Kimikiss pure rouge – 07
Supa oujo-sama?
Summary:
On a rainy day at school, Kouichi finally reveals his script’s progress to a few of his peers. Though incomplete, it is a love story that hopes to have a happy end. Akira appreciates the simpleness of the story, and even Mao thinks Kouichi has done a great job. When Kouichi reveals that Yumi had helped him, Mao smiles at his progress. Before the group can move on, one of the school’s teachers forces them out. The group meets with Nana and Narumi outside, who suggest that they continue their activities in a shop. The group meet’s Narumi’s grandfather at his business, and they end up being treated to wonderful food. When Narumi mentions that she wants to help in his shop in the future, her grandfather secretly lets off a smile. Seeing that Narumi is thinking of her future, Mao mentions Kouichi’s old wish to be a novelist. Yumi expresses her interest, as Mao and Kouichi bring up an embarrassing moment of Kouichi’s past. Elsewhere, Eiji thinks of Mao before returning to work. Continuing where they left off earlier, Akira brings up the need for actors in their film. As none of the girls there volunteer, it is decided that the heroine must be scouted out.
At school the next day, the group is expectedly unsuccessful at finding a participant. Mao explains what she is doing to Eiji when they meet, but he does not have any suggestions either. Eiji changes the subject by asking if Mao will be visiting him at his workplace that day, and Mao confirms that this was her intention. In other places, Eriko tests Kazuki by holding hands with him. Kazuki notices how small her hand is, before panicking at his own thoughts. Kazuki hesitantly agrees to Eriko’s coffee afterwards, when she starts preparing a ridiculous meal. When Kazuki asks if anyone else has found this weird, Eriko denies. Kazuki realizes that this is because Eriko is always eating alone, but he is happy to find other qualities about her none the less. Kazuki then proposes an experiment to Eriko, where he would take her to try food. She surprisingly agrees, making Kazuki believe that they have just scheduled a date.
Akira hears a beautiful sound while walking in the hallway, and he looks into a room to see that it is coming from a girl’s piano playing. When Kouichi finds that Yumi does not have club activities, he suggests that they walk home together. He then notices Mao walking with Eiji outside, and receives a message from Akira shortly afterwards. When the regular group meets in the Satonaka shop later, Akira reveals the heroine that he has found. The girl introduces herself as Shijo Mitsuki, and the group sees that she is very elegant person. Mitsuki expresses her happiness to help, as she does not usually have time for regular club activities, but the group can only express their amazement towards her abilities. Mao receives a message at Eiji’s workplace, but she puts it off as nothing when Eiji asks about it.
Meanwhile, the movie group becomes quickly disappointed. As Mitsuki has a fiance, she cannot be the heroine. To make things even more shocking, Akira has already added the essential kiss scene into his plans. Mitsuki apologizes, but the group still appreciates her willingness to help in other areas. Everyone’s mood also lightens when Narumi’s grandfather treats them to udon again. The news gets to Mao as well, before she leaves the bar with Eiji. Mao wonders if she is a bother to Eiji outside, but he does not believe that at all. In fact, he wishes she would stop by every day. Eiji takes the chance to kiss Mao, but she pushes him away before apologizing and running away.
Preview: What happens between Eiji and Mao, and more Eriko~!

YEA KIMIKISS!! Wait…..WHAT THE HECK!!! Not even kidding, those were exact words when I saw that last scene. Eiji was being one smooth operator, but Mao’s just being a total dork. I’m guessing she has some kind of inner conflict dealing with her past or experience in France, but I refuse to believe that it has anything to do with Kouichi. Maybe she just wasn’t ready. I think this episode had some of the most interesting development so far, and there was lots of it. A few of you already know the appreciation I have for rain and its parallels, but I just loved that aspect of this episode. I also liked how the script’s plot was like a story within the Kimikiss story. An embarrassed Yumi was fun as always, and Kouichi’s childhood hope to be a novelist was really funny. KnJ must have done something to me, because I can’t stop laughing whenever I see a loli now (aka loli Mao in this episode). Narumi finally gets a minor role by providing the club with free udon, and it was kind of touching to see her elder pleased with her aspirations. I’m just glad the frogs went away!
When Eriko’s scene opened up with her holding Kazuki’s hand, I laughed really hard. Her tests are really awesome, but so are her newly revealed eating habits. I’m not sure how good mayonnaise and honey chips taste, but just like Kazuki, I was happy to see another side of her besides “Miss Genius”. I’m sure we’ll get to see even more of her soon, especially with this week’s preview suggesting more of her screen time in the next episode. Mitsuki’s introduction didn’t come off as dramatic as I thought it was going to be. As she already has a fiance, she is pretty much out of the picture for any love triangles. Oh well, at least I can laugh at Mamiko Noto’s voicing for her, which is just like Konoe’s in SnS. Please Noto, play some better roles like you did in the past! The next episode should be a blast with both Mao and Eiji being emo, and Kazuki’s “date” with Eriko.
PS: Ok, I lied earlier. Those weren’t the exact words I said, but Subculture does not promote cursing in its posts. Well, we’ll have some more fun next time!

