Kanokon - 01
OP: “PHOSPHOR” by Ui Miyazaki - The song is so typical and lame…..so is the animation. It goes through all of the characters we will be seeing, along with some furry action.
Summary:
A boy named Oyamada Kouta enjoys himself while into the raining sky, then walks on to meet a female acquaintance of his named Minamoto Chizuru. When Chizuru meets Kouta on another morning before school, she quickly becomes attached to him. A girl named Asahina Akane appears to scold Chizuru, but Kouta becomes surprised when he is put at fault as well. A few of the group’s acquaintances arrive shortly after, getting into their usual conversations and situations. When everyone reaches school, Akane continues to warn Kouta about Chizuru. The girls wonder why Chizuru is so attached to Kouta, but they deny his weird suggestion that it is his smell. Akane goes on to suggest that Kouta tell Chizuru that she is a bother, but this makes the girls wonder why Akane is so concerned about Kouta. She becomes a bit embarrassed about this, getting into usual trouble with Chizuru’s younger brother Tayura.
Chizuru gets into a usual argument with a teacher named Yatsuka in the halls, ignoring his suggestions as she passes in annoyance. Meanwhile, Kouta’s thoughts are interrupted in class as everyone suggests that he was thinking perverted thoughts again. Elsewhere, a man named Kumada Ryusei interacts with a boy named Kiriyama Omi and another girl about an incident that they suspect deals with Chizuru. Kouta is unable to get any bread during lunch time, so Tayura assists him. Chizuru appears shortly after with her usual flirting, but a gust of wind from Omi cuts Kouta’s bread in half during the moment. After everyone else leaves, Chizuru presents Kouta with a love letter. When Kouta meets Chizuru in an empty room later, she quickly begins to kiss him. Kouta is put into surprise because of this, but he is even more shocked afterwards to see Chizuru with fox ears and a tail. Chizuru is unable to keep this secret anymore, so she admits and proves to Kouta that she is a fox deity. Chizuru starts to believe that Kouta hates her for his, but Kouta states that her appearance was beautiful. With this, Chizuru proceeds to start taking advantage of Kouta. The two are interrupted by Tayura, however, who wonders why Chizuru has revealed her identity.
Tayura warns Chizuru about relationships between deities and humans, but Chizuru still insists her love for Kouta. She proceeds to kiss Kouta, disappearing in a flash of light. When Kouta opens his eyes, he finds that Chizuru has disappeared. After hearing Chizuru’s voice in his head, Kouta sees that he now has fox ears and a tail. Speaking through Kouta, Chizuru explains that she entered Kouta by kissing him. Kouta is confused as to why this did not happen with the first kiss, so Chizuru has Tayura explain that the human’s heart would have had to accept the diety first. Tayura angrily creates a flame to test Chizuru, but she defends herself by creating a much larger flame to use against him. Chizuru and Kouta separate in the aftermath, as Chizuru explains that the flame gets larger depending on the amount of love between the two individuals. As Chizuru clings on to him in nude, Kouta passes out. Afterwards, Chizuru pushes Kouta down in hopes of continuing what they started.
ED: “Koi no Honoo (恋の炎)” by Yui Sakakibara - I don’t really like the ED either. The song is pretty standard, and we just get a pan out of pictures on the wall.
Preview: A rival appears!
Impression:
TAIL FEELS SO GOOD. Ahahahaha, wow this was horrible. And by horrible, I mean awesome. I was more excited about Kawasumi Ayako’s role than Noto Mamiko’s boku one, but I freaked after hearing Saito Chiwa thrown into the mix. I didn’t know she was going to play a role in this show too! We got thrown into the story pretty quickly with this episode, as Kouta faced boobs in face as soon as the episode started. It’s pretty typical lovcom, but I don’t think it’s even worth explaining my addiction to this anymore. I’m really liking the style and animation too, especially with all the weird facial expressions. It looks like Xebec will be handling all the fanservice shows this season. Anyways, my hopes were definitely met with this episode for some good trashy fun. Kanokon will stay as my second guaranteed watch for the season. That’s all two of the love comedies for this season. Check….and check.

Wahaha, more fanservice! LOL
totali, you DO have a funny taste in anime! But I guess that’s why I drop by so frequently you weirdo
I think totali is a glutton for pain. Much pain and suffering. No matter! Pain and suffering leading to the Dark Side! And in the end… mwhahahahaahahahh! >:D
O_o god thats a lot of service
OMG totali, you are truly full of Love Power.
[…] been dying for some busty cool & spicy wolf fox to come around and bring him to manhood. While some people are going to blog and fap to this every week, I think I will pass. If this show had less boobs and […]
I think it’s lame that Chizuru just suddenly gets attached to him.
Whereas Rito in To-Love-Ru actually did something heroic to get Lala’s attention, though the sad thing is that he doesn’t like her.
I dunno if it’s that simple. It was set up like Chizuru was into Rito for a long time already, so maybe there will be some random back story.
like, wow Totali, how can you handle this much fanservice? You must uv trained your magic stick to be (dare I say it?) OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!!! y…y…yyy.. your a MONSTER!!!! *runs away*
(hurr hurr, I’ll probably watch this too! Good to be back to crappy shows! =3)
Hold on… what is the sex delayer in this show? Every harem has a “sex delayer” to keep the relationship from progressing. A body-guard? Magic that will kill him? Love rival who beats him up for be perverted? It will come. Also, you need a plot device that keeps him attached to her so he can’t just say screw it. That will come if it hasn’t already. Damn, what is going on here? These shows are all the same!
Yay for more boobs!
Awesome, wolfu replacements for Horo. Well…they’re foxes, but you can fap all the same.
I think To-Love-Ru is better, but I’ll try this as well…
The biggest problem here is that crapy shota.. ugh..
You know, this show isn’t as bad as most people think (or rather, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be :p) I mean, its just like you said, good trashy fun! =3 I liked the part where that Sensei is pretty much calling the fox girl a slut: “Is the mating season here?” XD
Still waiting for those To-Love-Ru subs though
sorry for double posting, but does anyone else think Chizuru’s tail looks like poo?

I like the show a lot too. Great production values, and writing seems snappier than the usual fanservice fare.
Also, this can’t possibly be as boring as Spice and Wolf was.
while Rosario+Fail did nothing for me and ToRabuRu looks dreadful, i think this show hits exactly the right balance between cheese and ero to continue to fill the Ninomiya-kun shaped gap in my viewing schedule
plus might the protagonist actually get some action, rather than being cockblocked at every turn? it’d be a refreshing change
Release your inner shouta! I liked this more than ToLoveRu, actually. Kawasumi Ayako ftw. Another fairly smart, quite sexy fanservice comedy that may fill the gap left by the underrated KimiAru. But yes, Chizuru’s tail is often quite badly drawn.
