Monday Review, Spring ‘08

Soul Eater: Hey, I like shounen! I mean, I watch Bleach! (because my dumb American friends do.) I watched Naruto! (until it went to hell with curry of life bs.) I was totally into D.Grey Man! (for 12 episodes….) Okay, but seriously, I did have fun with this episode. I really love the typical dark pop feel that it has, and BONES producing it definitely helps. I’m a sucker for this kind of style, which is why I get absorbed into these kinds of shows sometimes. I’m already liking Maka a lot, and this was all around pretty fun to watch. You’re freaking nuts if you think I’m going to blog a shounen though, let alone a show that will be airing for a full year. Maybe I’d do it if all of you donated five dolla to ABnet to save all the blogging children in need. Yea, all 6,000+ of you.

Special A: The first thing that stands out in this show is Goto Yuko’s main role as Hikari, which sounds a bit like her Abiru role. I usually don’t have any problem with Goto. It’s typically a great voice for a lot of characters. Hearing her play a main role is really weird though, and it’s going to take a lot of getting used to. As for the actual episode, I had some fairly decent fun. I know a few of you have been wanting me to cover this, but quite honestly, I didn’t have much of an intention to before the season started. If this was an actual Monday show it might be different, but I’ve already got two fairly certain shows for Sunday (which is when this is actually suppose to air). Besides, Hinano has already guaranteed to blog this and I really don’t feel like getting in her business for no reason.

Vampire Knight: Man, Fukuyama is in everything this season isn’t he? More importantly, this is a Hocchan show, and she’s actually playing a role that I can enjoy. She hasn’t been playing many in the recent years, so this is always nice. I can’t say I’m as big of a fan as a certain someone else though. I surprisingly had a lot of fun during the first episode despite it being a total bishie show. I mean, who doesn’t like vampires? Yuki’s interaction with the boys was great, and fighting anime is always fun. On a sort of related note, Touka Gettan is still one of the only shows that I’ve greatly enjoyed from Studio Deen. I’ll probably be watching this one on and off throughout the season, but don’t count on me covering it with so many other people doing so already.

Yep, Jun Fukuyama is everywhere this season. Many people are gotta hear his voice a couple days a week during spring . . . at least for me. . .
    But yea, YAY for Mondays!

lol, Soul Eater… dont do it totali, do not, a year, phfff ^^ … it was a fun watch, but episode-to-episode probably isn’t going to matter… it won’t be a case of Noe vs Hiromi. Blair-neko is :D

S.A, fine fun… fine? Soo shoujo. I like how the one girl doesn’t say a thing, but writes on paper, but its like hardcoded closed-captioning, genius.

Havent watched the V.K. I’m tired. WORD

Lol, i am definitely blogging both Special A and VK’s summary ^^.Since I am going to work in orange-subs to help in editing the script, I will blog it for love. I must say that Yui Horie is very good as Yuuki. I am excited now.

*goes back to writing the summary for VK and editing the script @_@

You made the right choice, and now Hinano and her homies won’t have to shoot up your place.

And what do you mean you didn’t like the curry of life? It was very filling!

Omg, Soul Eater! I really can’t wait to watch it. Vampire Knight is okay since I read the manga and Special A reminds me of Ouran High School which is a good thing.

Psssah, I hate Shounen but Soul Eater was badass. Reminded me of a cross between ERmentar Gerad and Kaibutsu Oujo only more badass.
