Kimikiss pure rouge - 06
Let’s carry papers together! Iiyaaaa~ hazukashiiiiii~~~!
Summary:
Nana is surprised to find her brother up early and leaving for school. When Kazuki reaches the school grounds, he finally apologizes to Asuka who is practicing soccer. A test is brought up in Mao’s class, but she puts her worries off when Eiji asks what is wrong. Mao requests to accompany Eiji to his workplace again despite the test, and Eiji agrees to let her after she suggests that she will be fine with her studies. At the lunch break, Kouichi asks Asuka if she has seen Kazuki around. Finding that even she doesn’t know, he decides to go ahead and eat. Looking to the side of the room, he sees Yumi enjoying herself with her friends. Eriko examines Kouichi in a room alone with him, but she decides that he is a failure. Discontinuing the experiment, also because of the upcoming tests, Eriko pours a drink for Kazuki. Kazuki quickly spits it out, finding out from her that it is coffee. Kouichi has trouble with his script writing in the library with Yumi, so she gives him some advice.
Kazuki approaches Asuka about practice after school, but seemingly exhausted, she tells him that she will not be doing it today. When Kouichi arrives home, he is surprised to find that Mao hasn’t come back yet. She is, of course, at Eiji’s workplace. After Mao shares some small talk about music with Eiji, he reaffirms that he does not plan on going to a university. When Eiji asks what Mao plans to do, she can only wonder. While Kouichi is having trouble with his homework, Mao finally arrives home. After guessing where she has been, Kouichi requests Mao’s help on his work. However, as she opens the door to her room, she only states that she is not the same person she was in junior high. Even though she was very studious in the past, Mao explains the troubles she had with a certain test. Even though she studied a lot, a flu prevented her from doing well. In the present, she has not even studied for her upcoming test. With this, Mao suggests that she can only offer Kouichi help with love.
While Kouichi is discussing Mao’s situation with Kazuki the next day at school, Asuka approaches the two with request for help on her studies. They are unable to help her, but finding that she may have to quit soccer because of the upcoming test, Kazuki comes up with another solution. Kouichi meets Mao at her classroom, suggesting that Kazuki needs help with love. Even without finding out who the girl is, Mao eagerly agrees to help. Kouichi meets Yumi in the stairwell, so he helps her with the papers she is carrying. Kouichi invites Yumi to a study session they will be having during the break. She readily agrees, but this also attracts Akira who has overheard the conversation. Mao is let down when she finds that she has been dragged into a study session, but she starts to help Asuka none the less. As the session goes on, even Yumi gives her input for Asuka. Kazuki sees Eriko in the library, so he bravely asks her if she would study with the rest of the group. Eriko declines, only suggesting that Kazuki cannot learn on his own. This causes Asuka to stand up to Eriko, as she expresses that they are not the same kind of person that she is.
As Kazuki runs out after the leaving Eriko, Kouichi reveals to Mao how smart Eriko really is. Kazuki apologizes to Eriko when he catches up to her in the stairwell, but she only wonders what for. After separating from the group on the way home, Yumi expresses how great of a person Mao is to Kouichi. Kouichi describes the time he spent with Mao and Kazuki in the past, and finally reveals that Mao is living in his house. Kouichi suggests that Mao really feels like a sister to him when Yumi expresses her surprise, making him wonder if he and Mao really looked like something else to others. When Mao tells Eiji about what she did that day at his workplace, he suggests that it would have been nicer if she studied with him. This surprises Mao, as she thought that Eiji hated studying. Mao finds that she has made the top ten in scores later at school, as Asuka happily thanks her. Kazuki finds that Eriko has made it at the top as expected, and Kouchi runs to Yumi when he sees her. Mao smiles at Kouichi, but puts on a disappointing face soon after.
Preview: Akira plots a plotting plot.
Impression:
So I don’t know who is dumber, Yuuji from SnS, or Kazuki. The coffee scene was so obvious, and it’s clear that Kazuki isn’t even close to being on Eriko’s level. He’s like a kid chasing after a dream or something. I’m still loving Eriko’s character as much as ever, especially when she essentially insulted the rest of the group’s intelligence in the library. I think my character attachment towards this individualistic character is coming from my relation to her as usual. Yesterday I completed a digital media project that isn’t due until the end of the semester, all while the rest of my class can’t even make the current deadlines. Ok, enough bragging. I think that will just make people hate me like Eriko. I still think that Kazuki will more likely end up with Asuka, who was definitely struggling with her feelings in this episode. Kazuki just has to stop being a moron.
