Summary:

Shimizu Raiko and Meguro Gau catch up to a member of the Kairoshu who is running away. Soon getting his attention, they explain that they are the Wakachi. These are members of the Kairoshu who handle traitors in the organization. After cutting the man down to reveal the large amount of money he had stolen, Raiko lays a flower on his body. When Raimei sees this flower on the news report that airs in the morning, she realizes who had placed it. When the Banten ninjas cannot contact Raimei at school, Kouichi offers to find her. Kumohira does not believe he should take on the action himself, but he is forced to catch up to Miharu before he can deny. While the two are alone, Kouichi reminds Kumohira that he is unable to die because of the actions taken with the Shinrabansho in the past. As Miharu’s grandmother is away on a trip, Kumohira has Miharu stay with him at his house. Thinking to himself, Miharu worries about his feeling that he should meet with Yoite soon.

In the meantime, Raiko and Gau get acquainted with Yoite and Yukimi. When Gau expresses his distaste in Yukimi who was unable to complete a mission properly, Yukimi’s sister Amatatsu can only agree that they must try harder. Yoite becomes annoyed when Gau expresses his belief that the Shinrabanshou can be used for justice, but he soon feels pain after threatening him. As Yoite leaves the room, the Kairoshu members realize that he does not have much time left. Gau beleives that Yoite would be fine if he just didn’t use the kira so often, but Hattori makes him realize that it isn’t this simple. Like a broken cup, the user of the kinjitsu “kira” would not be able to return to the way he was once before. Hattori also takes the chance to ask about Raiko’s recent change of actions, so Raiko explains his duty dealing with the Shimizu.

While traveling, Raimei recalls the event in which Raiko had murdered everyone else in their clan. Kouichi arrives at Raimei’s home with the Fuuma too late to catch her, and Saraba makes him realize that Raimei plans on killing her brother as he is a traitor. While Miharu is alone with Kumohira, he expresses his realization that he is hiding something from everyone. Miharu requests to know what this is, offering to tell Kumohira what he had spoken with Yoite about in exchange. At the same time, Hattori recalls an event that occured ten years ago. The holder of the Shinrabanshou had been realized, and many attempted to get to him. However, a hijitsu was used and everyone had lost their memories. Miharu realizes that the only one who hadn’t lost his memories was Kumohira, though he avoids admitting this.

Amatatsu visits Yukimi and Yoite to prepare a meal for them, but Yoite takes the chance to leave. Realizing that he does not have much time left, he tells himself that he must seen Miharu soon. Looking at the moon outside, Miharu finally reveals to Kumohira his plans on using the Shirabanshou for Yoite. Miharu asks Kumohira what he would do if he were to use the Shinrabanshou, but he does not receive a direct answer for quite awhile. Finally, Kumohira states that he would kill him. Miharu claims that the Shinrabanshou is for himself to use, and finally reveals the fears he had for seeing things like Kouichi’s murder. Having seen the same eyes in Yoite, and being the one who he had turned to, Miharu claims that he will save him. Elsewhere, Raimei finds herself in the middle of many flowers. Raiko strikes at her, but she blocks with her own sword. This being the anniversary of the end of their clan, Raimei and Raiko prepare to fight.

Preview: Raimei VS. Raiko

Impression:

Amatatsu…she speaks it! Wow, there were a lot of developments in this episode. Most of the stuff was hinted in recent episodes, but there were so many revealings in this episode that it was almost hard to keep up. Kouichi finally talking about some of his background was interesting in particular, and it would probably explain his quick personality changes. Needless to say, this will probably put on a whole new edge to his character. Miharu pushed Kumohira into revealing the past he wishes to keep secret, hinting more and more than Kumohira was involved in the scene that was shown at the beginning of this series. It was great to finally see Miharu break out of his indifferent nature for just awhile, especially when he finally stated his reasons for wanting to save Yoite. Then, of course, there’s the introduction of Raiko. He’s definitely not as threatening as I would have imagined, but my thoughts might change after watching next week’s episode. Oh, and I’m going to have to second Aroduc on his looking like Imagay Raito. Ahahaha.

Haha, totali you sound so enthusiastic every time you blog the episodes for this series. Man, I got so bored that I decided to stop at episode 6, but I shall continue reading it instead, JUST in case something “big” happens.