My blog promotes cursing in my posts! d(゚∀゚*)
I actually laughed when Mao pushed Eiji away. I swear, not long ago, before I even watched this episode, I sort of imagined this sort of thing happening should Eiji kiss Mao suddenly…and lo and behold, Mao did push him away, though the reasons are still unknown. Perhaps she is just not ready, or perhaps she really does harbour feelings for someone else. I do know some people will be pissed if it turns out that she does like Kouichi in a romantic sense though. I, for one, am just watching on for any drama that might come.
Yeah, this episode sucked aswell..
“Miss Genius” seems to be an idiot, standing in the middle of the chemistry class because she wanted to hold hands. I´m seriously disappointed about how they portray smart people in this show, its so obvious that Eriko just wants to experience new things because she has been alone for so long, aka SHE JUST WANTS A HUG!
Kouichi is still a pansy for not making any progress with a girl who is obviously interested in him, i think this will be played out to him not wanting anyone besides Mao.
So yes do think that Mao and Kouichi will be kissing before the series is over.
As for the rest of the show the little girls seem a lot more mature than their senpais.(no wonder the cool frog couple hangs around with them)

BAWWWWW … T_T
I hope it’s not as bad as people say it is.
I Dont Know Why But For Some Reason While Watching This Series I Rememberd Umisho By The Way Are There Any Developments To A Second Season Of Umisho With The Inter Highs? Or During That Slide Show At The End Of Umisho[Umisho 13] That Was After The Inter Highs? That Show Was Awesome And I Feel Sorry They Ended It Like That They Should Have Developed Kaname’s And Amuro’s Relationship In The Middle Of The Chapter And Make The Kiss And Everything In The Slideshow A Moving Film Even Though The Ending Kinda Dissapointed It Was A Great Series And I Hope It Didnt End And There Will Be A Second Season That Will Explain More About The True Relationship That Was Made Between Kanama And Amuro
well couple chapter of this series anyway…
Interesting
Hinano > Freedom of expression? \o/
Halcyon > Haha, as much potential that this anime has for drama, I don’t know if we will get a huge amount of it. The direction just makes it seem like we will get a few ripples, but nothing major.
Dularc > Hey….there’s nothing wrong with wanting a hug….come on.
Michael > It wasn’t really bad….just like…”wtf”
Kaioken > LOL Umisho parallels? I guess I can see where you’re going with that….er kinda.
Makankosappo > It’s Special Beam Canon noob. Also, you can’t regenerate if I blow you up.
I can’t help but think that Mao’s inner conflict has something to do with Kouichi… it’s like she’s been repressing her feelings all this while, and it’s showing itself in her recent actions…
now regarding Mitsuki, I believe she’s not out of the love scene, Totali… I just read the end of her story in the manga, which might just be the direction the anime’s gonna take on her :3
It seems like to be a good episode. I wish the sub can come out soon. Thanksgiving makes thing goes slower =(
Totali: What happen to ef-tale of memories # 7 blog, dude? I thought you always on top of that series? lol
@usagijen: Mitsuki is part of love triangle. I definitely want to see that. Where do you find the manga? I really want to know how are they different from the anime.
Totali: I just read your message from last week. I’m just kidding. I know that you have a lot of study to do. Look at this way, it will be done into week after that anime marathon’s time !!! Oh, sorry about my bitching/complaining about the sub. I just wish I can understand Japanese.
Ahh…I just watched the sub a moment ago. I hunch about Mitsuki will become part of the movie’s club comes true! Man, if I’m this good, I should be anime’s producer. But come to think again, typical shoujo anime like this is pretty predictable. We’ll see if my next prediction is right. I think we gonna have the “nice boat” ending !! Just kidding. lol
usa-nee > Spoilerz! jk….well, maybe I’m totally wrong. All I do is guess anyways xD. I don’t want Mao to get close to Kouichi….childhood friend cliches are lame!
kenshin514 > Haha, you do let off some pretty good guesses on all kinds of shows @_@ Nice boat ending? That would be completely random, and no where near as funny as it was in School Days xD
