Summary:

Finding that it is cold outside, Kotonoha takes Makoto’s hands to her breasts for warmth. They stop by a restaurant, but Makoto is forced to talk on the phone with Sekai outside. She becomes angry because he will not go home to eat the food she cooked, but Makoto replies by telling her that Kotonoha would not act that way. He expresses his wish that she did not have the baby, before hanging up. Sekai sets out after making a mess in Makoto’s apartment, and witnesses him with Kotonoha on the train. Makoto returns home with Kotonoha, and he begins cleaning up the mess Sekai left. When he returns to the living room, he finds Sekai slapping Kotonoha in the face. Sekai tells Kotonoha to get out, but Kotonoha implies that Sekai is at a fault. She also reveals to her the situation with Setsuna. After bringing up Sekai’s original wishes for her, Kotonoha kisses Makoto.

While walking home, Sekai remembers her times with Setsuna. However, she is reminded of her guilt for making such actions towards Makoto. The next day, Sekai does not attend school. Makoto explains to Kotonoha that she is at the hospital. Later that night, Makoto meets with Sekai in his home. She offers to make tea before saying anything, but she calls Makoto’s cell phone while in the kitchen. When Makoto checks his phone in his room, he reads the one word “Sayonara” at the end of the text message. When he turns around, he faces many stabs from Sekai. When Sekai realizes what she has just done, she runs out of the house in panic. Kotonoha eventually discovers Makoto’s body, and she arranges to meet with Sekai on the school roof.

There, Kotonoha asks Sekai if she went to the hospital. When Sekai replies that she didn’t, Kotonoha implies that her baby was a lie. Kotonoha tells Sekai that she was Makoto’s girlfriend, and suggests that Sekai ask for herself. Sekai opens the bag that Kotonoha has brought with her, to find his remains inside. Unsheathing her saw, Kotonoha swiftly murders Sekai. Afterwards, she confirms that Sekai’s baby was a lie by looking inside of her. Kotonoha later enjoys a vacation while embracing Makoto’s severed head, on a very nice boat in the sunset.

Impression:

Yes!! Kotonoha goes insane and douche bag(11) dies!!! All is well in the world. Thank you School Days, for giving me the ending that I wanted since episode one(sorry Sekai fans). Oh man, this was a good episode. Kotonoha was so hot! Sekai’s phone call to Makoto before the killing was pretty awesome, but it wasn’t as good as Kotonoha’s head in a bag. I told you that was samurai music! It came back in this episode, and it was hilarious. I think Kotonoha’s quote while checking for Sekai’s baby should be put on a plaque or something. Oh, and Kotonoha has a really nice boat. What was up with the happy happy music after the ending? That was great! My final impression is up next!

I’ll probably get flamed for this, but I cannot say that School Days was actually a good anime. From the start, I watched it because of the high expectations the community set for it. Although I was accepting of the introduction, I soon couldn’t take this anime seriously at all. While everyone else was busy discussing the great drama, I was too busy laughing out of my mind at the episodes. It’s hard to describe what this show is suppose to be. It was one of the funniest shows of the season when it wasn’t suppose to be, and it was one of the dumbest dramas I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe how everyone was trying to take the show seriously. Who is everyone? Just take a look around an aggregator. There was a lot of coverage.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed watching School Days…just for the wrong reasons. There’s a difference between enjoying an anime and thinking that the anime is good. I’m sure you understand. I had a blast writing about this show, and I got an extremely large amount of entertainment value out of it. Almost everyone had a different opinion about this show, and it was really fun to take part in that. Just about every possible outcome was shown, with a bit of chaos. In the end, the School Days team was trying to sell an anime to their fans, and they succeeded. However, I can honestly say that if I looked back on this anime in the future, I would say that it was mediocre. With that, my douche bag(12!) campaign finally comes to an end. Ah~ that was a nice boat.

