Night Wizard – 01
OP: “KURENAI” by Ui Miyazaki – The OP isn’t bad, but not anything really new either. The animation seems to be taken out of scenes from the first episode.
Summary:
Hiiragi Renji is summoned to Anzelotte’s chamber, and is soon sent to an area where he must fight monsters. There is also a red haired girl there, who has already begun firing at enemies with her large gun. These are Night Wizards, the only ones who can fight against these creatures. A girl named Shiho Elis speaks with her grandfather who is not actually home, before heading off to school. After being introduced to the class, she is quickly offered positions in various clubs. A girl in a miko outfit quickly asks if Elis likes stars, before saving her from the chaos. Inside her room, the girl introduces herself as Akabane Kureha. Renji almost makes it to school, but he is summoned by Anzelotte to fight again. Kureha imagines that she hears his voice as he is taken away, so she tells Elis that Renji is her troublesome childhood friend. After learning of her situation, Kureha shows Elis the shrine on top of the school roof. She also tells her of the legendary tree on the school grounds.
A girl named Zephyr Bell realizes something about Elis that night, before the moon changes red. Elis reacts to this, as she begins walking out of her home. Kureha notices this, as she follows Elis all the way to the tree at school. There, something has generated in Elis’ hands. The supposedly dead tree comes to life, as sakura petals flow throughout the area. A monster also appears, so Kureha quickly prepares for battle. She is unable to hold it down, as the monster lunges towards the two. Renji falls from the sky just in time to save them, as he subdues the beast. Renji and Kureha work together to fight the monster, and they discover Elis’ powers when the monster is unable to break through her generated shield. With this, Renji finishes off the creature. As the sakura petals fade away, Renji tells Elis that they are Night Wizards. Elis is introduced to Anzelotte sometime later, already being forced to work for her.
ED: “Erinyes (エリニュエス)” by BETTA FLASH – The ED is pretty nice on the ears. The animation is moving still frames, but done in a nice way at times.
Preview: Elis begins working for Anzelotte, and moves in with Renji.
Impression:
Hey, this was pretty cool! Coming from JC Staff and Xebec, the animation was actually very good. The fight scenes were nice, if not very video game. There was even the crazy sound after defeating an enemy. Remember, this is adapted from a Playstation game. The characters are all kinda quirky, but likable. There was much more humor in this show than I was expecting there to be, which is good since I like funnies. I like how Anzelotte gives Renji the options to say “hai” or “yes” to her requests, which basically means he cannot say no. It’s also funny that Renji actually wants to go to school. What was up with the lunch box in the middle of the fight!? That was awesome. So, my initial impression for this show is decent, but I still won’t be blogging it. Aroduc seems to have taken an interest though, and he’s the perfect man for the job.

Nice op…
Where can i find KURENAI lyrics?
This was surprisingly a lot better than I thought it’d be, especially since it doesn’t treat game elements as serious business.
what anime is this from?
