Shakugan no Shana 2 – 14

Did someone say love power? I like love power.

Summary:

Margery taunts Yuuji a bit while he and the others wait outside for Shana. Yuuji reminds himself of the complications he holds within himself, while Shana flies somewhere in the sky above. Previously, Wilhelmina brought up a suggestion to use Yuuji’s power to help a now weakened Pheles. She also suggested to Margery that they may gain a chance to learn more about the silver flame. Kazumi was ordered to leave by Pheles because she was a normal human, which Kazumi worries about in the present time. Shana arrives at Kazumi’s house, proposing to take her back to the others. As Kazumi wants to be by Yuuji’s side, Shana expresses that there is no one who can stop her from doing so. As Kazumi flies with the help of Shana’s wings, she wonders how she has been allowed to be in this Flame Haze world. At the same time, she notices that Shana’s expression is the same one she had at the festival. Shana brings up her love for Yuuji in flight, making Kazumi again state that she will not lose. Yuuji is surprised when he finds that Shana has brought Kazumi back to the group. The procedures are started soon after, as Pheles gets closer to Yuuji. The complications dealing with Yuuji’s Reiji Maigo are brought up again, making Marchosias state the the only two things that are being worried about are Johan or the silver flame. Kazumi states that Yuuji is still himself, defending against Pheles’ glares again. She then asks Pheles for one favor.

Kazumi had requested that Pheles walk with her in the school festival. She stated that although Pheles is a Guze no Tomogara, she is first a woman who longs for her lover Johan. Remembering this event in the present, Yuuji is surprised at how much Kazumi and Shana have changed. Kazumi presents Pheles with a treat that they are known for, asking if this is the first time that Pheles has come to a school festival. Pheles states that this is not the first time she has attended a festival, and that she had gone with Johan in the past. Although she quickly walks away, Kazumi and Shana believe that they will get to her. Eita and Matake are enjoying themselves, until they run into Margery and Keisaku. Eita tries to avoid this meeting and runs off with Matake, but Margery reminds him that he has plenty of time. When the two are gone, Margery states that Eita has started revealing his true feelings after realizing what is really important to him. Marchosias reminds Margery that this was her fault in the first place, making her give him a good punch as usual.

Yuuji expresses to Wilhelmina that he is glad that he is there, then wondering what kind of person Johan was. Wilhelmina states that he is the same kind of person that Yuuji is, once being alive. Pheles had raised him as a child, but they grew to love each other. Wilhelmina believes that this is how Kazumi was able to convince Pheles. In the festival below, Pheles wins many prizes for a small child. Seeing that the festival will soon end, Pheles states that Johan will be sad. Pheles remembers the ending of a festival which she and Johan watched over. Johan was sad about this, but Pheles promised to give him anything he wanted. Johan stated that what he wanted was Pheles, embracing and kissing her. As the clock tower next to them shattered, Johan asked to live forever with Pheles. Pheles finally states that she shared important moments in the past, just as Kazumi is doing now. As the festival ends, Pheles thanks everyone for what they’ve done. She thanks Kazumi the most, however, revealing that is was her who assured her that she was ready to meet Johan. After a large explosion, Yuuji is found to be captured in the air by the real Pheles. The previous was a fake created in preparation for this. Pheles approaches Yuuji, but an armored hand comes out of him and through her stomach. In the crowds below, Konoe and her butler’s bracelets glow blue.

Preview: MORE BATTLE TIME! Oh….and we finally learn of Konoe’s real identity.

Impression:

WOAH! What is this going on at the end!? Looks like we’re in for another awesome episode next week. SnS really is picking up after the second half! Wow….now I’m glad I stuck out through the first half. Wow….wow. Ok, now I should probably talk about the other part of this episode…..you know, that other 18 or so minutes that nobody really cares about anymore. There was the revealing of Johan’s confession to Pheles, and a bit of information on how they fell in love. If you can’t already tell, I thought that was really awesome. Eita and Matake made me pretty giddy too (let’s hold hands!), but Margery’s usual love talk kind of irritated me. I also laughed out loud at Shana and Kazumi stating to each other that they wouldn’t lose for the millionth time. I thought it was pretty awesome to see Shana’s wings again, though it was at a bit of a random time. Pheles winning a bunch of prizes for the little kid was pretty cute, and it reminded me of how much I fail at games like that. I’m sure Pheles won’t turn out to be the enemy they are trying to make her out to be. She just wants her lover back, and there has been plenty of development to show that she is pretty attached to the rest of the group. I’m just hoping there won’t be a bad end for her, especially since many of us have come to like her in this short time.

