damn… its sad… this show looks like this show has jumped the shark. I was hoping the bee outfit in ep 1 was an isolated incident, but MAN. Her outfits are ridiculous, and totally block out the seriousness of her role, ruining her character. The Seiyuu seems to have let the role get to her head to me, and emphasises the “ippen, shinde miru?” line too much. It was softer and much more sinister in the other seasons. I will still watch this, but these seemingly small things take alot out of the show.

I just started watching the second season, but is it just me or has Ai Enma gotten more fashionable? 0.o

I remember Tsugumi, I really hope sometime she will return and play a major role. She returned in the second season… And basically did nothing. It was disappointing.
As for this season I really love the ending theme. The opening isn’t as good as the previous ones, I admit. But after listening to it more I have grown to really like it.

These summaries are very helpful though, as I can’t understand japanese but I really want to watch the series at least a little bit before subs (hopefully) come out. So thank you for doing the two episodes so far.

I love the show’s ideas and such… but it does seem to lack a little something to make it something I look forward to the same way I do some other shows.

this episode was slightly better than the first on ein sense that they focused more Yuzuki and her visions. but as i have realized this is starting to look like a first to finish race because by now Yuzuki should have realized that she has to stop people from carryin out their actions you mentioned that he should have called the cops which was actually the right thing but it might have been too late besides he will just come again and abuse her more.I,m very grateful that u are bloggin this cuz i come right here after watchin the episode to read the blog.

I’m surprised too. Nobody else is really covering this season, which is a shame (Google has a lot of the PV entries, but it’s pretty much you…and I’m somewhere far behind in that mix too). I guess Futakomori really alienated some of the viewerbase…even I had difficulty until the last three episodes. I’m hoping with the tying of Yuzuki to Ai, we’re going to have a sense of continuity throughout the series, instead of all those one-and-done moments.

I miss SNoW OPs, but the new one isn’t all THAT bad, is it? I’ve definitely heard worse.

Thanks for keeping up with this, it’s good to see others still enjoying the series.

I really appreciate your decision to cover this anime. I started getting into Jigoku Shoujo not too long ago and was getting a little concerned when I found that nobody wanted to blog the third series. Although I couldn’t take this episode seriously either, I like the fact that the characters are starting to understand that sending people to hell maybe isn’t worth it.
I like Nana Kitade but I do agree that the OP. isn’t very good.