Kotonoha in the snow. Uguu~

Summary:

Sekai has been isolating herself from everyone in her room, ever since she confronted Makoto about Otome. In her absense, Makoto has been sleeping around with many girls, including Hikari. At school, Otome has been trying to find Makoto, but her friends won’t help her. They suggest that Otome has changed, and decide that they will not lose to the rest of the girls. They end up visiting his apartment later. During all of this, Kotonoha has been talking through her cell phone as if she has been talking to Makoto. Sekai discovers that she is going through symptoms of pregnancy, which makes her finally attend school. She tells a very hesitant Makoto to take responsibility, before having to go to the nurse’s room. Even Hikari tells him that he should take responsibility. Makoto remains frustrated at his apartment, until Otome decides to visit him. However, she only goes to state that he was much kinder when they were younger, and leaves him soon after. After being unable to contact anyone, Makoto wonders why these things are happening to him. He eventually starts thinking about Kotonoha again, and she appears in front of him in her mindless state. Makoto despairs after seeing what he has done to her, and embraces her after hearing that she loves him. After Makoto whispers something in her ear, Kotonoha’s eyes come back to life.

Impression:

Ok, now that I’m done laughing my head off…there’s a lot to say about this episode. First of all, this is one of the hardest shows for me to blog. It isn’t because I don’t like the show (now anyways), and it’s certainly not because there isn’t anything to talk about. It’s because I have a really hard time constraining my thoughts in my writing while talking about the episodes. I just don’t like to put things like “ROFL” or “OMG WTF” in my actual writing (although I’ll do it in comments), but I really feel like putting up a few (like 20) “LOL”s in my School Days impressions. I actually jot down quick notes while I watch the shows I blog so that I can 1. write down a word to look up later and 2. remember something to talk about later, and I’ll just say that they don’t look the most presentable for School Days. I think you catch my drift.

Anyways, wow. I’m assuming that you read my posts regularly if you’ve gotten this far. Remember when I joked and asked if Makoto has “banged every girl in the show” yet? Well, it happened….and it made NO sense. Where did Hikari come from!? I thought she liked Taisuke! Did she give up and go for douche bag(10)? What about the other girls? The random side character girls all decided to give it up for him because they “didn’t want to lose”!! WTF! (oops it slipped.) I also love how every girl seems to be completely happy about their twisted relationships with this “great” guy, Makoto. The random ass shots returned in this episode as well, and I think I saw Hikari’s butt swinging across my monitor at least three or four times. As far as the intensity of this episode, it seems like the word going around is that they raised the rating, but it really felt like I was watching something with the plot of a cheap hentai.

Sekai’s “I’ve got a baby” plot twist was really funny. I almost wondered if all the other girls were going to go up to him and say “take responsibility!” as well, but then they explained that they all did it properly. Lame! I almost began to wonder if Makoto was suddenly making Otome his main girl too, but right after I unpaused the episode he just called someone else. Oh god, I am still laughing. That was a lot of numbers. By the way, I hope I don’t get anymore of that School Days “serious business”, because I’ve already gotten that a long time ago on a certain blog. I have yet to be able to take this anime seriously, and I don’t see how I could. It’s based off a freaking eroge and the plot is ridiculous. Don’t give me that “it’s like real life” crap, because even if this was a live action I still wouldn’t be able to take it seriously.

The last thing I need to say is….I’m PISSED about the end of this episode. I have been waiting for Kotonoha to go insane since the beginning of the series, and they totally ruined it for me. I was so happy during the episode too. I was waiting for Kotonoha to suddenly stab Makoto unexpectedly like in Sola or something…..nope, didn’t happen. They’d better make this up for me in the next episode, or I’m going back to flaming School Days. Just kidding! I wonder what Makoto whispered in Kotonoha’s ear. It was probably like “I want to sleep with you.”, so Kotonoha was like “I’m so happy!”.