Oh, almost forgot….this episode also had Kazumi fanservice and cute blushing Shana. Kyaa~!

Wow, nobody has commented yet? I’m shocked! I guess the first half of the season really killed some viewership for this show. But I agree that the second half is really kicking it back up. The end of this episode was just awesome, can’t wait to watch next week’s revelations.

Let’s just hope it doesn’t fall back into a terrible love com. Although I don’t really see that being possible now with the story back in motion, as long as it develops by the plot in the novels.

Ehehehe. One word describes what I feel for the upcoming episodes: CHUCKLE.

Fufufufufu. Wonder what will we see, eh? XD

I was really excited for this. So I watched the raw.

    “I won’t lose”
    “I won’t lose either”

    GOD DAMNNIT WE GET IT!

Go Pheles. Tragic past sympathetic chars FTW. I liked the flashback sequence. Johan’s voice is almost exacly how I imagined it (yeah I have a habit of predicting voices of any character (subconciously) most of the time it’s dead wrong).

Yeah the prize winning was cute.

And is this the first “meaningful” kiss in Shakugan no Shana (LOL at the first seasons twins).

“Omg! what is this metal hand stuck inside me?! the horror! the horror!” is what i was think in my mind when it happened. This episode was nice. With all the love blooming. Eita hurries up his love incase he might lose Oga-chan. Fake Pheles was nice. If only i was that kid that won those prizes XD

I was actually thinking that Pheles wasa nice girl after all at the festival. til at the end she was just like “Ah forget it” and she gets Yuji and tries to get Johan Back.

Like a said Totali, all of the entire first half was a filler for Shana and Yoshida’s quest for love =D The second half is where it really gets into gear. (Hopefully XDD)

Zakarum: LOL I don’t see why you’re surprised! My blog is usually pretty empty…you guys are just crazy. But yea, I think it’s all gonna rise from here. The first half probably shouldn’t have even existed….but it did….so that I could make fun of it.

The Flame Wizard: I lol’d….and added you. >.>

Avisch: Ahahha I remember those twins….ugh. Johan and Pheles’ backstory was pretty cool though. I think I facepalmed when I heard Shana and Kazumi’s usual declaration.

stevelikesanime: Yea…Pheles was all nice then she had to mess everything up for the sake of this NOT turning back into a silly high school drama again. Thanks Pheles!

LOL, I think it is like a wtf episode to me. I spend my 18 min for an uninteresting drama and then I saw 2 noobs.
What is wrong with Margery Daw, a spellcaster didn’t detect the Phelep’s fake from the beginning? And Wilhelmina didn’t suspect anything until the end she just say “Ring of Wind”?

The revealing of Johan’s confession to Pheles was like wtf and i dont even feel the drama at all. Has anyone know about a famous traditional Chinese romance “The Return of the Condor Heroes”?

Since this is a becoming thread, I must add my 4 pounds and 83 pence.

Wilhemina should have killed Yuji last season. >_>

With Yugi with unexpected and overwelming power that he can’t control just yet…I’m sure things will change when he actually starts taking action. I can’t wait for that to happens!

    Zakarum: You’re crazy…crazy!

Siva: Hahaha, yea the last part seemed kind of forced, honestly. I still thought it was pretty awesome though. Eh, Johan’s confession might not have been very dramatic, but I thought it was still pretty cool.

Di Gi Kazune: wuuutttt but then how could they continue the story! Wilhelmina spin off? :P

Dando008: Heh yea, I almost forgot about the power he was developing at the start of the series….it really feels like most of the first half was a waste. ;P
