Wagaya no Oinarisama - 06
Mmmmm……cake.
Summary:
Walking to school in the morning, Sakura is unable to calm herself about her troubled love. When Sakura enters Noboru’s classroom later, her friend Megumi is easily able to see her true intentions. Sakura troubles herself about Tenko and Ko’s relationship with Noboru, but she panics again when the popular girl named Miyabe Momiji enters the room. Observing the circumstances in the room, she believes that Momiji may be an even greater threat then the other girls. Luckily running into Noboru after practice, Sakura takes the chance to walk home with him. She follows him to the bookstore, but while they are there, she is surprised to see Tenko and Ko arrive. Ko quickly spreads salt to rid the area of spirits, but Sakura is unable to comprehend her actions. After running into some trouble with the store’s manager, the group continues to walk home that night. After observing Ko and Tenko’s personalities, Sakura again puts troubling visions in her head. As Tenko begs Noboru to create a cake, Sakura expresses that she is able to do this. Ko asks for Sakura to help her with cooking in reply, effectively giving her an invitation to the Takagami household. That night, Sakura’s older sister is forced to help her sister pick out an outfit for the next day.
When Sakura finally arrives at the Takagami household the next day, she continues to be nervous in her greeting of Noboru’s father. When she sees the picture of Miyako inside, she is overjoyed at how adorable it is. After being greeted by Ko and Tenko, Sakura witnesses their odd personalities once again. Noboru is forced to prevent Sakura from seeing Tenko’s ears during their conversation, but Sakura is only relieved that the girls do not seem as if they are Noboru’s girlfriends. The girls make progress in cooking later, but are forced to enter the bath after one of Tenko’s mistakes. When it seems as if they will not be able to have cake in the house afterwards, Sakura suggests that they go out to eat some.
Reaching a cake shop later, Sakura explains to Ko that she sometimes goes there with her friends. When she expresses that Tenko and Ko are probably her friends as well, Ko blushes while stating that this is the first time that she has had such a relationship. Sakura starts to worry that she has only been thinking about herself, but she is relieved when Ko and Tenko offer their help to her is she were to ever need it. The girls are interrupted during their walk home when the boys appear while being chased by books. These are being controlled by the spirits from earlier, but Tenko is easily able to take care of them. Sakura is shocked at the sight she sees once again, but Tenko easily alters her memories a second time. When Sakura regains consciousness, she is overjoyed at the fact that Noboru is holding her in his arms. Sakura tells Noboru her wish to invite Tenko for cake the next day, due to Tenko’s previous actions. However, this makes Sakura worry about her thoughts once again.

Impression:
Haha, this episode was great! I’m still really loving Sakura’s character, along with all of her crazy fantasies. Her descriptions of Ko and Tenko were absolutely hilarious, and her befriending them made for some very fun circumstances. I talked about her seiyu recently, and I finally remembered to watch the two dvd episodes of Sumomomomo mo momo because of it. Of course, they were as hilarious as ever. Speaking of seiyu, Itou Shizuka’s character Miyabe made her short appearance in this episode. It hinted that she would be playing a much bigger role later, so it will be really interesting to see what happens with that. The girls’ antics were all as great as ever, especially with even Ko attempting to keep Tenko’s identity a secret from Sakura. Though, I thought it was kind of strange that they managed to put some fanservice in this show. I don’t suppose anyone will complain about that. What about Tenko with short hair? Next week looks like it will be full of all kinds of awesome, so I definitely can’t wait for that.

I like this show too. But it’s kinda shame that SS’s translation is a little bit out of world for me so I got kinda late. I wonder where did Kiss-Ayako gone to..?
Kano Yui just makes this episode. Her Sakura is great: loony but real. And Hayami Saori really sold that hackneyed “You’re the first friend I’ve ever had” line.
I can’t believe you mentioned Sumomomomomomo and this show in the same breath.
Dude….what’s wrong with Sumomomo mo momomo!
Also….I like it when they get all blushy.
I feel so sad that I can’t comment on any of your posts because you blog like every show that I DON’T watch =(
You feel sad?! What about me who is watching nothing at all and trying to comment!
I actually planned all of this out so that I could beat everyone in comment spamming.
In other news, I still need to catch up on the shows that I’m not blogging so that I can do that said comment spamming.
