So if he ends up with Miyako I'll be totally happy. He probably will so I won't worry. His style still seems to be taking its place, but the overall flow of directing is quite different. I've watched just about all Shaft has done xP...... The style is so idiosyncratically similar to that of "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei," which Shinbo directed; it's even got many of the same kinds of shots of eyes, color choices, and the like. Or is that a style SHAFT has come to adopt as a studio as a whole? (Shaft's done mediocre work as well as strikingly original shows like the two I just mentioned.) When you see those names, I think they show better where the excellences of the show come from than just saying "Shaft." Anyway, sorry, this is just one of my hobby-horses.
