Summary:

Recalling that Saito is no longer Louise’s familiar, Siesta decides that this means he does not belong to anyone anymore. When she catches up to the desperate Saito chasing after Louise’s carriage, Agnes stops to her call. Agnes agrees to let Siesta travel with them, and the group is surprised when she unpacks her luggage full of cooking supplies. Continuing the journey, Siesta becomes quite attached to Saito. Louise is clearly bothered, but Siesta reminds her that Saito is no longer anyone’s belonging. After awhile, Louise brings up that they are actually on a mission. Saito further reveals that they are searching for a fairy, though Siesta is still really only concerned about other things.

As the group camps for dinner that night, Louise leaves in preference of wanting to be alone. Saito wonders why she is acting like this, but Derflinger makes him realize that she is troubled over Saito’s new position. If Louise were to summon another familiar, it is very uncertain that Saito would reappear. Agnes soon hands Saito a wooden sword, quickly striking at him. Saito wonders about her actions, but in turn, she wonders what he is worried about. During the spar, Saito is able to deflect one of Agnes’ attacks in a dire situation. With this, Agnes sees that Saito has started to remember some things. In the meantime, Louise attempts to hide that she was worried in the carriage not too far away.

The next day, Saito is shocked to spot Tiffania near the road. Tiffania starts to run when Saito goes after her, but she quickly stops when Saito reveals who he is. When Tiffania attaches herself to Saito, Louise and Siesta can only wonder what the meaning of this is. Inside Tiffania’s cabin that night, Louise becomes angry with Tiffania’s actions. When Saito defends Tiffania as his life saver, however, Louise again leaves the group in frustration. Alone in the nearby forest, Louise realizes that she really did not know what Saito had done to protect her alone in the war. She continues to worry, however, because she does not know what to do.

Siesta eventually meets Louise, attempting to comfort her. The two form a truce against Tiffania and her large breasts, but while Siesta cheers, Louise suddenly senses something. Dog-like beasts soon surround the two girls, and Sheffield again appears. When the girls do not tell her where their new companion is, she quickly attacks them. With Siesta’s help, Louise is able to retrieve her wand and use it to fend off some of Sheffield’s minions. However, this is not enough to stop all of them. Hearing Louise’s screams, Saito hurries to find her. Derflinger wonders if Saito will be alright, since he is now only a normal human, but Saito again declares that he will protect Louise.

Louise makes her final stand against Sheffield by using her summoning ritual. She believes that she would be able to reach Saito, and when he appears through the portal that appears, she is brought to tears in relief. Sheffield is unable to believe this, and when Saito stands in to defend Louise, she simply leaves with promises to meet again. Louise completes the familiar’s ritual afterwards, and after Saito shares a kiss with Louise, the rune on his hand successfully reappears. Louise’s moment of happiness is interrupted, however, when Siesta appears to attach herself to Saito as usual. In the air, Sheffield reports to her master Joseph about the situation that had just occurred. Joseph is not worried, only asking for her to keep watch for a bit longer. Revealing that Saito has returned to being Louise’s familiar in Tiffania’s cabin later, things return to normal for everyone.

Preview: Boobies.

Impression:

What the heck? Those boobs were way too big…and unnatural. I dunno, I’m really not sure if Noto’s voice fits Tiffania’s character very well. She didn’t really get that many lines in this episode though, so maybe I’ll get used to it after awhile. Siesta’s tagging along with everyone seemed kind of random too, but I suppose it did provide for a bit of comic relief. Unlike Noto, Yui Horie has been playing a lot of roles that I’ve liked recently. Siesta’s mindless cheering was so her. The rest of the episode was pretty awesome, though pretty similar to the last. I think I’m actually liking Agnes a lot now, which actually makes me appreciate the seemingly subpar second season a bit more (I also laughed really hard at her facial expressions while watching the fighting couple in front her). I loved Saito’s clear decisions to protect Louise, and Louise’s anxiety about not knowing what to do if she were to lose Saito. I was totally psyched when Saito popped out of the summoning portal too. Love power always saves the day….imo. The preview suggests that there will be some proper character development on Tiffania’s side next week. I guess it could turn out fairly fun.

JC Staff is now censoring girl-girl fondling? Not a good sign for this season.

I agree with ItAintEazy on this one XD. Sigh….don’t really understand Saito’s taste in girl. There are bunch of good looking girls in ZnT yet he picks Louise ?? Don’t get it. I can’t even believe I watched this series passed all 2 seasons.

..I thought the censorship was hillarious IMO. And WHOA @ Tiffinia

Kenshin, you do realize he’s a virtual slave, right? I don’t think he has much of a choice at all.

By character development you mean breast development

You know how the adage goes: Breast Development is Best Development.

That elf’s breasts are disgusting. Seriously.

Anyway, I think this season has been entertaining so far! Siesta was totally out of place, but she is ultimately the most likable character on the show, especially when she is a direct contrast to Louise. Not to say Louise isn’t likable, but 90 percent of the things she does are irritating and irrationally combative. It’s really not so much cute anymore, but rather points to a possibly crippling social disorder.

This is how Agnes should have been utilized last season, with an occasional moment to be cool and reassure Saito. Instead we got the major arc devoted to her angsty past.

By character development you mean breast development

Louise hasn’t really had any character development at all through three seasons.
