To Love-Ru - 07
Traptastic lolis.
Summary:
Rito worries about being late in the morning, even though Lala has already gone ahead. While running to school, he notices a girl standing to the side while wearing a boy’s uniform. Rito warns the girl that she will be late, but she assures him that she will be alright. At the school, a boy named Ren Elsie Jewelria is introduced to Rito’s class. The girls around go wild after seeing his appearance, but the class is quickly shocked when he states that he has found his bride in Lala. Ren quickly challenges Rito, but he is put in despair when Lala does not remember who he is. When Saruyama questions Ren’s relationship with Lala, he quickly shows how much time he had spent with Lala during their childhood. Lala quickly remembers that he was a crybaby, as Ren also recalls the experiments he had went through for Lala’s sake. One day in the past, Lala had agreed to marry Ren if he had become manlike. Lala cannot really remember this promise, but Ren is quick to challenge Rito again.
Throughout the day, Ren proves his manliness to Rito and those around him. When he asks Lala for her opinion, however, he is put into despair that she states that she doesn’t really know. Rito thinks about what would happen if Ren were to take Lala back to space later, but he is interrupted by Ren who wishes to talk to him. Before that, however, Ren accidentally kisses Rito because of Saruyama bumping into him. On the school rooftop, Ren wonders if Rito is hiding any secrets to becoming manly from him. Of course, Rito does not think Ren is going about things the right way and simply leaves him to despair to himself. Ren later asks girls around the school about their opinion on manliness, but when he applies all of their suggestions, Lala only thinks he has become interesting. Ren draws his inspiration from a manly film afterwards, resulting in his obtaining of fame and recognition.
When Rito suggests that Lala go ahead and tell Ren that he is manly to stop him from going any further, she replies that this would be fine. When Ren receives Lala’s invitation, however, he does not believe he is ready. Ren participates in even more events, such as racing, boxing, and running, obtaining even more fame afterwards. When he finally meets Lala to receive her statement, however, a sneeze makes him reveal his true from. In fact, Ren was actually the girl that Rito had run past in the morning previously. Of course, Lala is unable to claim that a girl is manly.
Preview: Kotegawa Yui.
Impression:
……WHAT!? Okay, I thought the girl introduced in the beginning and flies hinted towards something, but I was not expecting the end of this episode at all. I love how it just cuts off too. I did laugh at a lot of the parodies in this episode, especially the Rocky one, but I honestly thought this episode was the weakest out of all the ones so far. Watching Ren’s mission to become manly just wasn’t that funny, and it felt like most of this episode was simply wasted. The engrish and ending revelations had to be the best parts of this episode, but really, the first step to being manly would be to stop using “boku” right? Also, the overuse of fog to block out scenes is really funny. Next week looks like the start of more school antics and another new character. Hopefully it will be a lot more interesting than this one.

the first step to being manly would be to to stop trying to be manly. Otherwise you’re just a garblob wannabe.
Sigh….quite a lot of filler again but at least they introduce Ren & Ran is this episode. Yes !! My second favorite character in this series, Yui, is coming next episode. My #1 is still Haruna-chan.
Well, you have to remember that Ren and Run are practically two different people altogether, just only one can exist at a time. I was really confused for the longest time what was going on.
Woah… I wasn’t expecting that they would introduce Ren and Run together like that. I knew they were really going to mix it up for this episode but I didn’t know it would be this much. And now I know the episode is out, I am going to give it a watch myself.
Wow, the episode not only had Ren, but Run as well! Go Run-chan!!
To-LOVE-ru is finally getting interesting; more so now that Kotegawa Yui is debuting next week.
Oh, so they’re like two different people in one body or some crazy thing like that? I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised when this is coming from an anime about aliens with not-so feel good tails.
Good to hear that next week’s character should be fun….
Let’s all hope Yui will save the day until the end of this series XD. But having her in such early episode, how many episode does this have anyway..?
LOL QUALITY
They made Yui look so bad in all the preview shots I saw.
Awesome thanks a lot for everything
LOL this episode was too much.. All that work for nothing.. poor Ren lol..
