Chihiro's story actually surprised me. I never expected that much from it since a memory disorder isn't that new of a topic (50 first dates)and I highly doubted if there was any room left for development. However, Ef did, which made me love this anime even more. After seeing Chihiro's reaction when she woke up, I finally understand what her metaphor of being chained around the clock really really meant. Yu's "永遠に" gave this a good touch also.

Shirukii: Haha, I feel the same way. I usually have to force myself to cut impressions off when it comes to this or other Shaft shows. Finals are just around the corner for me too. Luckily everything I have to do is project based xD.

Dularc: Wow, if they released something like that I would definitely be interested. Chihiro's story is one of the most interesting parts of ef for me.

Siva: I dunno, I've seen some really fast textors for real. Miyako's desperation is very dramatic, but it doesn't feel to fake either. It's so easy to become absorbed in this show, which proves what a wonderful job Shaft is doing.

kenshin514: The movie may have been released in theaters, but it will still be awhile before it is out on dvd. I'm assuming we'll get to watch it around that time. I might even blog it. xD

Avisch: I do understand all the hate for Kei, but she's doing what any other person would do. A rival girl was messaging the person she liked, so she simply erased the messages. I definitely think she is going to be punished by Miyako somehow though, especially where things are going now. I haven't touched the manga, but I'm just an anime person. :P

That was a shock on the memory reset thing (I think everyone agrees). At first I thought her exhaustion had severely damaged her memory and then I realized "Wow that makes no sense".

I can sympathize the smallest bit with Kei around now. I understand she's desperate but first she erases the messages (which is heartless) and then implies she's romantic with Hiro to Miyako which harms Miyako even more.

I loved how the episode ended (with Miyako getting the call and saying "looks like I'm not forgotten")

Kyosuke's speech on how Hiro has gotten far was really nice. I enjoy the type of character Kyosuke is. He's not very complicated. But still deep....actually you can pretty much describe most of the male cast like that. But I hope you get the idea.

I read abit the "ef - a tale of two" manga. and apparently Yuuko has a much longer conversation with Hiro. It's pretty cute.

on the Yu hate. I also felt angry at him. Though I think we can all atleast understand what he was trying to do.

Wow, the ending about Chihiro forgot about Renji is very powerful and very painful to watch. Totali, now I understand why you interest in this couple more than Hiro/Kei/Miyako. The story about Renji and Chihiro starts very slow but very effective. It draws me in more and more every episode. I wonder how they are going resolve after what just happen.

As for the other couple, no wonder people hate Kei so much. I still like her. I mean without her, there won't be any love conflict between them. Then again, every couple is already set from the beginning. It shouldn't be any surprise in this series. I just want to know how well they are going to wrap up everything together in the next 4 episodes.

Totali: this has nothing to do with this story, but do you know whether someone will sub Rebuild of Evangelion the movie? It have been 2 months alerady since it release.

Finally the subbed is out and I am back.

First, Wow! Shaft is still handle everything pretty well without missing a screw.

Now it is time for Hiro to starts to learn what is going on. As for Renji, it is a bout time for him to fact and accept the truth and to overcome everything which he is going to face right now.

I dont know what to say about Miyako but only try to feel her pain which i couldn't explain into word. I am impress of her character so far that she is able to keep up like that. 99 messages? I dont know if I could do it just 1/4 of it.

Seeing Chihiro struggle like that is so painful BUT thinking about what Renji is going face is even worst. That said, which one is the most painful being the one forget or being the one being forget?

Shirukii: "Bah, I wish I had picked this to blog this season, I could write essay-length posts on each of these episodes." I knew that you would have gone crazy like that if you were to blog this series.

Dularc: "Also “Forget me not” could also be contributed to Reiji not wanting Chihiro to forget him." I guess you pick the wrong one, and the most suitable persons should be Chihiro and Miyako. And the next episode will be an amazing one.

It would be so cool if Shaft were to release Chihiros diary after the show is done just so you could further see her struggle with finding hero memories. Was Chihiro able to remember at least part of Reiji or was there a complete reset every day and she just wrote "i met a new person today". If reiji would get ahold of that diary would be even more gruesome! Having your heart ripped out every time you meet the one you love by her forgetting you every few hours. Thats just too painful to watch.
(that does´nt mean that im not continuing to watch it!)
Also "Forget me not" could also be contributed to Reiji not wanting Chihiro to forget him.

...*explodes*

I. HATE. KEI!

I don't know why I feel so strongly this time around, although I like her character I don't have any particular attachment to Miya, nor do I really identify with her plight. But I hate Kei with such a burning passion, even though this underhanded behavior isn't really anything new to anime or drama in general.

But seeing Miya break down, struggling to keep her ties with Hiro, especially in that scene at the rooftop door. All the while, the two just marginally missing each opportunity to meet each other. It pains me.

Stupid Kei.

Chihiro's arc was pretty awesome this week as well, seeing her struggle against her circumstances to keep her memory intact, only to have the physical limitations of her body kick in and reset her memories. Harsh.

Bah, I wish I had picked this to blog this season, I could write essay-length posts on each of these episodes.

...actually, with finals around the corner, perhaps it's for the best I didn't, lol.

Dularc: Well, there was the Nice boat reference in the first episode. I really don't know what I would say if they did go that route.

duck: woah tl; dr LOL jk. But seriously, that's blog post worthy o.O I am one of the few who is very interested in Kyosuke's story, maybe just from the artistic aspect of it.

lulu: Haha, nice observation! I noticed that too, but I guess I never thought to mention it. It'll be interesting to see how that comes together, since we rarely see those two.

Siva: Yup, it's hard to believe that the series is already nearing its end. Well, you could say this about a lot of the shows as the Winter season approaches in about a month.

duck: That was interesting to read. It seems like we have the same positive about Kei.

Since episode 1 I feel a little bit strange about wired attitude of Chihiro and after episode 2 we get to know about Chihiro has a memory defect I really want to see how they pull off a great and unexpected ending from it.

And now everything get into the turning point where Renji start to understand what is going on and Miyako is already at the end of the cliff. The most interesting part is here and we can only wait and see how are they going to resolve it. And the only one left is Kyosuke and what kind of move that he is going to make to win over Kei.