Oh crap, that wasn’t the last thing. Makoto failing at life was also hilarious. Oh man, I laughed a lot when he slipped and fell. What was it that he said? “Why me?” HAHAHA. Otome visiting his house was great too. She’s just like…”nah, forget it. Bye Bye.” lol….Bye Bye!! If School Days was actually meant to be a comedy, I’d have to say that it beats out Seto no Hanayome which currently holds my place for funniest love comedies of the season. Well, this is probably the first time I’ve used all of my show notes for a School Days post, and I’m not sure if the results were positive or not (like Sekai’s pregnancy test). This ends my epic “Shirukii sempai” style School Days review, and probably the only one you’ll ever get.

PS: I’m also sorry that I used the same joke for an opener in this episode That I used as a ZnT preview last week. I’m sure only two of you probably noticed. I mean, ZnT is related anyways! Hirakawa Daisuke plays Makoto and Gulio! Call me slow, but I only noticed that today when I was watching ZnT. I almost punched Gulio in the face (through the screen).

Summary:

After being taken advantage of by Taisuke, Kotonoha walks outside to see Makoto dancing with Sekai. The next day, Makoto apologizes to Kotonoha on the train. At school, Taisuke seems to be in a really good mood. When Makoto and Sekai imply that Hikari had done something, she denies. Taisuke meets Kotonoha and promises to be good to her, and offers tickets to a xmas dinner. However, Kotonoha denies by continuing to suggest that she is Makoto’s girlfriend. Taisuke asks Makoto what his situation is with Kotonoha, but he doesn’t know what he is talking about. Elsewhere, Kotonoha is abused by her peers as usual, but she denies that she was abandoned. Setsuna meets Makoto outside, and finds that he is still involved with Kotonoha. She tries to convince him to be loyal to Sekai, when Kotonoha shows up. She tries to convince Makoto to accompany her, but Setsuna gives her reasons that Makoto cannot. Kotonoha threatens to reveal what Setsuna did to Makoto the previous night, but Setsuna kisses him again in reply. Makoto’s explanation makes Kotonoha fall to her knees, as he leaves. Sekai talks with Nanami about the party the next day, but Setsuna tells them that she cannot go. When Sekai mentions that she has not been able to find Makoto, Setsuna offers to find him for her.

Makoto has been having his way with Otome, as he explains the trouble he has been getting into. Otome expresses that she is fine with the ways things are, because she did not think Makoto would ever look at her. Outside the storage room, Setsuna realizes what has been going on. That night, Kokoro wonders what her sister is doing up so late, as Kotonoha stands at the kitchen table next to a set of knives. Setsuna decides to visit Makoto’s house to convince him again, but Makoto is only interested in having sex with her. Setsuna tells him that she will let him do anything, as long as he will be loyal to Sekai. At the party the next day, Sekai is introduced to Otome by Nanami. They look up at the movie screen to see something unexpected: videos from the hidden camera in the nurse’s office. After Nanami’s actions are shown, she breaks down into tears. Otome looks up in worry, and Sekai sees Otome’s actions with Makoto. Sekai rushes out to find Makoto, and she runs into Kotonoha on a bridge. Kotonoha believes that Makoto must be with Setsuna, as Sekai sees that she has lost her mind. Makoto tries to catch Setsuna before she leaves at the airport, but she avoids him. She remembers the time when Sekai asked to switch seats with her in class, because she was seated next to Makoto. As she sheds a tear, Setsuna bids a farewell.

Impression:

Wow. Just. Wow. My respect for this show just went up by a lot. Sorry for all the flames up until now. This situation reminds me of a certain other h-game adaption turn around towards the last few episodes (Shuffle anyone?). The climax of the show is coming, with so much betrayed trust being thrown everywhere. They were on the bridge! The bridge!!! I really loved the last train scene, with Sekai and Setsuna passing each other. The videos being shown were somewhat unexpected as well. Besides the last few scenes, the rest of the episode had me laughing all the way through as usual. I swear I have more laughs from this show than I do from my regular love comedies. There were so many ridiculous moments. I mean, come on. Has Makoto banged every chick in the show yet? Even Setsuna became a victim! Makoto, you douche bag(9)!!! I couldn’t believe that Kotonoha still believed that she was still going out with him, and all of the girls’ actions were just unreasonable. Well, it’s time for some samurai action now. Someone call Kaede.

