Kanokon – 02
I’d open her door….if you know what I mean.
Summary:
A girl named Ezomori Nozomu arrives in town on the back of her brother Saku’s motorcycle. Saku realizes that Nozomu was drawn to the smell of the wind in the area, soon leaving his sister after she assures him that she will be alright on her own. Elsewhere, Chizuru is very attached to Kouta as usual. She almost stops Kouta’s typical resistance by using her breasts, but finds that Kouta is still uncomfortable. When Chizuru lifts up her skirt to show Kouta instead, he runs away in panic. When he is a fairly good distance away from Chizuru, Kouta witnesses Nozomu eating in front of a shop. The manager finds that Nozomu does not understand that she must pay for the food she is eating, attempting to speak to her in English. The manager assumes that Kouta is Nozomu’s friend as he approaches, but Kouta is only concerned about his belief that Nozomu is the same as Chizuru. Kouta decides that he cannot leave Nozomu alone, even after finding that the price for the food is quite expensive. Surprisingly, Nozomu quickly pays for herself. As the manager works to get her change, Nozomu introduces herself to Kouta. After getting Kouta’s name in return, Nozomu gives him one of the spareribs she has bought. She also surprises him by sniffing and remembering his scent, before leaving to see him on a latter day. Kouta expresses his usual wonders to his grandfather that night before going to sleep, as Chizuru plots outside.
The next morning, Kouta screams in panic when he finds that Chizuru is above him in bed. When Kouta wonders how she got in his room on the way to school, Chizuru replies that there is nowhere that a yokai cannot reach. She puts this off as a joke, however, then talking about the key she obtained earlier. Chizuru relates the key to being a boy’s, as she again insists that she wants Kouta. When Kouta expresses his worry about being in public and in broad daylight, Chizuru simply puts up a barrier around them. Chizuru now naked makes Kouta again fear that he has reached manhood, but she becomes shocked when she sees Nozomu easily break the barrier and walk through. The citizens around panic at the sight they can now clearly see, as Akane and the other usuals show up in shock as well. At school the girls in class express their usual complaints and fears about the perverted Kouta. Chizuru quickly defends him, however, stating that she is the only one that Kouta sees. The girls realize that this is true, but Nozomu suddenly runs to Kouta and knocks him to the ground. Chizuru also clings to Kouta while wondering about Nozomu, causing the usual ruckus in the classroom. Nozomu is introduced to the class afterwards, and she quickly takes a seat next to Kouta while attaching herself to him.
Elsewhere that day, Chizuru panics while trapped to a chair in Yatsuka’s office. Chizuru is even more alerted when Yatsuka explains that Nozomu is a wolf deity, causing her to quickly escape the room. Outside, Kouta explains to Nozomu that he realizes that she is a deity. Nozomu only states her love for Kouta while clinging to him, but the two are interrupted by a flying trash can. This is of course from Chizuru, who wants to challenge Nozomu. Nozomu lets Chizuru know that she has heard of her from her brother, before clinging to Kouta again. While easily resisting Chizuru’s struggle, Nozomu decides that she will become Kouta’s object. Kouta believes that he needs to apologize to Chizuru while in the bath that night, when Chizuru enters the room. She attempts to get close to Kouta as usual, but the two are interrupted by Nozomu’s entrance. Nozomu begins to suggest that Chizuru is an animal, causing the two to argue about what features are more suiting for a human woman. The two ask for Kouta’s opinion, but they find that he has passed out. Akane notices that Kouta has a slight fever the next day, so she has him rest in the infirmary. Kouta believes he can finally rest here, but he finds that Chizuru and Nozomu are with him again. As the two continue to attempt to “sex him up”, Akane appears in panic of what she sees.
Preview: Competition of love, and……a battle??

A barrier!? That means we can have sex anywhere!!! God, this is probably the trashiest anime I’ve ever watched. …It’s awesome. So, right according to plan from last week, Nozomu was introduced in this episode. Interestingly, she is played by a seiyu named Takeuchi Miyu who does not seem to have any previous anime roles. There’s definitely not much to complain about in her voice, as she plays her role pretty well. Nozomu brings the usual role of competition into the picture, with some hilarious results. From where the story is leading, Kouta will still be all over Chizuru. Though, it seems doubtful that Nozomu cares to be anything more than his plaything. I actually listened to the entire first drama CD last week, and it seems like the anime will be doing the usual thing by skipping around in the manga or novel’s timeline. It’s something necessary though, so I don’t have any real complaints about that.
I’m really liking the style of this show, and it’s kind of giving me Manabi or Futakoi Alternative vibes. I said I didn’t like the OP last week, but it’s definitely been growing on me after a few more watches. Xebek may get a lot of bad rap, but I usually don’t have a problem with them. Some of the touches, like the way Nozomu moves while attaching herself to Kouta, added greatly to the hilarity of some scenes. I also liked the random techno beats. But yea, I’m loving this show in my usual confusing way. The only downer is how late this show comes out, so I’ll probably end up blogging it on Saturday mornings. How many of you are even awake then anyways, right? Ugh, memories of late night and early morning Touka Gettan blogging returns. See what I do for you guys!?

It is nice to see someone else there loving the show considering the bashing going on in the other blogs. Kanokon is something i can watch without having to use my brain. As long it stays consistent and keeps its pace i will follow kanokon. ^^
yeah is a easy waching crappy show , bue i dont think any women con stant this more than 5 minutes
lol… i was laughing too much at you opening line to read the summary… The screenshots look good XD
I’ll be waiting for this one subbed…
Late night trashy anime watching combined with painstakingly detailed summaries/impressions.
Emu ni natchatta to omoimasu.
Just watched it.
Kouta is the wimpiest male character I’ve ever seen. He screams like a little bitch every time a he almost gets laid by gorgeous girls. I don’t get it! This is why they don’t put realistic male characters in these shows… well, I guess they do… the shows are called hentai.
Lol i like this anime it’s funnny XD i just wish there was a little more action..err fighting action lol. looks like the next ep will have some though.
The random techno beats really put me off at the first episode >_>
And yeah, despite being totally trashy, this is one of those “turn off your brain” sort of shows. Easy watch, but nothing more.
Xebek? You have a problem with the blogger? lulz. (yes I know you meant Xebec).
I actually like Xebec personally. They haven’t really created a true classic yet but at the pace they’re going, they might do that someday. Also, the production value for their two fanservice shows are really good and it’s fun enough to watch IMO.
You are so right in your first couple Impression sentences… seriously, the service is overwhelming, but (thur’s a but)…
Ah, I guess I’ll keep up with this, dunno about Trouble though. Every season needs at least one Service-Machine. ^^
It doesn’t matter if the show is trash or not, Anime is known for its nonsense humor, fan service, originality and morals.
unlike here the US where every joke evolves racist or homophobic jokes.
Kanokon is just another fun ride of ecchi-nonsense and I’m looking forward to see how it ends. ^^
OMG! The fanservice has increased!!! Now I really can’t watch this any more >_>
The shota really loves his furry.
/me sets up a barrier. Lets go totali!
The comment before this is so… suggestive. >_>
I can’t see it. I put Ruki on /ignore.
