Clannad – 02

Kyou is bi!!!

Summary:

Nagisa explains to Tomoya that the lines she have just said were part of her practicing drama. In the empty world, the young boy explains that it is a place where nothing is born and nothing dies. The girl had created a body out of junk for him. Tomoya collides with Kyou on her bike in the morning, as she is in a hurry. Youhei meets up with Tomoya soon after, challenging Tomoyo once again once they reach school. This ends again with Youhei’s humiliating defeat, but Tomoyo expresses the nostalgic feelings she has with being around the two boys. Tomoya is told of a ghost girl by some of the students later, and he enters the library to find a quiet girl around a pile of books. Tomoya shares some of her food before leaving, and finds out from Ryou that the girl’s name is Ichinose Kotomi. She is known as a genius girl. Kyou meets with Tomoya about her bike because of what happened earlier, but Tomoya uses this to cause a misunderstanding within the class. Tomoya meets with Nagisa outside, and he enters the club room to help her revive the drama club. When Tomoya suggests that Nagisa do what she wants, she creates a poster of the Dango Daikazoku.

Tomoya walks in on a girl cutting herself with a razor while carving something. Tomoya takes the razor from this girl, Ibuki Fuuko, and convinces her that it is dangerous. Youhei meets with Tomoya as he is looking at the drama club poster, expressing his surprise that he would help to do something like that. Tomoya clenches his fist as Youhei walks off, and Nagisa soon appears to wonder if Tomoya hates clubs. Tomoya works on a project for Nagisa when he reaches home, but he storms out in anger when his father requests to help. Tomoya meets with Nagisa soon afterwards, as she expresses her happiness after what he has done for her. Tomoya explains that he had once joined the basketball team, but quit soon afterwards. With this, Nagisa suggests that they play the next time they meet. Tomoya makes his way to the basketball court later, shocked to find Nagisa there while it is raining. Nagisa asks for Tomoya to show her his shot, but he finally reveals that his right hand was injured in a fight with his father. Nagisa faints because of this, as Tomoya catches her in the drenching rain.

Preview: Tomoya continues to help Nagisa with the club.

Impression:

Yea, so I realized that I had nothing to do today. I guess I will be blogging this show. I hope you’re happy! Anyways, hey, this episode was great! I instantly noticed Nonoka Ai and Noto Mamiko’s voices, even with just a sigh. Mamiko was my favorite seiyu for the longest time, but she just hasn’t been coming off on me well lately. I honestly didn’t think she fit the role this time, but it might just take some getting used to. Nonoka Ai, on the other hand, was awesome. She’s been playing so many great roles lately. Fuuko reminded me of a cross between Ayu and Shiori, so that made her scene pretty hilarious for me. Take away that box cutter! I’m liking Nagisa more and more, and her singing the Dango Daikazoku song had me smiling with glee. Man, a certain pink pig popped into my head when she said “tonkatsu”. Did anyone else find Tomoya’s angst and Nagisa’s fainting extremely over dramatic? He had an umbrella! Why didn’t he use it? Haha…Well I’ll say that now, but I’ll probably be shedding tears later. Tomoya continues to help Nagisa create the SOS Brigade next week, so that should be lots of fun.

Though we got to see the two other heroine characters. They hardly got development but got some great cute moments nonetheless.

YEAH TOMOYO 528 HIT AIR TIME! And yeah Kyou is bi.

Next episode seems to focus more on Nagisa. I guess I’m alittle more excited for developement for the other heroines. But I really seem to be enjoying this series so far so I don’t think more of Nagisa will bore me.

What kills me about this show is that they have so many random scenes that don’t seem to matter at all. It’s like…”hey, let’s have a random intro to this genius girl”, then they switch back to Nagisa. Well, I guess they have to get all the characters introduced somehow.

lol….her sister looked so ashamed. xD

Totali: Thank you for blogging this. Hopefully, you don’t have anything to do every Friday, so you can end up blogging the entire series.

Yeah, I agree that they just move from one scene to the next randomly in this episode. Then again, they are kinda do the same thing in Kanon, too. In Kanon, they tried to introduce each of heroine little by little until they strat to focus on each of heroine’s stroy-line (episodes 6, 11, 16, and 19 respectively, I think). So I think they may do the same thing in CLANNAD, too. Then again, I never play the game, so I might be wrong.

kenshin514 > Mmmm you’re very welcome~ I do take my viewers suggestions, especially when it comes to something that I was half and half on. I do plan on blogging Clannad from here on out….with love!

I think Tomoya should end up with Kyou. It was very funny that Kyou is bi. I think this ghost thing is that small girl and she gives out that robot doll (3rd pic)

rofl if she really was bi, there would be a very strange twist of fate in Clannad. As far as the ghost girl goes, I thought they were talking about Kotomi. The little girl who made the robot is someone in Tomoya’s(?) dream.

It’s getting quite dramatic, but I’m glad that there’s still humor in it here and there. I’m loving Okazaki, although I think he can be too curious and a wee bit nosy sometimes. Haha. I still don’t know what the relevance of the girl with robots is but I guess I’ll learn about that sooner or later. Oh, and dango is stuck in my head. XD

    Dango… dango…