He gets the shaft, she gets the shaft, they’re a big shaft getting family!

Summary:

Kotonoha confronts Setsuna about her kissing Makoto. Setsuna explains that she will be leaving soon and that she wanted a memory for herself, but Kotonoha continues to insist that she is Makoto’s girlfriend and believes that Setsuna has only been trying to get between herself and him. The next day at the festival, Setsuna leaves the work up to her team, as she leaves to attend the festivities. While watching the play that is being put on, Setsuna draws a similarity between it and her own situation. Sekai and Makoto work together like a couple, while Kotonoha gets harassed about her work as usual. Taisuke later stops by to talk to Kotonoha, and once again asks her to the folk dance. However, she continues to insist that she is Makoto’s girlfriend. During his break, Makoto meets Otome, and she asks him to spend some time with her. Otome tries to tell Makoto her feelings, but he is dragged off by Sekai before she can. Makoto is alerted about a visitor of his, and he finds that Kokoro has come to see him. With her is her friend, Uzuki. Kotonoha is confronted by her classmates again later, while they suggest that she is the only one that still believes she is going out with Makoto. Otome meets up with Taisuke outside, and he explains the situation between Makoto and Kotonoha to her. Otome meets with Makoto again, but this time she quickly drags him off to the nurse’s room. After confessing to him, they make love. Kotonoha finds Taisuke in a room while looking for Makoto, and he explains to her that Makoto does not believe that they are going out anymore. Taisuke tells Kotonoha that she has been betrayed, and confesses his love while embracing her. At the folk dance, Makoto dances with Sekai as Setsuna watches from afar. Sekai confirms that she and Makoto are dating, but Makoto only smiles.

Impression:

My “school days” prevented me from blogging this show until now, if you catch my drift. Anyways, wow. This episode was ridiculous. It was like all of the different kinds of dysfunctional relationships were thrown together into one package. Everyone seems to get the shaft except for that douche bag(8) Makoto! It makes no sense! I’ve also noticed that I really cannot handle h-game adaption type shows the way I used to. With School Days even using the same seiyuu that the game used, my toleration rate gets lower with every viewing. However, it does look like things are finally moving forward to the hopefully negative ending. Makoto’s harem increases once again, with Otome finally confessing to him. Not only that, but she is completely fine with being his secret friend with benefits. I would really like to see what all of these girls see in this guy, and the shallow background stories they give really doesn’t help that much. My usual flames aside, I actually like Otome’s character. She is pretty tsuntsun awesome. I also loved Makoto’s scared face after seeing all the messages he had received from Kotonoha (stalker….), and Kotonoha’s horrifying expression while being embraced by Taisuke. It’s coming soon, and you know what I’m talking about. With only a few episodes left, I assume that Makoto will official stay as Sekai’s girlfriend until something else happens around that. My reviews will continue to be late with my University schedule, but I won’t let my anti-Makoto campaign fall!

Who would win in a fight? Setsuna or the Strike Freedom?

Summary:

While in the park with her, Sekai makes her situation with Makoto clear to Setsuna. The next day at school, Taisuke also asks Makoto if he hasn’t broken up with Kotonoha yet. Sekai is absent from school, remembering what happened the previous night. Kotonoha had expressed that she is still Makoto’s girlfriend after slapping Sekai, and asked why she would do such things with him. Setsuna prevents Makoto from talking to Kotonoha as usual at school, and she confronts him about who he truly likes afterwards. Makoto tells her that he currently likes Sekai, so Setsuna tell him to go to Sekai’s house. Makoto tells Sekai that he heard what happened between her and Kotonoha, which makes Sekai ask what she should do. Makoto kisses Sekai and pushes her to the ground, but the tea he spilled in the process prevents them from going any further. Setsuna talks to Sekai that night, assuring that Makoto will break up with Kotonoha.

