I personally think Masako is being ridiculous.
Likewise for the punishment, I think you’re right that it’s kinda blown out of proportion. Past actions cannot be erased, and that’s why we have regrets, but I think it’s unfair to overlook the good things Jun has done afterwards.
It’s kinda like Hamasaki Ayumi, I guess. She’s done gravure, and she can act snobby when she reserved an entire beach for her video shooting or “borrowed” someone else’s hat and never returned it, but many of her fans (me included), love her regardless because of her songs.
