anime isnt about restraint, replacing your own voice or dubbing it into english in your head is just a pathetic was of saying “im not gonna cry, I WONT cry, cause im making it sound stupid in my head. yeah… YEAH… now since itsounds silly i wont cry (covering ones ears) heh… Man points to me, i didnt cry since i was blocking out the full force of the show in my head) pathetic, if you shed a tear or two FINE it just means you wern’t cowardly enough to embrace this show for what it is. people who DO glance away and attempt to numb themselves to the force of the story (by LOL… playing the words in english in their head) are the equivelant to the little kiddies who suddenly find the pattern on the couch or carpet in the room theyr’e sitting in when watching a scary movie…
…Because that’s all you are… Scared.
…Only now you’re a little older (chronologically speaking) you dont fear the monsters, no…
…You fear the full force of your emotions and feelings… So you dwarf them, hide from them and dull them down like some of you have said (playing the voices in english in your own head in your own voice).
Those who do that… Who are really scared of watching a little anime in it’s full force… well…
…They’re really gay if you ask me.

ya man i feel the same way. Fukos arc was fun and at that one tear jerking part i was like crying with a couple (and i really mean a couple) of tears fall out.

On Komoti’s sad part, i wasn’t crying, i felt nostalgic sorta. Chills behind my back. that feeling only and it was sad, i give it that.

I really loved this episode as well! Though, I didn’t end up crying like I would expect myself too? I mean at the end of Fuko’s arc I was bawling my eyes out (disturbing image), but Kotomi’s character just doesn’t make me feel the same way, no matter how sad it was.

stevelikesanime: Rather than dubbing the lines, I make up dumb scenarios and make fun of things that I shouldn’t. That’s what kills it for me, haha.

Yeah, I’ve tried “adapting” the anime dialogue into conversational English, at least in my head, while watching some series. I don’t care if it makes me look weird, it just goes to show you how much of a fan of a series I really am.

well i got a look over it again and nothing, no tears just chills coming from my head

god ima stop this habit of mine pretending to dub the guys voices. it kills the moment.

ok im sorry but i did not cry
why?
i was dubbing my voice with okazaki’s and the old man and i killed it.
it was really touching i give it that.
the suitcase traveling around the world was awsome and i had chils behind my back all the time.
all those years the suit case travelled around the world, man thats really something.
dammit ima have to watch this episode again this time not talking or pretend to dub my freaking voice!!!

now that you cried totali i can see that an old habit of mine just killed me abut to cry.

Like ItAintEasy, I didn’t cry. But then, I cried while watching happy series like Aria. My tears are reverse tears!

And perhaps they might be making it 26 and not 24 episodes. I’m not too sure myself. Even so, they have to wrap up the mini-arcs of side characters like Sunohara. How they will pull this off, I wonder.