Sekai appears at school the next day with a forced smile, and Makoto meets Kotonoha on the train after school. While clinging to him, Kotonoha convinces him that he can have some time alone with her while no one else is home. Makoto then agrees to go to the folk dance with her, before calling Sekai again. Setsuna has preparations made for her trip to France that night, convinced that Sekai will be ok as long as Makoto is there for her. The festival activities begin the next day, and Setsuna has preparations made to make everything go well. Makoto helps Sekai move supplies that night, and she tells him of her leaving to France. She tells Makoto that Sekai would lock herself in her room when things went wrong, and that she would do her best for her at those times. Since she is leaving, she believes it will only be ok if Makoto is there for her. Setsuna remembers the time that Makoto helped her, and convinced her to be the class president. Setsuna gives Makoto a kiss while he is asleep at school afterwards, but she turns to find that Kotonoha has witnessed this.

Impression:

Ok, maybe I need to take back what I said last week, because this episode was pure win. Setsuna’s actions during the school festival were so Gundam. I could almost see her launching off in her suit when she said “deru”. Her crying face was super moe as well, and Kotonoha finding her kissing Makoto was hilarious. I mean, Kotonoha’s expression was almost as bad as the one she had when she found out about Sekai. It was priceless. Jokes aside, I actually liked how a lot of the scenes were put together too. Setsuna in the park with Sekai, Setsuna confronting Makoto in the classroom, and Setsuna transfering bodies Higurashi style were particularly awesome (ok, so maybe that wasn’t completely joke free). As much as this episode was focused on her though, it seems like she will be out of the picture soon with her moving to France. With Setsuna’s meddling out of the way, Makoto’s situation might get better or worse.

I knew they were going to totally put off the climax of last episode and just do a flashback of Kotonoha slapping Sekai. The situation may be clear between the two girls now, but nothing has really changed at all. Makoto still can’t make things clear because of that thing in his pants. I love how scenes like this ended up with him pushing Sekai on the floor after staring at her clothes, and how he is easily persuaded by Kotonoha after staring at her boobs. What a douche bag(7). Speaking of Kotonoha, it looks like her personality shifts have already started happening. First is modest, next is…not modest, and the final should be mind break Kaede samurai style. I’m looking forward to that!

Gogo Setsuna!

Summary:

While spending time together on the rooftop with Makoto, Sekai wonders why Kotonoha hasn’t been showing up lately. Makoto suggests that she is busy with club activities, but Kotonoha is actually standing outside the door listening to them. While knitting in her room later, Kotonoha wonders why Makoto has been doing those kinds of things with Sekai. She thinks that it must be because she needs to try harder, when her sister comes in to ask if she can go to the school festival with her to see Makoto. Later in school while discussing activities, Setsuna tells everyone that Makoto has broken up with Kotonoha and is now going out with Sekai. Elsewhere, things are being pushed onto Kotonoha as usual. and Nanami informs Otome of the news she heard about Kotonoha. Kotonoha tries to approach Makoto after a meeting, but Setsuna pulls him away. After they have gotten away from her, Setsuna also blocks Kotonoha’s number from Makoto’s cell phone. Kotonoha stays in a state of confusion while the festival activities are going on, until she meets Makoto again. He manages to talk to her this time, but Setsuna continues to tell him to avoid her for Sekai’s sake. Makoto can’t help but go after Kotonoha, but he finds that she is getting help from Taisuke when he finds her. As the rest of the girls arrive, they watch as Taisuke asks Kotonoha to attend the folk dance with him. Kotonoha runs out after hearing that he thought that she broke up with Makoto, but she is stopped by Nanami who doesn’t believe that her actions were innocent. Kotonoha arrives at Makoto’s apartment at night while Sekai is inside. Makoto tries to convince her that things are alright with his phone now, and that he cannot talk to her because he isn’t feeling well. Kotonoha sees that Sekai’s shoes are there, but she leaves anyways. Sekai runs out of Makoto’s apartment in tears shortly afterwards, and she finds that Kotonoha is waiting for her outside. Declaring that what she is doing isn’t fair, Kotonoha gives Sekai a slap in the face.

