Fuyuki was a pointless imposition on the series. He added nothing of worth and took time away from the already-established characters' antics. The worst thing about him (or for him, more correctly), though, is that by doing this, they have basically lumbered his character with the baggage of everything people don't like about this season of Minami-ke, even if he wasn't directly involved. He's the symbol of the watering down of Minami-ke.

I still found a lot to like about this season, but I guess it was more because I was trying hard to, after falling in love with the first season.

third on the kana x fujioka pairing. Okawari caused my favorite male characters to shift from Hosaka and the touma's middle brother (his personality was priceless!) to basically Fujioka. He was certainly the main male character on the show (Mako does not count lol). Hosaka got little screen time :'(
I guess it is too much to hope for another season.

Haesslich: Haha, yeah. He always takes things too literally, especially when it has anything to do with Haruka. *rolls eyes* LOL @ Food Network show. The food will be yummy though and it'll sure be a riot with Hosaka being the host... Mako-chan as the assistant? xD

hazy: I think he took Maki's words too literally, and will be in for a surprise when he ends up at his destination. Shortly before getting his own show on the Food Network.

I thought the first one was much better since it was more random and had a sense of continuity at the same time (although that seems contradicting xD) It was funnier than Okawari too. I enjoyed Okawari as well, though not as much as the first.

I second the Kana x Fujioka pairing! Heh, so Hosaka never got to meet Haruka properly after all? =(

Blissmo: It's more likely to see a Kana and Mako-chan hookup. See above pic and the 'dream episode'.

Okawari tried too hard with the drama towards the end... which meant things went rapidly downhill, as they had to force Fuyuki into scenes to give him any purpose at all. Plus, the show works best as a straight comedy... and that really took some of the freshness and energy out of the show, by having them inject stuff like that, rather than just keeping to the weird, quirky humor.

Between that, the inconsistent animation, Fuyuki, and less Haruka and Hosaka... well, it's not a trainwreck like Gundam, but neither was it as good as I'd hoped it would be. Still, Kana looks good in that elegant skirt-suit combo... even if it seems a bit out of place on her.
