Shakugan no Shana 2 - 12
Don’t take food from lolis, Wilhelmina!
Summary:
After Yuji trains a bit with Shana, Alastor reaffirms that Wilhelmina is researching more about Pheles. Yuuji recalls his recent promise to Shana, before she leaves ahead of him for the festival. Wilhelmina worries about the silver flamed tomogara, and a wind continues to approach elsewhere. The class admires everyone’s costumes at school, causing the usual reactions. Elsewhere, Wilhelmina meets Margery outside. As the festival starts, everyone but Ike cheers with excitement. Wilhelmina is hesitant about revealing her business, but Margery’s attention is quickly caught from the one word that she mentions. The regular group enjoys themselves while walking in the parade, and Yuuji notices that his parents have come. Eita and Keisaku are also moved to see Margery with Wilhelmina at the event. Margery insists on hearing more from Wilhelmina, but she refuses to say anything until a later time. Matake meanwhile tries to cheer up those around her, as she believes that there will not be another chance to enjoy a parade like this. After watching the group enjoy themselves, Margery agrees to meet Wilhelmina the next day.
The group continues to enjoy themselves the best they can by the end of the march, while Pheles continues to approach with her memories of Johan. While helping serve food after the parade, the group sees Margery and Wilhelmina approach. Shana offers Wilhelmina some food, and Margery is forced to stay as well. The group continues to enjoy themselves throughout the day, as something continues to approach. Ike gets dragged away from Kazumi and Yuuji, leaving Kazumi to think about the Sakais’ advice. Since she wishes happiness for both him and herself, Kazumi asks Yuuji if she can wait. The two are interrupted by nomination announcements, and most of the group becomes excited for their picks. Shana decides that she would take her chance to clearly tell Yuuji that she loves him again. Meanwhile, Konoe notices the wind after witnessing the touching of a boy and girl’s hands. Shana is chosen at the competition, so she takes the chance to get across to Yuuji. She is interrupted at the worst time, however, by the arrival of Pheles.

Impression:
Uh oh……uh oh!! It took half a season to get here, but it looks like we’re finally getting back on track! I did have a few problems with this episode, but it was actually pretty decent overall. It was really funny how the first part of the episode’s quality quickly shifted to the mediocre animation we’ve been getting for the past few weeks (Shana made me think of running lolis too). I also thought it was really annoying and unnecessary to constantly shift from the festival events to Pheles’ flying to the school. Yea, we knew she was coming since the end of the last episode. It’s also very convenient that Wilhelmina refused to give Margery any information right away. Wilhelmina getting food from her little loli was pretty cute though, and Matake’s want for everyone to have fun was fairly entertaining. I swear I’ve never seen high school kids working so hard and willingly. Ike totally got owned by that one chick again too.
Shana and Kazumi’s love rivalry returned to the way it was in the previous season, but I suspect that is because they’ve returned to the novels’ source. I laughed when they finally called Shana by her “actual” name again (take that Kabitzin). The outfits from the OP finally make sense now as well. Konoe’s interaction with everyone makes me expect that there will be some lame “let’s all be friends” ending, and I laughed a lot when she poked Ike with a stick. The arrival of Pheles is very exciting, and I’m so ready for all the action in the next episode. I wonder how mahou shoujo Shana will fair against!

From the preview it looks like Margery is going to beat the crap out of yuuji.
Only B Part of this episode actually entertains me with an appearance of Pheles. Finally a plot development. Yay! Though what I enjoy the most is the preview part. “Tanaka whom saw Ogata disappeared inside of flames.” Oh crap… this show is now interesting again.
Di Gi Kazune: man, just when I thought anime home planet was spamming me again, I find you in action! HAHA there are so many ways to parody the conversation they were having. I can totally see it: “no….I can’t tell you right now……but get a maid outfit ready.”
Yamcha: Yea……I remember when you were good….you know, in Dragonball. What happened man? What happened?
Nai: My feelings are a lot like Aroduc’s on this one. Stuff happens, nothing happens for the rest of the episode……oh wait…..stuff happens again! =)
Sigh….two more weeks right when it gets good.
They couldn’t pull crap like this while it was in love comedy mode, or they’d lose all their viewers! They was plannin’ this from the start, man, it’s a conspiracy.
It is a conspiracy to see who is true to the show! Now excuse me while I spend the next two weeks watching shana the movie repeatedly.

im guessing the reason these past 12 episodes were to focus on their shana an yoshida’s love and school life and everyone gettin together. but when the next episode comes out. the second half of the season will finally start to get more action and more serious the way we all wanted it to be when the second series came out.
The green haired busty chick has appeared and we’ll see how this goes.
Margery getting pissed off in front of wilhelmina was just awsome.
Looks like Shana and Saki’s clothes in the ending of the opening is the reason for this episode and for the next one too.
So far tolerating week one… may go crazy next week.