Impression:

So when Kotonoha finds out about Makoto and Sekai, instead of doing anything about it, she decides to sit around and watch for awhile….ok. Setsuna’s interference has started moving things in a bad direction, particularly for Kotonoha. However, I think we could still blame this on everyone’s indecisiveness. Kotonoha finally faces Sekai, but we’ll have till the next episode to find out what happens with that. Unfortunately, I just can’t get as excited about this show as everyone else is. I was looking forward to it in the beginning, but it now seems like the Sola of the new season. What that means is that everyone is following this show, yet I feel like I’m the only one that doesn’t see what is so great about it. What’s next? Maybe I’ll cover the second Suzumiya Haruhi despite not being a Haruhist. There was so much build up in this episode, but I just couldn’t get into the drama at all. For example, the unraveling of Kotonoha’s knitting probably represented the falling apart of her relationship with Makoto, but I felt like it was just a waste of a half a minute. I guess I just see this as too much of an h-game adaption to take it seriously. At least I still have a lot to say about it, which I guess is more important than loving a show in blogging. Oh yea, and……moe!!! I think I just joined the bandwagon of Setsuna fans because of that scene. I also found Hikari’s orz scene quite hilarious.

EDIT: Oh crap, I almost forgot! Makoto = douche bag(6). This time it is because the only reason he wanted to talk to Kotonoha was to look through her wet shirt.

Summary:

Sekai has become very involved with Makoto. The two kiss outside her workplace, while Makoto ignores Kotonoha’s phone calls. While talking about Makoto, Kokoro mentions that Kotonoha has changed. Sekai and Makoto part after leaving his house, and Makoto seemingly ignores Kotonoha while she happily talks to him on the train. When Makoto arrives to class, Setsuna correctly guesses that Sekai was with him the previous night. However, she thinks it is fine as long as he has broken up with Kotonoha, which Sekai lies about being true. In class, Sekai tries to convince Makoto to come clean with Kotonoha, because it would cause trouble for her. An awkward atmosphere continues when the three eat together on the roof afterwards. Kotonoha buys materials in preparation for xmas after school, but she believes that she sees Makoto and Sekai kissing while on the train ride home. Kotonoha has trouble following Makoto to school the next day, and she feels threatened by Otome who calls out to him. After school that day, Kotonoha asks Makoto if she should buy matching phones for him and herself. Makoto starts to walk away because he thinks it is unnecessary, and Kotonoha falls down while trying to follow him. Setsuna visits Sekai that night, but leaves after seeing that she isn’t feeling well. Meanwhile, Makoto continues to ignore Kotonoha’s attempts to contact her. During homeroom activities the next day, Otome is asked about the person she likes by her friends. After they guess that it is Makoto, Kotonoha interrupts by telling them that he is her boyfriend. As messages are sent throughout the school, Kotonoha rushes to get her work done. Makoto pulls Sekai to the roof, while Setsuna smiles at the sight. When Kotonoha makes it to the rooftop door, she hears Sekai’s confession to Makoto. As Makoto declares his love for Sekai, Kotonoha falls to her knees.

