I assumed that this shot towards the end was suppose to confirm who it was. Also, though Yuzuki sensed Sumika towards the beginning of the episode, I don't think they ever acknowledged her contacting Ai. Yuika clearly (at least I think so) did. I could be wrong though. I have been before.

Okay, I’m confused, or stupid, or both. When I saw the episode, I thought they took special care not to reveal which sister got sent to hell. They had strategically placed flashes of light and candlewax covering the operative part of the name, and her arm prevents a clear view of the birtmark (or lack of it) during the awards ceremony. Can someone please explain?

Isn’t it assumed that he is now dead? I was guessing that he just passed on from old age?

Thanks for confirmation about the cherry tree though. There would have been no way for me to recall that from the first season.

That vision of the cherry tree was the same one Ai first saw in episode 20 of season one. It’s definitely foreshadowing something. It’s possible that the the big event of the season will occur here at some point (like Hajime ended up confronting Ai directly there for the first time). Or maybe Yuzuki will read a segment of Hajime’s book where he wrote about himself confronting Ai at the tree? Who knows.

Speaking of Hajime, do you think he’ll return or we’ll find out what happened to him?
