Summary:

Tsukune wakes up from a dream where he had almost made an advance on Moka, only to be kicked away by her stronger form. This being the start of the new semester, Tsukune makes his way to the yokai academy with higher hopes than when he arrived the first time. Tsukune encounters a young girl shortly after getting off the bus, who quickly defends herself from him. She takes the chance to lick some of his nice smelling blood, however, before giving him more abuse and leaving. Reaching the campus, Tsukune encounters all of his old friends again. Moka takes the chance to suck his blood, but only to be carried off by her large fan base of first years shortly after. Tsukune and the others find that they are in the same class in homeroom, even having Nekonome-sensei return to teach them.

The girls find that they have all received fan letters after class. Moka receives a seemingly sweet one, but this actually turns out to be a quite threatening letter in the end. Tsukune and Moka eventually meet Rubi, who has started working for the school, but they become alarmed to find another threatening letter for Moka while looking through her products. Kurumu and Yukari meanwhile encounter the rude girl from earlier while promoting the newspaper club, but she disappears before they can scold her for her negative words. When Moka and Tsukune come across yet another threatening letter while walking home that afternoon, Moka can only continue to panic. While stalking Tsukune outside his dorm that night, Mizore encounters the girl from earlier. She attacks her after hearing her insults towards her, but she soon escapes.

The next morning, Moka reveals that she could not sleep because of the large mass of letters she received at her dorm. Tsukune gathers the rest of the girls to declare the need to protect Moka from this stalker, but this meeting is interrupted by a bit of chaos not too far away. This ruckus is being caused by the red headed girl who has been causing trouble for everyone, as she is chased by angry yokai. Tsukune eventually tries to have Moka leave with him when it starts to get dangerous, but he pulls off her rosary while attempting to defend her. With this, Moka’s unleashed form stops everyone from panicking by amazing them with her abilities. The girl disappears afterwards, but Moka finally reveals that she knows who she is. As she appears in front of the group, it is revealed that the girl is Moka’s younger sister Shuzen Kokoa.

ED: “DISCOTHEQUE” by Nana Mizuki - This is actually the OP. I’m not going to lie. I’ve actually been listening to this single quite a bit since it was released earlier in the week. Hey, it’s Nana Mizuki. The animation for the song is pretty disappointing, but after seeing the last season’s terrible OP/EDs (that weren’t even properly animated until after half way through the series), I wasn’t expecting much in the first place.

I’m not blogging this trash. I might watch it in secret when nobody is looking though, or use it as background noise while I play Harvest Moon.

Yea, I’m going to lunch… Where’s Clannad?

You do realize the entire series is filler right? Its gonna be like Moka’s sister and then theyre gonna add filler characters that’s about it. :P

Well the first season did nothing but introduce all the main characters and have some conflict with the newspaper club….so yea, my expectations aren’t exactly high in the first place.

You’re doing this whole “keep it a secret” thing wrong.

  5. Totali October 2nd, 2008 3:28 pm

Shh….you’re gonna bust my cover. D:

Yeah, same here, I somehow made it through the 1st season watching the 2nd half of it on twice the speed, which made it almost watchable for that effect, but not quite. Too bad I do have a policy to follow through to a 2nd season after I’m committed to watching it(*cough* ZnT *cough*), so I’ll probably end up watching this as well.

Maybe I’ll follow WAH’s plan to save my soul though.

It’s going to be like zero no tsukaima. Useless filler then reset back again next season.

This show has always been terrible fanservice anyway :P Why are you surprised? But I hold that glimmer of hope that it might just be one of those “so bad you laugh your ass off” types of shows again!

  10. Totali October 3rd, 2008 9:55 am

That’s the thing. I’m not surprised. I’m more surprised that this harvest moon girl keeps turning me down. Don’t be like dat!

Bah this season was a huge dissapointment, after the way they handeld the first season I didn’t have much hope but I thought that maybe GONZO would wise up and actually decide to you know, animate the great manga instead of taking it’s characters and just tossing out everything that made the manga good in the first place.