Impression:

So I think the School Days animators are trying to make fun of me for not knowing enough kanji to follow the cell phone conversations. Fine, I’ll start reading Remembering the Kanji right now! Ok, sorry. That was probably a really bad inside joke. Anyways, wow. Makoto is a douche bag(5). If you’re going to get involved with another girl, break up with the previous one first. Seriously. Sekai is being a whore as well. Wouldn’t a girl rather have the boy break up with the other girl too? I felt sorry for Kotonoha with Makoto being such a jerk around her. I think the Kaede transformations are coming soon now that she has found out about Sekai and Makoto. I really loved the last scenes building up to the climax, and the soundtrack was very fitting. However, I thought the directing seemed really out of place for a romance drama. For a second there, I thought I was watching a samurai anime. Who knows, maybe they’re just hinting that there will be some samurai action in the future (if you know what I mean). Unfortunately, as much as I loved those last scenes, I still found myself laughing all throughout them. It’s impossible for the show to redeem itself now, and I really can’t take it seriously. Oh well. As long as I enjoy watching it, there’s really not much to complain about. By the way, this had to be the greatest scene ever. In the next episode, Kotonoha and Sekai battle on the rooftop for love and justice! Just kidding.

It must be pool episode week or something in Japan.

Summary:

All of the girls get changed in the pool’s dressing room, while Makoto waits outside with Taisuke. Hikari had Makoto give a ticket to Taisuke on an earlier day, and everyone ended up going on the same day. Hikari manages to have Taisuke come with her after the girls go outside, and Makoto helps Kotonoha learn how to swim. After being left alone for awhile, Makoto starts talking with Sekai. She once again denies him any more training, and brings up that he is going out with Kotonoha. When Kotonoha comes back outside, everyone stops to eat lunch. Taisuke becomes shocked when he finds out that Makoto and Kotonoha are dating, as he believed that Makoto was with Sekai. Kotonoha arrives earlier than the rest of the girls and greets Makoto as they prepare to leave, but he seems to be more concerned with seeing the other girls. Sekai drags him off for a bit, and scolds him again for acting that way. Makoto insists that Sekai knows what he really wants, but she only states that he is Kotonoha’s boyfriend. Makoto leaves Kotonoha early after getting off the bus, and starts making phone calls to Sekai. He eventually meets her in the rain, and kisses her despite her confusion. He declares that she is the one he likes, and they have sex in Sekai’s room that night.

Impression:

Is it just me or did Kotonoha’s boobs change sizes throughout the episode? Well, it looks like the tides have finally turned half way through the series. I find it really funny that when Makoto was declaring that he loved Sekai, the only thing he was paying attention to was her boobs and her butt. Yea….that’s real love, douche bag(4). I was also wrong last week when I guessed that the two might have went all the way last week, but it is pretty much confirmed that they did this time. I can’t believe Kotonoha didn’t overhear even one of Makoto and Sekai’s conversations. I just kept seeing it coming, but it never happened…not even when Makoto grabbed Sekai’s butt in the pool. How convenient. I guess it will just add to the conflict from here on. Makoto probably won’t break up with Kotonoha straight off, so we’ll get to deal with all of that drama. I don’t know if I can call it drama though, because I can’t even take this show seriously with all the blatant fanservice.

Summary:

Kokoro asks her older sister if she has kissed Makoto, and guesses that she has from her reaction. While her friends are asking how far Nanami has gone with her boyfriend, Sekai cannot help but think about the kiss she had with Makoto. On the school rooftop, Makoto and Kotonoha start kissing, but she pulls away when he touches her breasts. That night, Kotonoha calls Sekai to tell her what happened. When Sekai asks her what her ideal situation would be for that type of thing, she gives a ridiculously unrealistic situation. Elsewhere that night, Makoto has been having some fun time by himself. Kotonoha finds that her parents have obtained some tickets after talking on the phone with Sekai, and she decides to take them. The next day on the train, she starts to mention them to Makoto, but she falls on him due to the train shaking. Makoto apologizes for touching her breasts again, which makes Kotonoha decide not to tell him about the tickets in the awkward situation.

