Bamboo Blade – 11

Like oh mah gawd, Tamaki. :3

Summary:

Kirino tries hard in class to remember Satori’s name, but she is interrupted by the teacher as he throws chalk down her throat. Kirino expresses her troubles to Sayako afterwards, so she offers her help. Miyako is forced to do more work at practice because of her poor performance during the last competition. Danjuro is able to convince Ishida to let her rest as she collapses, but Miyako continues to panic when she sees Reimi outside. Miyako finally reveals to everyone what happened between herself and Reimi. When they attended the same middle school together, Reimi liked a very popular boy named Matsuki. However, when she confessed to him, he refused to go out with her because he was interested in Miyako. Miyako went on to ignore and fend off Matsuki, making her fear Reimi’s revenge in the present. Miyako thinks she sees Reimi again after everyone starts to go home, but she puts it off as her imagination. Reimi is there, but she mistakes Yuji as Miyako’s boyfriend. Reimi orders some punks to to take care of Yuji, but he easily scares them off that night. Kenzaburo and Ishida talk over the phone about recent events, but they are interrupted by the pouring of rain. In her own home, Tamaki also looks out to notice this.

Sayako meets Kirino with her unmistakable umbrella the next morning, and they both watch as Tamaki speeds past them. The team expresses their troubles over the rain before practice, but Tamaki thinks to herself that she likes it. Wondering why she believes it is so calming, she decides that it must be because of the good memories it brings. Ishida shows up with gifts for the team, and he takes the chance to ask if Kirino has remembered the name of their possible candidate. Yuji suggests that Kirino just call her friend to get the name again, before Ishida tells everyone where their next match will be. Miyako becomes devastated when she discovers that it is at Reimi’s school, but she assures herself that it will be fine. Tamaki takes everyone out during practice as usual, but Ishida asks her for advice this time. Mentioning that Tamaki has been training since she was a child, he wonders who taught her. Tamaki tells him that it was her mother, as she continues to remember good memories of her time with her. Kirino gets a reply to the message she sent to her friend about Satori, so she and Sayako decide to find Satori the next day.

When Kirino and Sayako find from Satori’s classmate that she is always in the library studying during the break, they become afraid that they will be taken for fools. Elsewhere, Ishida talks to Satori’s teacher about having Satori join the kendo club. The teacher suggests that it may be impossible, as her parents have not allowed it. Ishida suggests that this should be up to the student, but he learns that there is something more. Tamaki unknowingly sits behind Satori in the library, but Satori leaves by the time Sayako and Kirino arrive. Sayako and Kirino can only be excited about seeing Tamaki in the library, and they are eventually thrown out for causing a ruckus. The two guess why Tamaki was in the library, but they become amazed when she gives the real reason.

Preview: Satori finally steps in?

Impression:

Oh wow, this had to be the funniest episode ever. From Kirino’s silliness and the completely random fanservice at the start of this episode to the extremely over the top events by the end, I was laughing like crazy. Sayako and Kiriino’s chemistry proved itself again many times in this episode, and the all so popular umbrella even showed up. It really makes me laugh seeing how dumb those two are. Tamaki definitely got more appreciation from me after this episode too, with her mentions of the rain. If you’re a regular visiter here, you’ve probably heard of my love for those kinds of scenes quite a bit. I guess I’m kind of like Tamaki, wondering why. Tamaki’s even lolier form was really cute, especially when she was doing kendo action with her umbrella. The scenes with her mother are actually pretty touching. Even Yuji got a bit of action in this episode, defending against Reimi’s minions with a mere backscratcher. Speaking of Reimi, I KNEW they were going to make Miyako’s fear of her a total joke. Reimi should know that Miya Miya is only interested in Dan-kun! I’ll never get tired of those two, especially with all the ridiculous side action they had in this episode. Love powa!

Lol at Reimi’s reason for haunting Miya-Miya. I guess hell hath no fury like a woman scorned… ;)

Yay for Yuji and the backscratcher! I wonder if Reimi would’ve done the same thing if she knew that Dan is the boyfriend. :D

Looking forward to the subs! ^_^

I just love how Reimi did not expect one bit that Dan-kun was actually Miya Miya’s boyfriend. An expected reaction! xD

One of the things that stuck in my mind from this episode was that Azuma’s teacher’s skirt was really, really short and Toraji must have been really, really focused on getting Azuma to not even give them a fleeting glance. ^^; I mean really, that scene of her tugging on her skirt was just fanservice for the soul. :)

    Cheers.

LOL I didn’t notice that at all!! I dunno why, since the fanservice in the beginning was so obvious I could die. ;P
