Kimikiss pure rouge – 11
So I fell asleep half way through this episode…
Summary:
In the bath, Mitsuki prepares herself for her visitors. While walking with Mao in the morning, Kouichi remembers the previous night. He wonders what he really thinks about Mao, causing a bit of awkwardness for the both of them. Luckily, the two meet with the rest of their usual group soon after. While Mao expresses her surprise that even Eriko is tagging along with them, Kouichi notices how seemingly out of it Yumi is. When the group finally arrives at Mitsuki’s mansion, they are amazed at how grand it is. As Mitsuki starts the tour, Akira suggests that he will go outside. Mao does as well, looking back once at Kouichi. With the groups split up, Mitsuki leads Kouichi, Kazuki, and Nana through the mansion. Mao and Asuka discover how much Eriko knows about flowers outside, while Akira runs into a bit of trouble with his filming elsewhere. While Kazuki accompanies Kouichi taking pictures, he wonders if he has kissed Yumi yet. This flusters Kouichi as he remembers Mao, so he changes the subject to Kazuki’s progress with Eriko. In the library, Asuka is unable to relate to Eriko’s interest in some of the books there. Mao strikes up a conversation with Yumi below, but she also notices her distracted state. Elsewhere, Mitsuki amazes Nana and Narumi with her actions in the kitchen. When dinner is served, the group is amazed at the feast before them. Eriko is the only one who isn’t extremely satisfied with the meal, and Narumi is busy coming up with strange ideas for new udon.
Akira decides that he has enough footage to form an image for his scenario, but Nana does not want to leave yet. As Mitsuki ponders about a fun thing to do, Eriko suggests hide and seek. It is decided that everyone split into groups, so everybody draws paper slips. When Mao sees that she has the same color as Kouichi, she trades with Yumi. As Nana and Narumi set out, Mao talks with her pair Mitsuki. When she asks about the feelings she has about having a fiance that she hasn’t met before, Mitsuki expresses how nice it would be to finally him. When Mitsuki asks Mao about her own love, she can only reply that she is unsure of it. Kouichi asks Yumi if she is alright while hiding with her, mentioning her appearance at dinner. Yumi confirms that she is, but she mentions that it would be nice if things could go on like this under her breath.
After Nana and Narumi pass by the room a group is hiding in, Asuka asks Akira about Eriko and Kazuki’s situation. He replies that he actually doesn’t know either, and goes on to find how quickly Asuka has grown to accept Eriko. Kazuki brings up how surprising it was for Eriko to come up with the hide and seek idea, but she puts it off as another experiment. Kazuki becomes more surprised when Eriko confesses how she has started to enjoy being with everyone else. She credits this to Kazuki, and gives him a kiss when he least expects it. Eriko calls this another experiment, but Nana and Narumi burst in to ruin the moment soon afterwards. Mao is still troubled as she leaves with the group that night, so she decides to visit Eiji. Kouichi asks Yumi to help him again while seeing her off at the train station, so she agrees. However, Kouichi finds her in tears afterwards, and she quickly leaves without giving him a clear answer why.
Preview: Why did I see a frog just now?
Impression:
Those freaking frogs need to get thrown in a fire NOW!!! Ugh. So, I wasn’t kidding about falling asleep, but I’m sure it wasn’t completely the episode’s fault. I’m pretty much with the majority opinion right now though, as I feel like they have hardly gotten anywhere since the beginning. The first half of this episode was ridiculous, and those annoying little girl’s “ehhhhhhhh??”s didn’t help. I’m not into rich lifestyles at all, and a little girl’s hope to be an udon creator is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I was so ready to complain about Yumi and Kouichi again, but then they threw in Eriko and Kazuki’s kiss. That was awesome. At this point, Asuka is definitely out. Her conversation with Akira pretty much confirmed that she can’t see Kazuki as anything more than a friend. Eriko may still be calling everything an experiment, but her actions suggest a lot otherwise. Since we’re already getting close to half way through the season, I’m hoping things will ramp up from here. The episode preview suggests that we will finally learn what is going on with Yumi (tell us already!!), but I’m already pissed from seeing the frogs return in the preview.

I semi gave up. Havent watched the latest episodes but am gonna catch up at one point. From what Ive heard, I haven’t missed much though.
Oh man, this doesn’t bode well for the series.
Still, there’s Mao and Kouichi shipping so~
Deranged: Man, you really haven’t. In all honesty, you could probably just watch the last minute of each episode and get the same results as watching the whole.
/me shoots his pewpewlazers at Michael.
With everything else, I think Eriko is the only one who has had any significant character development so far.
OT: Have you seen the Honey and Clover drama commercial? I couldn’t resist a special mention for it. ;P
Heck yes! I’m so excited about that. I hope I’ll be able to watch it while it airs…
Totali: You slept the only half way through? I slept through the entire episode. Then again, it was like 2:30 in the morning when I watched it. I don’t why it seems like the animation/art-work quality drops quite a lot in this episode. The only good parts of this episode were when Eriko kissed Kuzuki and Mao ran back to Kai. Other than that there were absolutely nothing developing. Man, I can’t drop this series. If I started watching something about half way through, I usually won’t stop, but this series is getting painful to watch. Don’t you think so?
BTW, thanks for the anime recommendation. I have 3 episodes left for “Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru.” The story is kinda silly, but it’s still enjoy to watch (I really like the art-work. I’m picky person when it comes to anime art-work). After that, I probably start on Midori no Hibi. Let me know if you find other cool series.
I watched this, and I have to agree, those frogs are getting nastier by the next episode….
Still, I watched the whole thing (truthfully, I had to skip some parts) but when it got to Eriko and Kazuki’s part, I was just as surprised as Kazuki from what Eriko did to him… In fact, I accidentally kicked my UPS, and everything turned off… I said “WTF!” and had to take a smoke…
I was expecting a another kiss from Eriko, but not this early!XD
kenshin514: Haha, I feel the same way. I’ve gotten this far, so why drop it now? Haha OtomeBoku was good fun. Nothing much more than that though ;P. Midori no Hibi will make you laugh a lot. I’ll send you some cool series on MAL if I think of any
.
gungrave: Haha!!! The image in my mind you just created made me laugh out loud. ….almost as much as frogs getting run over by a school bus.
My first comment in this blog… I agree with the comments about the show is slow, but they are getting a slow character development, and i personally love that kind of plots; frogs must burn in hell now…
The character have had a good development, especially Mao and Kouchi relation they go from a bit of sexual tension in Ep01 to Cero Tension in the other ones, to a reborn sexual tension in the last ones. We all know about Yuumi family problem, it’ just too typic.
About Eriko x Kazuki i’m really surprised, no ’cause of the kiss, but the moment and time, about the dialogues and Eriko’s blushing face, if u remember in Ep01 it was a cold kiss, without emotion; this one seemed to be full of felling and it’s the first step for them starting go out.
Oh definitely. Like others are saying, Eriko is definitely developing the most out of all the characters. I dunno if Mao and Kouichi’s relationship could even be called development. It’s more like random spurts of confusion….but you totally pointed that out too.
Firsts are always good! Cool site, though in a language I’m not an expert in xD. Mahoraba fans are always good people in my book.