Later at school, Makoto snaps at Sekai after she jokingly suggests what it going on in his relationship with Kotonoha. Pulling him out into the hall, Sekai offers to give him training to help with Kotonoha. Sekai takes Makoto to places where she thinks Kotonoha will be comfortable like the park or karaoke bar, but none of them seem to work. She finally decides to use the school roof, which she has the keys to. There she starts telling Makoto what to do, such as kissing her and calling her name. Sekai lets Makoto touch her breasts, and this makes him forcefully suggest that he wants her. Sekai confirms that it is ok, but they are interrupted by a message sent to Makoto’s phone from Kotonoha. When Makoto asks when Sekai’s next training session will be, she tells him that there will be none because he has had plenty of practice. Kotonoha asks Makoto if he has seen her message when she sees him, but he declines. They both apologize to each other, and Kotonoha finally mentions the pool tickets to him. While this happens, Sekai again watches in the distance with a disappointing face.

Impression:

Ok, so I have a hard time laughing to Umisho’s jokes when they throw in fanservice on purpose, but I have a hard time not laughing at school days when I’m not suppose to. This episode seemed like boarder line hentai. I think Kotonoha was busy touching her own boobs more than Makoto did in this episode. There were also the obvious and pointless panty shots when Sekai was with her friends, and was that the aftermath of Makoto fapping!? That was a lot of tissues. Sekai goes the “friend with benefits” route with Makoto in her “training” and they almost end up having sex (or did they actually do it…I’m not sure). I knew this show wasn’t going to water the story down that much, but the final rooftop scene was pretty intense. Makoto is getting closer to Sekai, and she obviously wants him as well. I feel sorry for Kotonoha, because she has finally started to try her best. This is the perfect example of a love triangle done completely wrong. I mean, Makoto is a total douche bag (3) that only wants sex. Yes, I did just say that last sentence so I could fit “douche bag” into my post again. Does Kotonoha’s last conversation in this episode hint a pool episode? We’ll see.

Short Summary:

After answering the phone for her her older sister, Kotonoha’s sister Kokoro asks to meet Makoto. Makoto becomes very excited at the chance to visit Kotonoha’s house when Kotonoha tells him this at lunch, and Sekai teasingly tells him what he is doing wrong as usual. After returning to class, Kotonoha is confronted by her classmates for putting off her duties. While riding home together on the train, Makoto embraces Kotonoha, but she runs off in embarrassment at the next stop. While this happens, one of her classmates has been keeping an eye on her. Sekai once again scolds Makoto for what he has done, and declines to go with him to the roof the next day because she is eating with friends. Kotonoha arrives to the roof late, but makes Makoto happy when she gives a date that he can visit her house. Sometime later, after meeting her at work, Setsuna confronts Sekai about her relationship with Makoto, and Sekai confirms that she is not going out with him. When Makoto visits Kotonoha’s house, Kokoro enthusiastically plays with him. After stopping to have some tea, Kokoro asks why Makoto calls Kotonoha by her last name, which creates an awkward situation. While walking outside afterwards, Makoto finally calls Kotonoha by her first name, and she does the same. Later at the train stop, Kotonoha asks Makoto to close his eyes, but he is surprised to find that she only kisses him on the cheek. At home, when he calls Sekai, Makoto claims that he is getting tired with his relationship with Kotonoha.

Impression:

Oh, the mental tensions and breakdowns are coming. I can feel it! I find it pretty funny how Kotonoha and Makoto’s relationship is obviously one done wrong, and I just can’t help but be reminded of the cheap dramas that are always showing here in the states. I also can’t help but laugh over the blatantly obvious boob and pantie shots they throw out at random. I know I should be expecting them, but it’s been awhile since I’ve watched an h-game adaption. Hahaha. Anyways, this episode pushed Makoto and Kotonoha further into their dysfunctional relationship, with an unexpected twist at the end. Looks like the conflict will be starting soon, and I’m looking forward to it. Once last thing…Makoto is still a douche bag. I think I’m going to say that in every post from now on some how.

Last week I thought the ending theme was just an insert song that was extended to the ED sequence. However, it looks like they will be putting in a new ED every week. I’ve heard that this is something brought over from the game. It’s a nice touch, but I probably won’t be mentioning them because the animations pretty much stay the same with the exception of a few new pictures in the cellphone.
