We’re going raw with this one. And by raw, I mean RAW. I was idling online in Smash Bros while doing some reading for English, when Aroduc invited me to watch Zettai Karen Children live with him. I was definitely up for it after such a boring day of crappy anime, so this is where we ended up. This show is hilarious. I was kind of weirded out by the awful visuals at first, including CG vehicles at random, but I soon found that this series isn’t one that takes itself seriously. Read more

Kamen no Maid Guy: I’m really not sure what is up with this season, but I’ve been pretty disappointed all around so far. Maid Guy’s animation was a lot worse than I was expecting it to be. It reminded me a lot of Kaibutsu Oujo, which was also done by Madhouse. Unfortunately, this show doesn’t have the same themes that actually kept me attached to Princess Resurrection. There was quite a bit of fanservice, and we were quickly thrown into the “siblings get into odd situation” plot. I did laugh a few times, but for the most part, I wasn’t very enthused at all. One thing to note was the really weird OP. I didn’t realize it was KOTOKO until the name popped on screen, since it doesn’t sound like her usual work at all. Read more

There are actually some offerings on Friday for this season, but unfortunately, none of them are that spectacular. I’d say I was let down, but I wasn’t really expecting that much from these shows in the first place. Looks like I’ll be going psgels/hinano style on this one, since I had no intentions of fully covering any of these series anyways. Read more

With the spring season approaching just around the corner, I thought I’d put up some of my expectations for a handful of the shows coming out. My slate will be cleared for the second time in my blogging adventure, but honestly, I don’t have as high hopes for this upcoming season when compared to those in the past. I won’t be doing a full season preview since it’s not really my thing. Instead, you can check THAT, Star Crossed, Memento, or (my favorite) Tenka Seiha.
