I don’t know that you can say Kotonoha’s autopsy was conclusive.
This was so damn amazing. We finally see some Kotonoha action. I like how they use the black blood. You what will be nice if they make an extra episode showing all the different endings
I nearly wept tears of joy, because a dream of mine had finally been achieved. When it was announced that School Days would have an anime adaptation, my heart skipped a beat.
Here at last, I had a chance to watch a “Harem Anime” that has psycho-moe to the extreme. Oh… bits and pieces do pop out from time to time, and we do get memorable moments like Shuffle!’s Kaede’s boxcutter and Gift~Eternal Rainbow~’s Nightmare-Kirino, but psycho-moe is all too often relegated to being a secondary plot, and not the primary focus of the show.
I still remember being dismissed by folks on the forums for being too morbid, and that the studio would never pander to the masses, that it would never fly by the censors, that the chances of a “happy” ending was higher, etc…
Oh~ sweet, SWEET vindication. My vials of “I Told You So” has never been so overwhelmingly full before.
So, so tempting to dance on the posts of the people who are bitching about the ending. 
Psycho-moe fans are far and few between, and so it is with great satisfaction that our demographic has been catered to at long last.

I totally didn’t get the end part until someone pointed it out. So I guess Katsura cuddling Makoto’s head sort of makes NICE BOAT as awesome as crazy harem girls. Because I just didn’t get that until after. I can be so slow~ XD

Shows like Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora made me laugh hard everytime. I felt the show was quite poorly done overall but ended up enjoying it for different reasons. No disrespect or animosity towards the show at all though. Someone I know had a similar experience with with Lovedoll, and that didnt offend me either (actually it kinda made me chuckle too when I thought of his review as I continued to watch the series)
Personally, I liked the show and it did justice to the game which I also happened to have enjoyed. The only thing that really bugged me was those “eye-creases” that sat between their eyeballs and eyebrows (hope you know what I mean)

I agreed that Makoto’s dead is paid off…phew I knew this guy will be a dork since he said “Dating Kotonoha is tiring me” That is when i think “here it come. Sekai’s time” and then i stop watching it what a loser he is. Then the Anime’s name appear in front of me and i got curious and open the last ep up…damn people who say it’s bloody..It is bloody!! Oy!! BLOODY HELL!! Sekai killed Makoto was not so creepy as when Kotonoha sent the msg to Sekai is CREEPY and the phrase after she killed sekai “As I suspected, there’s no one inside” TOTALLY CREEPS ME OUT! she’s hot but creepy…
This anime was best in twisted at the half of the show..or so.. Nevertheless, it taught a lesson here though it’s a harem genre, doesn’t mean u can two timing and go do whatever u want… so, never two timing… u might ended up like makoto there.. *sigh*
If sekai would let go and if makoto be less idiot then it would not be this way but heck i like the ending. It’s perfect wrapping up all the consequences of Makoto’s actions and sekai. Poor Kotonoha, she’s definitely cute and to be in fact a victim in this story , it was pure at first but losing sanity was kind of a big surprise, not recommend for the faint hearted fellows…
So..yeah nice boat and…the head thing is creepy and still haunted me…poor kotonoha…it should be romantic and love story and a bit of drama…now it ended up to be HORROR and somewhat Scary Love triangle…phew good thing it ended…and good ending with no more…so who’s with who and WTF why are they together…It settled..DEATH!!! still poor kotonoha..*sigh*

i thought that id be use to that kinda stuff from higurashi no naku koro ni but it was seriously freeky i left the series at ep 2 cos i was curious why every1 was sayin about rh last ep and watched that and after that i lost all interest but the ending was seriously freeky i mean i hope this stuff dont start happening but he did deserve something for sleeping round but dieing wasnt really it id say a year in a gay jail lol lets see if he wants sex then
