Yukine: NEGATIVE HEART….LOCK ON!

Summary:

Tomoya finds Nagisa outside, warning her about how dangerous it is for her to be alone. After she assures him that she is fine, Tomoya changes the subject and asks about Nagisa’s plan on her play. Nagisa expresses that although she does not know the name of it, there was a story she experienced when she was younger about a girl who lived alone in the world. In the desolate world, the girl and robot finish their creation. It does not move no matter what they try, however, so the girl comforts the robot in tears. Tomoya recalls that he has heard a story similar to the one Nagisa has described in the past, but he cannot remember the exact details. His thoughts are interrupted shortly after, when Akio chases after a crying Sanae as usual.

When Akio returns to explain the situation, Tomoya changes the subject to the story Nagisa described. Akio does not know any information either, but he tells Tomoya to come to him before Nagisa if he found anything out. Sanae does not have any information on the story either, but she gives Tomoya some hopes about finding more about it. Yukine does not have much information when Tomoya is at the school later, so Youhei quickly changes the subject to something ridiculous. Yukine plays her love prediction games on Tomoya after Youhei, suggesting that the next girl to talk to him would be the one who liked him. This almost turns out to be Fuuko, but Tomoya successfully dodges her so that it becomes Nagisa. When everyone gathers, Nagisa explains to the drama club the details about her story. With this, Tomoya is sure that he has heard it before.

Tomoya and Nagisa search a storage room for the old book, but Akio appears to convince them to go back inside. When Akio is finally able to get alone with Tomoya, he tells him what he is trying to prevent him from finding. This happens to be a simple picture of himself and Sanae in their younger days. In the past, Nagisa had come down with a serious fever. However, Sanae and Akio were unable to watch her because of their busy schedules. They thought this would be okay, but Nagisa had attempted to leave the house in the snow. This put her in a much worse state. Terrified, Sanae and Akio swore from that day that they would always be by their daughter’s side. This was why Akio and Sanae opened a bread shop, and the very thing Nagisa felt that she should apologize for.

At the dinner table that night, Akio cheerfully announces an event for the next day. This turns out to be a picnic, so Nagisa tells Tomoya that they will do this in place of club activities just for a day. That night, Tomoya wonders about a loving family and his own father. Tomoya later arrives at Youhei’s house, explaining that he is letting Nagisa go to the picnic alone with her family. Youhei discusses Tomoya’s actions again, and also about Nagisa’s feelings. After Youhei talks some sense into him once again, Tomoya leaves the room. When Tomoya returns to Nagisa’s family, he finds that Akio had already thrown away the letter he planned for Nagisa to read before she could see it. The picnic turns out to include a baseball match with the kids Sanae teaches, so Tomoya and the Furukawa family enjoy themselves to the fullest.

Preview: What is she seeing!

Impression:

Man, hook up already! Freaking Tomoya and Nagisa…..Okay, okay…sorry. I’m not going to ruin such a good episode with my poor jokes this time. With just a couple of episodes left, things are finally building up for the finale. To me, this episode even seemed like a continuation from the earlier episodes. In particular, there were parallels with Tomoya finding Nagisa outside and even a well placed title towards the start. We finally learned about Nagisa’s past with her family, which will definitely provide for some interesting developments soon. The family over dreams theme almost had me in tears, so I guess that means I have something to look forward to in a few weeks. There were also quite a few funny parts in this episode, but most of them just added to the heartwarming atmosphere of the episode. Tomoya and Nagisa blushing over the misunderstanding that Akio caused towards the end in particular gave me a big smile on my face. Oh, and Fuuko’s reappearance made me melt. Yea, had to say it. Fuuko-sama~

Hands down, without a doubt, top of the line, no competition, distant first-place BEST Fuuko re-incarnation scene of the post-Fuuko arc. Could you imagine those tw-bwahahahahahah! Good thing this series wasn’t based off an H-game.

LOL @ Shugo Chara reference. Yukine’s “love prediction powers” are quite accurate, no? *Sigh* everything I’ve been following from Fall are about to end…

@RmX: LOL. It makes me wonder too. I imagine it will be quite scary if it becomes an X egg. xD

ya the past scene of Nagisa’s parents made me cry when all of a sudden she was lying down on the snow and nearly died. I mean that was very sad and I too would promise to always be with her all the time than get too caught up with my job.