My favorite couple, Mao and Eiji, isn’t doing that hot right now either though. Mao is surprisingly having trouble understanding Eiji, even though she claims to know how to help others with love. Uh oh, I just found the inner conflict she has. She will probably suffer a couple of bumps with her relationship with Eiji, despite her personal gain. It was really funny to see more of Mao’s studious past, and it gave me Love Hina vibes all over the place. The eager face she showed when Kouichi tricked her was lovely. Speaking of Kouichi, the cat is pretty much out of the bag with his relationship with Yumi. Everyone already knows what’s up. He and Yumi just need to get rid of that annoying hesitation that they keep having. Hey, they’ll get there. On sort of a side note, Kouichi referring himself as the “cute little brother” was hilarious. Also, I use the kind of imaging Yumi suggested during the study session on a regular basis. Kimikiss is teaching study habits! Pay attention kids!

I love Eriko’s personality and she will probably get the most development out of the series, but man, scocer chicks are just hot, right? :3
Eh, I’ve always been half and half on the sporty chicks. Eriko all the way for me! xD
“My favorite couple, Mao and Eiji” by Totali
Bah your couple consists of a guy who cant put together words that more than 4 syllables long and a Mao(i just don´t like her!)
While my favorite couples relationship has developed into full out in the open fondling! Froggy love!
Anyway this show is just hilarious. Kazuki looks like Ashton Cutcher when he was in “Dude, Wheres My Car!?” Chasing after Demi Moore, while he himself can´t even drink coffee!!! The sad part about this is, Ashton actually got Demi.
All in all this is just a depressing show where none of the guys have any testiclights and the girls go GYAAAAH when they accidentally touch hands.
( :
Yuumi-chan kawai yo Yuumi-chan~
Dularc > LOL ….dude, forget those frogs! Everyone knows that already established relationships are no fun to watch! Omg….Ashton and Demi…..I haven’t even been keeping up with all the celebrity stuff that has been going on in the few years, but I remember how ridiculous that stuff was.
aurabolt > I now know auraberry’s favorite Kimikiss gurl. @_@
aww… I’m sure you’re not as cold as Eriko Totali :3
Actually, I’d have to admit I do act like her myself at times… way back in college xD
and Yuumi’s study techniques is something I find really useful in learning Nihongo :p
Kazuki is indeed really stupid… he admitted it himself! (though not in the same context XD)
I was only making the point that, in the anime kingdom, people like Kazuki actually do seem to be able to impress the cute tsundere/insecure genius-SEXBOMBS. With little effort at that, they just magically get everything that they want(i wonder if this is why so many otakus love this show). And just to save face, i really don´t know anything about celebrities eighter.
[...] Totali, I enjoyed seeing Kouchi refer to himself as the “cute little brother”. That was priceless. [...]
usagijen > I’m not cold at all! Just individualistic! :3 Also, you’re already out of college?? Woah, I never really think about bloggers’ age, but it always surprises me to find where people actually are in life.
Dularc > Hahaha, so true. I don’t pay attention to the celebrity crap that goes on around here either…but word gets around by being part of the culture, obviously.
I wonder whose false was it between Mao and Eiji? Was it because Mao being little unconsiderated to Eiji about mid-term study or was it because Eiji being too quite and expected Mao to understand his feeling? Oh well.
Now I understand why you like Eriko, Totali? She seems pretty atractive in this episode.
My only question is that why Mitsuki doesn’t appear at all. I believe her screen time probably less than a minute for the past 6 episodes.lol My guess is that when film’s club start to do the movie. They probably need more people and she may end up helping them out and hopefully the love-romance may start as well (It’s just a hunch. I don’t think it will happen). It’s just bother me that why they didn’t put her in the story-line at all since she is one of the main support character.
Wow, Mitsuki….I totally forgot about her! That’s a good point…..she will probably start shattering the steady build up that is going on at the moment….or at least cause it to ripple.
