Summary:

A boy named Katou Sourou follows a woman named Oda Yae, as they enter a usual room in the Fog Blue company. Yae quickly announces that they will be working on a project dealing with the Nabari no Ou, but only she and Katou would be active. Yae quickly has Katou contact a certain organization, as she plans to travel to the Banten village. Kumohira and the others enjoy dinner at the Rokujou’s shop, but Miharu refuses to tell them what happened to him. Miharu’s grandmother asks Miharu to accompany Kumohira after everyone else leaves, but he can’t seem to come up with anything to say when he meets him. After awhile, Kumohira takes the chance to admit that he doesn’t really like how Miharu is living at the moment. But although he wants to protect him, he does not wish to take away his freedom. Although Kumohira isn’t certain of what actions he should take, Miharu assures him that the Kairoshu probably wouldn’t be after him. Miharu lets it slip that he met with Yoite, but he still refuses to give Kumohira any details. Before leaving, he reminds him that nobody knows what would happen when he obtains his powers.

While Miharu and the others are at school later, they are shocked at the arrival of Yae and Katou. Yae quickly reveals that she has the ability to read people’s hearts, easily proving it to those around her. When she implies a secret of the past held between Kumohira and Miharu, Kumohira quickly stops her. For a change of pace, Yae makes a proposal for Kumohira and the others. After a quick introduction of their organization, Yae asks the group to assassinate a person named Eugene Frosty. A CEO of a major company, Yae reveals that Mr. Frosty has been involved in things such as harmful weapon testing. Further more, she reveals his relation with the Kairoshu. In exchange for this job, Yae would give the group the Togakushi village’s kinjitsu scroll. Kouichi and the others are surprised that Yae would give up such an important item so easily, but she quickly makes them realize how she can use her ability.

The atmosphere instantly becomes threatening, as Kouichi and Raimei prepare to attack Yae. Kumohira remains undecided, however, as Yae pushes his decision my mentioning a secret he would not want to lose. When Yae finally speaks with Miharu, she easily sees through his indifferent appearance. In reality, it was if his heart had died after his mother passed away. When Yae tries to dig deeper into Miharu’s heart, however, she is quickly attacked by the Shinrabanshou. As Miharu’s powers start to surface, Kouchi and Raimei move in to attack Yae and Kattou. Kumohira quickly stops them, however, finally agreeing to Yae’s proposal. While at the airport later, Yae collapses from using her ability too much. After she looks into Kattou’s heart for a moment, she recalls how she had obtained the kinjitsu because she could not believe in people. Of course, Kattou assures her that he and several others are quite different. When Yae sees news of Eugine Frosty, she has Kattou hurry. When she takes a chance to look at her cellphone, there is a picture of a young girl displayed.

Later while Kumohira and the others are alone in Tokyo, Raimei receives a phone call from Saraba about information dealing with Raiko. With Miharu’s assurance, she takes the chance to go back to the Fuuma for awhile. When the boys see Mr. Frosty arrive to meet his acquaintance later, they meet again with Yae and Kattou. The group suspects that there are no Kairoshu around at the moment, but Yae reveals that her ability has a limit in how far she can use it. Despite this, Miharu sees Yoite in the distance when they reach the inside of the building they are at. When Yukimi and Yoite reach the office Mr. Frosty is in, they are introduced as the Kairoshu hired to assist him. While speeches are held in the building’s auditorium later, Kumohira and the others quickly start to take action.

Preview: Battle? Um……battle?

Impression:

Hahahaha. Sorry, I know my little subtitle has nothing to do with this show, but i couldn’t resist. This episode introduced Oda Yae and Sourou Katou of the Togakushi village. I don’t know about you guys, but I think Yae’s ability is really overpowered. Blizz plz nerf! I mean, if Kattou’s thoughts weren’t already a good example, couldn’t she look at everyone’s perverted thoughts if she wanted to? Speaking of awesome love power, Raimei blushing at Miharu was really cute and fun. The way this episode was set up was hilarious though, especially with Raimei just up and leaving everyone after a phone call. I guess I would blame it on the transition from manga to anime that didn’t quite work. Some of the animation in this episode was a bit sloppy as well though, and I am always bothered by the “dead eyes syndrome”. As far as Mr. Frosty goes……pffff….HAHAHA. Mr. Frosty!? If the engrish wasn’t hilarious enough, we were introduced to probably one of the silliest names ever. Eugene Frosty….Wow, his parents probably hated him.

More seriously, I did think Yae’s ability brought up some very interesting possibilities, especially after she looked into Miharu’s heart. It was awesome to see another glimpse at how powerful the Shinrabanshou actually is. Also, Miharu’s messing with the lighting reminded me of Powder for no particular reason. (Tired of random references yet?) It looks like we’ll finally get some more action next week. I almost forgot I was watching a fighting anime!

[…] In the spring season a fanboy’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of pairing up charas. In the vein of the Code Geass speculations over at the appropriately named Koibito Anime blog, I was wondering if the series is going to pair Raimei up with Miharu given his ‘Raimei’s happiness is my happiness line’ :0 Feel the love power!
