Summary:

Deciding that it is finally time for her to learn how to use a phone, Noboru gives Tenko his phone number. Ko answers the door to a cat that night, who has a delivery for Toru. When Toru and the others discover the contents of the box, they are surprised to find a young girl wrapped in bandages. Toru believes he had seen the girl’s eyes open when he first opened the box, and when Ko mentions that it was a normal cat that delivered the package, Noboru’s image of the deliverer is quite different. When Haruki returns home, he wonders if they should remove the bandages from the girl’s body. However, Tenko advices the group not to do so. Haruki gives the girl the name of “Shiro-chan”, because of her white appearance, but this does not help to solve their problem.

At school the next day, Toru meets a boy who seems to predict the moves of the baseball players he is watching. With this, Toru quickly guesses that the boy may not be human. The boy asks if Toru has seen a young girl with her eyes shut around, but Toru denies. Before leaving, the boy asks if Tenko is doing well. Toru is surprised that the boy knows her, but he confirms that she is. Noboru learns from Ko that Shiro has not woken up yet as the two walk home together, when he notices a strange woman not too far from them. The girl stops to wonder if the two have seen a young girl around as well, but when Noboru denies, she leaves wondering if her predictions were off. Noboru learns from Ko that the woman was not human, confirming to himself that some of the woman’s assets were indeed strange.

Ko is startled when she sees her traces spread around the house. Noboru is unable to see these, so Ko leaves on her own to see what has happened. Ko is surprised to find Shiro awake in the halls, but when she and Noboru attempt to ask her things, she does not speak back. When Toru returns home, Noboru is surprised to see Shiro smile at him. Because of this, Noboru leaves Shiro up to Toru. When Toru leaves the room to change, Shiro is even brought to tears. Toru watches TV with a cheerful Shiro later, as Tenko thinks to herself upon observing the girl. In other places, the woman Enju becomes impatient when Shiro is not delivered to her on time. Her servants tell her that the package had been sent to Toru, then explaining that the family is protected by Tenko. Despite this, Enju orders her servants to retrieve Shiro no matter what.

The next day, Sakura gathers her courage once again to ask Noboru if he would walk home with her. Noboru agrees, but on his way out later, he finds a message in his shoe box from Miyabe. When Noboru goes outside, he finds that the person meeting him is not the same Miyabe he had in mind. When Enju’s servant finds that Noboru refuses to cooperate with him, he and another man carry him off in a bag. Isolated in an unknown room, Noboru wonders who his captures are. He then finds that his cellphone is missing, and he also worries about his promise with Sakura. The Takagami family receives a mail from Noboru’s cellphone, claiming that he will be staying at a friend’s house that night. As Tenko preforms a ritual on the rooftop later, a messenger appears to state that they have taken Noboru hostage. As proof, Enju reveals that it was her group that actually sent the previous mail. Enju simply requests that Tenko return what she stole from them, but when Tenko denies that she did such a thing, Enju challenges Tenko to meet her.

Preview: The continuation of the arc…with more Shiro!

Impression:

…Then you’re a total sicko! This episode of Wagaya made it seem like a really awesome possibility though. Shiro was totally cute, and I loved her attachment to Toru. A few other characters were introduced as well, including the rather busty girl that Noboru saw in the street (Bekira), the blonde boy that Toru met (Tsukuyomi), and what seems like a new antagonist in the form of Enju. It seems like so many characters are introduced with each new arc, which I’m not sure I like. Nothing major, but it’s a bit of annoyance when their names aren’t even properly stated. The episode was entertaining, none the less. The beginning of this episode really threw me off with the cat, but it was really funny how Ko actually thought it was a normal deliverer. I also laughed pretty hard at the means used to capture Noboru, right down to the freaking bagging of him. Who does that!? It should be interesting to see more unfold in the next episode, though I’m not sure how much the preview actually helps us see what will happen. The scenes from last week’s preview weren’t even in this episode.

Please, not more Toru-centered episodes. That kid bores me to death.
